((Since he's already met Mirriam...XD HAVE SOMEONE TOO 'OLD'.)) Free candy was definitely enough of an excuse to come to the Capital. Felix had always loved Halloween, he loved dressing up in costumes, and yelling, and the cool decorations, and of course the free stuff...although once he got too old for it, his dad made him feel a bit silly if he caught him trick-or-treating, and his mom had stopped making costumes for him. Hence needing to come all the way to Capital City to do this. Also, he was a little short of the money to buy a really nice costume...so, he had done the laziest possible solution. Cut up one of the old bed sheets in the attic. Ta-da, instant ghost costume! Of course, he made a rather lumpy, funny-looking ghost, but that was okay. He waddled along his merry way, the basket clutched in one paw slowly filling up with candy. Catching sight of one house with really elaborate carved pumpkins, his golden eyes widened and he had to approach! He knocked, and then stared at Merlin as he opened the door. " Wow, man, those pumpkins look awesome, they must have taken forever! Oh and...Trick or Treat!" He grinned and held out the basket. He didn't care he was too 'old' to trick or treat. Free candy was free candy, and holidays should be fun for everyone!

Joel bounded up to the door, a little awkward on two oversized front paws and a dainty pair of hooves in the rear. His coustume was another corvie special-- He was dressed, oddly enough, as a lobster. His "shell" were made mostly of cardbord and what looked like bits of cast-off sheet metal, all cobbled together with superglue and twine, then painted an uneven greeny-brown color. After all, he didn't want to be a cooked lobster! He rung the doorbell and grinned to himself. Mmmmm, candy. It seemed the boy was always hungry these days-- he was probably due for yet another growth spurt. He was already larger and stronger than most other children his age, it was only his mellow nature that kept him from falling easily into the role of a formidable bully. When the door creaked open (It seemed to take an eternity to the eager child), he yelled cheerfully, "Twick 'r Tweeeet!", his voice a bit muffled by the pillowcase half-full of sugary snacks he clutched in his teeth.

Goodness... what was with all the old people coming to the door? Merlin was almost resenting the fact they were eating up all his candy meant for the good children of the Capital, but when he opened the door his near scowl softened into a look of mild surprise. Someone in a ghost costume, eh? The Selkie coloring could be seen through the eyeholes and on the legs, and hilariously a few blue and white spines poked through the sheets here and there. A Porcupine, perhaps? That was a very uncommon breed, and immediately Merlin found himself wondering what he looked like under that sheet...
Despite himself, his maw cracked into a goofy grin. "Oh! Ah, thanks. I never considered myself an artist before, but it was certainly an experience." Taking a generous handful of candy, he placed it in the Selkie's basket. Should he... invite him in? Offer some tea? No.. no. It wouldn't be appropriate. Instead, Merlin wished him a good night and watched the man leave. Huh. Dang.
---
Merlin opened the door, only to have a look of confusion for a few moments as he tried to figure out just what the boy was. Finally, his face lit up with recognition. "Oh! Crab? No... Lobster! Either that or a -monster- crawdad. I almost can't recognize one without them being -cooked- first." He licked his chops to emphasize that, laughing as he put a handful of treats into the lad's pillowcase. Aha... that's the way it was done... the ol' pillowcase route. But that outfit... wow were those Corvies really something else when it came to what they could think up.. and even better was what they were able to create!.

Felix had only smiles for the man who opened the door, though his mouth was hidden under the sheet so it probably wasn't able to be seen. Oooh, an Avington...he'd always thought they were rather pretty, actually, and he had wings! Felix loved feathers, they were so soft. He eagerly accepted the candy, not seeming at all ashamed of taking it away from the kids...hey, this guy seemed like he had enough anyway, what with how much he had just given him.
"Thanks! And you should try that artistic thing more often. My parents made pumpkins too but their faces were just the same ones you always see," Felix remarked, not mentioning that the pumpkin they'd given him to carve had gotten one eye before his arm had started hurting and he left to go do something else that was less work. "Anyway, Happy Halloween, man!" With a grin he ambled back off into the night to find more houses that wouldn't mind giving candy to a young adult.
