She took a long drag on her cigarette as she waited, the orange embers the only light in the dingy alleyway other than the streetlights that barely worked. She exhaled out of the side of her mouth, the thick musky smoke rushing out then gently curling as her breathe slowed. She'd received a note that someone wanted to meet with her to potentially do business. She presumed he was out for some snow from what his letter implied. That was just fine. She liked to see her business expand. Too bad business such as this couldn't expand more. Addiction is best catered locally. What if she got held up in one region or another? She might lose her business to other dealers. Far from it for her to care, though. Consequences were for the future, and the future was for those who will grow old. Someone was coming, but she stayed where she was, leaning against the wall with little indication she was waiting for someone.

He slinked into the alley anxious for his next fix as it had been days since his supply had ran out and only then had he come to find out that his dealer had been caught and thrown in jail. Therefore, as he came down from his high, he was understandably grouchy. It was not too long before he met an informant who knew of another deal to, of course fuel the fire for his addiction. The informant gave him a map and a time to meet the new dealer. Sebak only hoped that this one was as reasonable in price as the last one had been. He saw the dim light of a cigarette and as he moved closer to it he saw a woman he kept walking till he was next to her and quietly leaned against the wall opposite of her. He hoped that this was the dealer.

She looked up at the person who'd joined her in the alleyway, her face illuminated by the embers once again as she inhaled.
"What?" she said, a smirk drifting its way onto her face. The smoke puffing with each syllable, "All the other dingy alleyways taken? Or is it too scary out here in the dark an' you need a little night light?" She took a long drag from her cigarette, than laughed.
"What d'you want?" she asked, taking the cigarette out of her mouth entirely and blowing the rest of the smoke in his direction. Diamond, and not too high of a rank. Good.
She didn't have her seeing-in-the-dark ability activated, choosing instead to spend half of the day in almost complete darkness. That ability was for emergencies only. She didn't want a repeat of that one incident... meet a new client only to have a bright light shone into her eyes. Had she not thrown the bag of powder at them before flying away, who knows if she would have been able to stand in this dingy alleyway now. No. Spells with drawbacks were for emergencies only.
"You come here for something, Marshie?"

Normally he would have found her first remark amusing if two things had been going right that day, one being not on withdrawals and the other if the remark was not made at his expense. He stepped closer to the female trying to get a better look at her.
“Are you the one they call Swift?” The smoke she blew in his direction was far too temping not to take notice of it. He stepped closer until he was right next to her and decided to try some of his diamond charm; it had always worked for him in the past. He reached for the cigarette that she was smoking hoping that she would not mind if he took a drag off it too, he was dying for any kind of high at this point. “I hope you don’t mind if we share…” he gave her a crooked yet handsome smile.

Shift raised an eyebrow.
"No, but I am the one they call Shift. Still gots t' do with speed, so you're one concept and four letters close enough," she mentioned, shaking her head to flip the red hair out of her face. She felt a sudden friendliness toward this man. Yes. He was a Diamond. This was expected. Being in the business for the time she had been, Shift knew the different ways people liked to cut a deal. The Diamonds pulled out their charm, the Hearts like to rely on intimidation, Spades tried to fast talk and/or steal, and the Clubs often offered work in exchange for a discount. Stereotypes hurt sensitive feelings, but they didn't exist without reason. She had a set price, and because of his ability, there was no longer room to haggle. She couldn't risk it.
Then he took her cigarette out of her hand and began smoking it. This did not please her. Had his ability not been activated, he would likely have become acquainted with her boots. Instead she shoved him away from her and stood up from leaning against the wall. Even past his Diamond ability, her infamous temper flared up a bit.
"What the fuck do you want already?"
