I think almost everyone knows by now that I have to put up an 80+ piece show for my senior project. Well I got an email from my roommate from freshmen year. She decided to opt out of showing because she managed to get an internship. It's three weeks before my show and three other people are showing. There's no wall space.
BUT SHE CHANGED HER MIND AND WANTS TO SHOW WITH US.
And to make it better SHE HAS PLANS OF HER OWN.
And now the Gallery director is talking to the chair and the dean about it. Even though she has an internship that counts for senior project. She should have had her shit done and gone the first week when there was an opening.
I am going to flip a bitch.

*takes a deep breath*
So I sent the email out to the people showing with me, because our school email is screwing up quite a bit and three out of four of us couldn't access it. And one of them ended up calling the director this morning to complain about my former roommate making demands of our show.
Well. She's not showing with us. And apparently she wasn't supposed to make demands in the first place, she was simply supposed to inquire if there was room. And technically she wasn't allowed to do any thing because she took an internship rather than Senior Project II. Her idiotic adviser didn't check the guidelines.
Even if she puts up a fight, and she will because she thinks the world revolves around her, there are three of us who will vehemently shot her down and the gallery director said no. And for some crazy reason the Dean herself is excited for this show, and she's the only one former roommate can appeal to.

Arrrrggghhh.. I'm sorry you've had to deal with this. As if you're not already stressed enough!! I can't stand people who have a sense of entitlement and think they deserve whatever they want because they want it. (I can totally relate to dealing with a person like that, if you couldn't tell...) I hope everything goes smoothly. Just hold your ground and think positive!!
