This being a Jack business was rather difficult. Keeping up with all of the protocols was enough to make the Avington's head spin. However, he had come to this warren with a mission. He really needed more leverets for things to run smoothly. Two simply wasn't enough to take care of all the things that needed to be done. And his sister didn't particular deserve to be under a pile of work. They had to wash far more laundry than he ever would have anticipated in his life time. Then again he had never particular planned on having his life becoming so complicated so fast. Funny how things worked. Never going as planned. So here he was in the Hisstor Wastes. Fantastic. The Jack knocked on the door, shifting the package under his arm. He had made all of the preparations so he wouldn't arrive completely unannounced.

After a moment, Heike would hear a shuffling hop approaching the door, accompanied by the occasional slide of a tail. The noise would be more identifiable as such when the door was tentatively opened and a little Yarrow head peeked out. Winnie's purple eyes stared at him for just a moment through her flop of a mane before she opened the door the rest of the way and bowed her head in respect. The tiny wings on her back fluttered uselessly. "Welcome, to the warren of the glorious Jack Dorian. How may I assist you?" That greeting got old after a while, but she said it as she'd been instructed every time. The last thing she wanted was for the master to be informed of some transgression. He wasn't the type to harshly punish, but he could be remarkably fickle with the staff. She remembered the wording, said it as she'd been instructed, and kept her opinions to herself. As far as she knew, this was an entirely new visitor to the warren. She didn't remember seeing any Avington Rabbits before. His necklace reminded her oddly of Miss Aisha's, though.

The rabbit's eyebrow twitched at the introduction. Glorious was it? Of course he knew that every Jack had an ego the size of a region, but that made him wonder how difficult this one was going to be as far as making deals. He would have to play all of his cards carefully.
Heike studied the leveret with a brief glance up and down. A rather pretty Yarrow girl with a small wing mutation. If she was a sign of this Jack's taste he couldn't help but wonder if all the staff was as pretty as this. Hopefully there was one of two that had a head on their shoulders.
"I'm Heike of Avington, I have an appointment with your Master." He said with a rather bright smile. He gripped the contents of the package a bit tighter. Hopefully what he had brought would be enough to persuade the man. If it wasn't he had a bit extra hidden in his coat just in case something came up.
He waited, clearly poised and ready to take a step inside. The Wastes were quite a place to have a Warren. Hot, dry, absolutely nothing around for miles. He wanted to be inside before he either baked alive or something saw him.

"Of course, sir. Please come inside. I'll direct you to a sitting room where you might await our master's arrival." More rote greetings and instructions. At least Winnie was allowed to speak as a Rabbit. However strange this society was, everything seemed to have a place and her own place wasn't as decorative furniture. She was expected to do something, but was in turn granted a small degree of freedom. And she was used to being property. Oddly enough, this was... a better life.
It was just so hot here! She cautiously ushered the Jack inside, pushing the entrance to their warren closed behind her and sighing in relief when she no longer felt the blazing sun. Why had he been traveling during a hotter part of the day? And in clothing?
Putting such thoughts from her mind, she directed him to the sitting room and asked him politely to wait until Dorian came. "In the meantime, refreshments are available. Would you care for some water, sir?" The deserts were hot and dry. His throat had to be parched.

The greeting sounded fake, or at least a little stiff. His eyebrows twitched upwards slightly as he watched the leveret from behind. That was one heck of a tail mutation combined with a little mane and fairy wings. He couldn't help but wonder what the leveret would look like as a Doe. Probably just as adorable.
He glanced around the warren, taking note of the decor and set up. If this Jack's taste had anything to do with his personality, Heike was slightly worried. This seemed like it was going to be more than a little difficult task.
Heike took a seat as soon as he had the chance. At least this way he could rest his feet from the wonderful walk in the middle of nowhere. Of course, he still looked a bit nervous. That wouldn't change until the other Jack walked into the room and he could get this over with.
"Water would be fantastic, thank you," He said with a smile as charming as he could muster at the moment.

Winnie sighed in relief when the Jack seemed to be a more amenable sort, hopefully not too obviously, and hopped off to have the kitchens make something quick and presentable for their guest. Then she informed her Jack of the arrival and hopped back with a small cart and two glasses of water. The refreshments would come a short while later, after she returned the cart. A few minutes later, a light tinking could be heard before Dorian entered the room with the welcoming smile of a host and a small, polite bow for his guest. "Good day, sir, and welcome to my warren! You would be the Jack Heike, then? I must say that your antlers are marvelous. I've had very few dealings with Avingtons in the past but I'd certainly heard of the accessories. Please, make yourself comfortable as best you can. My Leverets will doubtless be out in a short while with further refreshments. In the meantime, how was your journey across the realms?"He would make idle small talk until food arrived, and for a good little while afterward. The beating sun often left visitors fatigued and he needed to judge whether or not this Jack would require a brief nap before they discussed anything more serious. No good blathering on about trades when your guest was minutes away from heat stroke, now was there? Once he judged the timing to be appropriate, the Hisstor Jack would pluck an olive to eat and further relax into his chair. His study, his home turf, his comfort. How lovely that people were willing to visit him so much more often now that he'd properly settled himself a warren! "I'll admit that hints of your offers through our correspondence were quite intriguing, sir. Now that we're speaking face-to-face, would you be willing to elaborate on your proposition?"

Heike wasn't sure what to expect of the Jack. He had only heard rumors, and most of the time they couldn't be believed. When Dorian entered the room Heike's face went completely blank. If it was because of self control or because of complete and utter surprise he wasn't entirely sure. "Good day to you as well. Yes, I am. It's an absolute pleasure to meet you, and I have to say I've never dealt with a Hisstor such as yourself. I hope you don't mind me saying I don't think any of the descriptions I heard of you did any justice. I suppose words can't really describe someone as well rounded as yourself." He paused to take a breath at least. "Thank you for having me as your guest."
Hopefully that was cordial enough. The small talk and chatter was pleasant enough. He seemed like he was actually interested in the trade when it came down to it. This wasn't a wasted trip and this wasn't a wasted effort.
"Yes, I do have an item you might be interested in exchange for what we discussed." He reached into the small bag that he had brought, pulling out a small cloth package. "I managed to acquire this rather lovely necklace that has an... interesting effect on Does. I think even the most cold hearted Doe would be swayed by the magic of this lovely necklace." He unwrapped it, holding it out for the other Jack to see. "Of course you can test it if you don't believe me."
After a moment a thought popped into his head. It was worth a shot to ask. "Also, I was wondering if you happen to have a Doe in your possession that has a mane made of flames?"
Elegant Satin Choker: This beautiful choker is fashioned from a dark green satin and mounted with a lovely sapphire brooch. When placed on, it gives the owner the ability to cause incredible feelings of soft, gentle arousal and desire in those around them for a full half hour. Using it on Does can cause even the frostiest Doe to come around for a bit as she will have an incredibly hard time resisting the allure. As a Doe on a Jack, it will help to relax and refine the Jack's mood in a way that will leave them still feeling uplifted and pleased after the spell has worn off.

Oh, that item enticed Dorian. Oh yes it did. It taunted him, even, with the promise of its spell. Not that he wasn't already the most irresistible being on two feet when in the presence of women, but with an... 'Ace' in the hole, as the Cards might say, would there ever be any doubt?
No, there wouldn't.
He had to have it.
His guest became his focus and he pandered to the other Jack, amusing him with doubtless witty anecdotes while he made sure that he had a good meal in his belly. Their negotiations were deliberately casual, deliberately brief... but in the end, that necklace would be his.
And the other man expressed an interest in a Doe with hair of blazing flame? "Why yes, dear sir, I do possess such a creature. Enchanting, though dangerous. I fear that she overheats herself far too easily in this desert climate, but she is indeed a treasure. Would you care to meet with her this evening? So long as you don't take any singes or burns amiss - which shouldn't be the case if you exercise due caution - I assure you that she is well worth your attentions. A very obliging lady, dear Igni."
He left Heike with those and other ambiguous remarks, pleased to be able to oblige such an exotic request. The man must have seen her elsewhere, during her previous stint in another's warren. When they both retired for the evening, he made sure that the Leverets knew to send her to tend to their guest's needs. As to himself, he had a date with a Highland beauty and a magical necklace.

Heike had never actually expected the man to say "why yes I do" in any way shape for form. So when he did the look on Heike's face was briefly priceless to behold. He had never expected to Igni in such a matter. And when her name was spoken it only made things so much more real.
"I would like to meet her this evening." He said with the most charming smile he could manage. For once it didn't look like it was forced or simply polite, though Dorian wouldn't read it in an particular special fashion. At least that was what the Avington hoped.
It was the best evening he had had in a long while. It was unbelievable.
So he proposed a second trade. Two leverets and Igni for the neclklace and another interesting item he had carried with him "just in case." He was more than happy to part with it for what he would be getting in return.
Velvet Cravat: This thin cravat is a silky maroon with a tiny pearl brooch. It tingles slightly to the touch and will wrap itself snugly and carefully around the throat of whoever claims it first, refusing to ever be taken off unless cut. Be careful though, if cut off, it could give one quite the terrible backlash...
