Hey guys. God, I've missed you all SO MUCH. I'm so sorry I've been away for this long. A lot has happened since I put up my hiatus weeks ago. Let me try to tell you what's gone on without typing out an epic tale. (Although it's bound to happen anyway...)
First off, my three week trip to California and back was FANTASTIC. And also very tiring. My two friends and I saw many things, and altogether went through 23 states. Whoo! We spent most of our time in California, spending a few days in Dublin, CA (which is outside San Francisco) with a friend of a friend, who was an exceptional hostess. Then we stayed in Los Angeles for about 4 days; went to a taping of the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson (so. fucking. HILARIOUS!), took a tour of Warner Brothers Studios (incredibly cool!) and got to see Jimmy Kimmel and Tom Cruise zip line off a building to Grauman's Chinese Theater. Oh yeah, it was AWESOME.
After getting back, I was all set to get ready to move into an apartment with one good friend I went on the road trip with, as well as another girl from the college I went to who I've gotten to know recently.
Then shit hit the fan.
After sitting down with my parents (who can be scary people sometimes, so I am reluctant to talk with them about such things since I'm always afraid of the result) and going over my finances, I realized I just couldn't pay the rent as well as all the bills I'd acquire. I just don't make enough right now to support all that. My future roommates and I had a Facebook message chat going, and wanting to tell them both at the same time, I told them there that I wouldn't be able to move in with them after all. I was heartbroken and beyond upset, crying my eyes out while I wrote them a very sincere message, hoping they wouldn't hate me.
My good friend (the one I went on the road trip with) exploded on me, saying "if you can't afford $400/month, you'll never move out" and "I'll never be able to trust anyone else after this". The other girl was also upset, but less ranty and mad. Now, I must mention that I told them this last week, which is three weeks before the move in date my good friend had set, since she starts work again up here in NH mid-August. (She lives in New Jersey, and works as my college's assistant librarian.) So, they had good reason to be upset. I just wasn't expecting our friendship to fall to pieces because I wouldn't be able to pay rent. I was upset for days after, since every time I apologized further, my good friend took everything I said, twisted it up, and spat it back in my face. After talking to a few of my true friends (including Kari <3) and even my boss, I decided that I was done. If my good friend wanted to end our friendship like that, then she would get it. But, it still hurts every time I think about it :<
That is the end of the sad part of the story. Just today, I went for an interview for a job IN MY FIELD OF EXPERTISE. And by golly, I think I got it! It's for a small little place in Concord, NH, but they do exceptional work. I only found out about this place because a girl I used to work with at another job is now working there, and she recommended me for an open position! She is officially my hero XD
Well, I guess this did turn out to be quite the little tale. Sorry for ranting your ears off for over 600 words. But, thank you for reading anyway. <333
