Caffeine, Scotch, Dark Chocolate, and Cream cannot compare to Ciaran Sheehan's voice. Thanks to the wonders of the Internet, he left me torn and agonizing between the Phantom (Franc D'Ambrosio) and the Vicomte De Chagny. He's reading for a new musical. Naturally, he stole my heart - and seduced me into listening to the music, which I've fallen in love with. The musical has a plot that startlingly parallels the Phantom of the Opera in places, for the Dutchman, cursed to sail the seas for eternity, may only set foot upon dry land once every seven years. He has seven days to find a woman of virtue to knowingly share his fate, that his curse might be lifted. I swear I'm not into this purely for Phantom. I'll admit it, I first thought of Pirates of the Caribbean movies. XD That being said, I LOVE THE PHANTOM! The Vicomte can suck it!  Since you love PotO, you have heard there is a sequel play called Love Never Dies? I'll check this out! |

I'll admit it, I first thought of Pirates of the Caribbean movies. XD I'm a fan of those, too. Johnny Depp. Hawt. That being said, I LOVE THE PHANTOM! The Vicomte can suck it! You ain't ever heard this guy sing the Vicomte, right? He's... Words fail me. Since you love PotO, you have heard there is a sequel play called Love Never Dies? Unfortunately. LMFAO. Yeah, I read the synopsis for Love Never Dies. I couldn't believe they actually went there. o.O;;
I mean, part of me was insanely happy with the outcome but... it all seemed like such a cheap cop out. Then I tried previewing some of the songs on iTunes and I was less than impressed.
I still can't believe they made a sequel, THEN made the sequel into THAT. [shudders]
I'm sure he sings amazing as the Vicomte, but... no matter who sings for him the Phantom always has my heart. <3
OH! And One Last Thing:
When I read the words The Flying Dutchman, I will go ahead and admit that Pirates of the Caribbean wasn't the first thing that popped into my head.

Although I note that the thought of the Vicomte being unmanned, and Christine having the Phantom's love child, if not used in a deus ex machina, has some serious potential to appeal to the fans. See Susan Kay's Phantom. I'm sure he sings amazing as the Vicomte, but... no matter who sings for him the Phantom always has my heart. <3 The thing is, he sang Phantom, too.
