Well, this must be what it meant to literally puff up with pride, because they were all lucky that Iria wasn't a bird hirself, because if shi was, the entire corridor would be full of feathers. As it was, shi was just glad that shi wasn't in hir Bipedal form, because the pleased tail-twitches would probably have knocked the feet out from under anyone who came within range - and cheetah tails were long. Calia's obvious pleasure in Aliyah, and Theo's fascination with Kaeisha meant that the Queen was practically purring as it was, because those were hir children that were being cooed over, hir beautiful, wonderful, delightful little ones.
"Of course you may! Especially right now, as this is a time for family." Right after shi said that, hir attention was caught by what Theofilus said, and hir expression turned concerned. "I would really like it if you did join us - I had hoped you would, and I know that Aliyah and Kaeisha would be devastated if they didn't get to spend time with their grandfather..." Despite what shi'd said to Calia, the cheetah wasn't sure if shi hirself would be allowed too much familiarity with The Queen, and so shi trod a careful line between Court-formality and family-informality, balancing on the tightrope as delicately as ever.
Calia's coloring was too much of an attraction for Aliyah, and she finally began batting at the red feathers, paws flailing around in the air as her yellow eyes focused blearily on her targets with as much intent as she could muster, this young.
