Miserable.... that was the only word she could think to describe herself as lately ... and she had been since her first day here. Not only was the weather here particularly awful, but the company was just about as bad. Of course, her misery and her temper combining might have influenced her hatred of everyone and everything that was in this Warren but she wasn't about to admit that. Dorian, from her observations, was young and arrogant, Aisha she knew from Vikenti's warren, the other doe she purposely avoided when possible and the other leveret... well, she put on her best front since she was forced to be around her most. Idiots... all of them. but she actually had a little bit of time ot herself, which she used to find the coolest spot in the warren, flop herself down and flatten her body against the dirt. With the way her limbs were, and her pose..... she looked more like a rabbit skin rug with a nosehawk then an actual leveret. Didn't anyone realize the Wastes were not a good place for a Solandrian? Really.... what part of Glacier did no one understand?

Dorian found himself with mixed feelings on the new Leveret he'd received as a replacement for... the freak that no one was to speak about again. On the one hand, she looked quite nice as a showpiece with those rich colors and flashy bits of jewelry. On the other hand, she constantly looked either exhausted or overheated and he wasn't sure which state irked him more. How could anyone appreciate the aesthetics of a Leveret who seemed ready to drop? With the darling little Morganberry having just finished with his hair and her attentions now on the manes of his Does, Dorian wandered the halls in search of the Solandrian, feeling a mite peckish. His eyes almost glanced over her - probably would have, if not for the brilliantly blue nosehawk that stuck up proudly from the furry mass that closely resembled a rug. Except he didn't have any fur rugs. "Well, don't you look lazy," he remarked with a faint grimace of disapproval. "Come on, up. I'm hungry."

She heard the soft footfalls before she saw him, and that made her flatten herself out all the more. She'd just found this perfectly wonderful spot that made her the least miserable she'd been since moving here and wanted to linger there as long as was possible. She closed her eyes so she could say that she hadn't seen the Jack coming ... and it wouldn't be a lie. you couldn't see if your eyes were closed, could you?
His voice made her ears twitch back a bit and his words struck a little chord in her mind that laughter try and bubble up. As much as she disliked Jacks, common sense suggested that laughing at one wasn't advisable. She tried to choke it back, succeeding for the most part besides an odd sound escaping her nostrils that.... wasn't quite a snort. She lifted a paw to her nose and brushed at it as she peeled herself off of the floor.
My apologies, what might your taste buds be calling for, good sir Dorian?
She didn't know his taste yet, and didn't want ot offend him ... so she'd simply be as courteous as she could and sneak in a little bit of ego fluffing if the moment was right. She'd hate herself a little more... but at least she'd keep herself in one piece.
She followed along behind the Hisstor, keeping her posture and tone just submissive enough to appease him ... hopefully.

When the little thing snuffed and wiped at her nose, Dorian wondered for a moment if she was coming down with some sort of illness. The thought wasn't a pleasant one, but then she spoke with a clear voice that didn't sound as though her sinuses were congested. Good. The last thing he needed with such a small Leveret staff force was some sort of cold halving the workforce. Then his Does would have to pick up the slack, and that probably wouldn't go over very well.
He pondered his palette for a moment as he began walking towards the kitchens. He didn't notice anything besides submission in her posture and tone and that was fine. What did he feel like?
"I think a plate of dried fruit should be fine. A few different kinds, whatever we have on hand, and make sure there's a napkin and glass along with it." He would go grab himself a bottle of light fruit wine and be right back to the kitchen, turning to fetch it when he saw the Leveret begin her task.

((Talaith was just traded to Heike. <3 I'm going to close this, but if you'd rather I reinstate and finish it, just let me know.))
