Notes: Her human form has given her the ability to jump a full ten feet into the air once a week without effort. She lands on her feet 75% of the time.
Notes: That weapon (a Lochaber axe) she carries was a gift to her. It's not magical but she's been training with it... so it's like lightning in her paws. She is a fully free Torquehelm and there is a stripe of gold riding directly down her spine.
Notes: Poor Xiven's tail. She has a squishy mass of spinal column from where her tail was melted off.
Former Notes: How odd, her wings seem to have disappeared...
Scorpion Tail: The tail is about 4 feet long, curls against her back, and is somewhat flexible, though the chitinous covering makes it rather stiff on a swing and carries her with it. This tail when she desires, all on command, she'll have full control over it and its movement. When she "retracts" it, she'll have the bony, spine tail. This tail can show up in her human form. "It'll make people feel repulsed and, unless she's modified her clothing, will make her skirt do things Pale likes...thought the tail should, by all rights, either disgust, or scare the shit out of him and most other SD. <3"
Moderate Ability: Once a week, the tail is able to split painlessly into three at the base and each tail can then hyper extend out to six feet for a full minute. They all become extremely flexible during this time and are as fast as their owner would be naturally.
Poison: Once a week, her sting is capable of delivering a small dose of poison. This poison only affects Clubs and Diamonds at this point in time, but more points could change that. The poison itself causes a very sudden and extreme bout of lethargy to strike and will knock Cards ranked 8 and lower completely on their backs, though they will only lose consciousness if they are weak in stamina, for an hour or more. Cards ranked Jack and King will feel exceedingly weak and woozy and will feel as though the world is tilting beneath them as they walk, many will be thrown horribly off balance, and flying Cards had best be careful flying like this. Other Queens will become dizzy but otherwise be unaffected.
The poison takes about a half hour to be sweated out by the victim.
Basic Magical Ability: She can ignore moderate amounts of pain for up to thirty seconds.
Pain Ability Boost: She can no longer feel any amount of pain when she activates this ability...however, while it's activated, nor can she feel love, affection, sadness, or fear.
She becomes tyrannical and monstrous when this ability is in effect and would just as happily destroy her children as she would an opponent.
She can hold this ability for up to two hours a day.
Moderate Magical Ability: When activated, she gains an immediate proficiency with any weapon that she picks up. This can be activated and deactivated at will.
Strong Magical Ability: When activated, she can inflict mental pain on another card of any suit, once per day. The degree of pain is equivalent to that of their teeth slowly being pulled out, one by one, even though their teeth remain in their head. This will probably be an extremely strange and distracting sensation.
Strong Ability Addition: Now whenever she activates this ability, the creature in question will also get the disturbing sensation that something is being injected into their veins, directly below the jaw. They won't be aware of anything else happening until Xiven releases them.
Only then will they come to the realization that their entire jaw has gone numb. They will not be able to speak properly, swallow often enough (oh, drooling), and might bite their tongue by accident a few times, until the spell wears off in an hour <3
Powerful Magical Ability: When activated, she can control the mind of a lesser Heart for up to thirty minutes, once per week. The individual being controlled would know and, in order for the spell to work, she must first go to sleep. She has complete control over them, with the exception of the fact that their left eye will twitch intensely if they are forced to lie. When she wakes up after the half hour, all control is lost.
Jack's Ability: She is immune to any and all poisons, unless the poison is injected, in which case it will affect her normally.
Addition: Xiven is no longer addicted to her daughter, though she does still think her daughter smells like the best thing in the world, and the scent her daughter gives off will still make her happier than she was before...like Fluffy, but not. She is utterly immune to her daughter's narcotics. Sadly though, others in the palace are not so lucky.
King's Ability: Any poison ingested by her will be automatically and immediately transferred to the body of the person who last handled the poison and/or its method of transport, ie. the bottle it was in rather than the glass it was poured into.
Queen's Ability: Once per week, she can touch something that is edible or drinkable and secrete her own tasteless, untraceable poison into it. This poison will put the other person into a deep, coma-like sleep for twenty days, after which point they will wake up normally and feeling very refreshed.
Moderate Ability: Once a week, she is capable of secreting a rather nasty poison through the skin of her palms. This poison is enough to knock out any Cards ranked 10 or lower for a full hour. Once out, they will stand, with a blank expression and follow her for up to a mile before they drop and must stay prone or risk dying. If she attempts to attack this person while they are unconscious however, she will feel an intense pain in her temples as the spell backfires onto her as well. <3
Moderate Ability: Once a month, she is able to turn a summoned weapon into a being consisting completely of water. They can attempt to hold onto their original familiar form while doing so, but many aren't mentally capable and simply become a puddle for a half hour. While in this form, the weapon cannot be unsummoned and cannot be scooped up and taken away as it will cause them unimaginable amounts of pain and mental anguish. After a half hour, they will reform as though nothing ever happened.
Moderate Ability: Once a week, she is now able to move as though she weighed about 100 lbs less than she really does for a full thirty seconds. During this time, she is twice as quick on her feet. The only drawback is that if she is hit during this time, she takes the hit twice as hard.
Powerful Ability: Once a month, she is able to cause a binding, resembling her own original, to appear on another SD for a full ten minutes before it will simply melt off. The heavy chains will impeded their speed and agility and cause them to fumble with their limbs as they get used to the heavy binding.
Amazing Ability: This SD is now able to create small familiars out of mushrooms at will. It will cost the caster 5 points for a basic one, ten points for a more complex one. If you are creating one for another Dealer, it will cost the other dealer 30 points for a basic one and 50 points for a more complex one. Each is entirely obedient to their assigned master and will be unto their death. They each come with their own individual spell (either in attack or defense) and they have little to no personality.
To create one, this SD must Use a little bit of the blood from the SD that will be called master, and mix it with a s tiny amount of hemlock poison. This concoction must then be poured over a tiny mushroom and the following spell must be recited.

Amazing Ability: Once a month, she is now able to cause an opponents' arm to move under her own will. It will do everything she says, short of killing its owner, for a full ten minutes. The victim will be unable to stop their arm with their own mind, though breaking it will stop it from being able to move. Doing this causes no mental strain for Xiven and she barely has to concentrate after she's given it an order, though for each new order she gives the limb, she must stop moving.
Amazing Ability: Once a week, she is now capable of causing the ground in front of her to warp bizarrely into an exact image of the person fighting her. This image, made from whatever was surrounding them as floor/ground/or wall, will resemble the opposition in nightmare version, odd bits of the ground it is made from sticking out at odd angles, faces broken up oddly in line with broken tile or stone, and eyes empty and haunting. This copy of the opponent will then hurl itself mercilessly at them until it breaks, it normally takes about five or so body slams to do this. The creation will not do anything but slam its other self but its body is heavy and covered in usually painful sharp bits. The copy will be just as large as the other person actually is.
Amazing Ability: Once a week, she is now capable of causing an opponent to spew fire from their mouths. The jets they shoot out only extend about two inches, most of it runs down their chin as ignited spittle, but it burns like hell as they are NOT MEANT TO BREATHE FIRE! Many will receive severe burns to the tongue and any "spoken" or word required spells can no longer be activated. The fire will last for about 30 seconds and cause rather a lot of pain as it does so. The only hope of healing that mess is a good Corvie...
Amazing Ability with Boost: Once a week, she is now able to call forth an enormous, sentient cyclone. This cyclone stands about ten feet high and focuses its particular force of calling on magical spells.
It can, per battle, subsume 3 magical attacks thrown by the other person. It will engulf these into itself, getting smaller and weaker each time. After the third, it will simply vanish.
This does not work on non-magical or physical (with magical aid) attacks.
The cyclone is also capable of calling forth (in exchange for subsuming two of the magical attacks) five others, just like it. These will surround the opponent and effectively barricade them in a wall of soundless, nearly airless, vortex that will last for a full minute. During this time anything thrown at the cyclones (even by Xiven) will either be destroyed or wasted. Summoned weapons will find themselves being called forth and sucked into the whirlwind against their will. They will then be trapped inside of it for a full 3 minutes or until the cyclone disappears.
The cyclone calls itself Emeraude and has an inherent dislike for ALL Hearts except for its master. It will, on occasion, attempt to summon itself in order to swipe at one.
Cyclone Boost: The cyclone now acts very much like a summoned weapon herself, though she makes it very clear that she is not one, and looks down on them with heavy disdain. She has her own soul and though process and is not dependent on Xiven, though she is inordinately fond of her, constantly reminding her of how she's the only Heart worth her salt.
She is able to take the form of a short, 30 year old Avington Human now, should she desire. She wears colors of the Midori however, claiming to have caused some inclement weather problems down there often before she took to wandering and found Xiven. She is very fond of the region and anything Midori and tropical as a result.
She found Xiven after a random shot spell awoke her consciousness and she found herself looking for a powerful Card to push her power through and watch the effects she could have on the world. The brutality of the Spades Queen frightened her, and she found that she didn't enjoy Yarrows (mocking them relentlessly when she sees them), which also canceled out the Diamond Queen. Clubs were beneath her, so she disdainfully tried out the Hearts court and found Xiven to be to her tastes.
She is, once a week, in addition to her other powers, able to cause any Hearts and Clubs in her presence to freeze completely for a full five seconds. They aren't able to move or be injured in that time, nor can they see, hear, or speak.
She does not hate Clubs, she just thinks they're all rather dim...poor things. Diamonds are usually her favorite, though she rather despises their new Queen due to realm, but assumes that will pass. Spades are ok in her book, a bit brutal, but ok.
She does not need to eat, but can should she like to, as she's never tasted anything before. She is not capable of mating or breeding, not possessing the necessary parts for such a procedure, though intimacy is not beyond her.
Her temper...is impressive and though she finds pain to be utterly abhorrent and will do almost anything to avoid it...her pride is almost stronger. An insult, especially from a Heart, may now result in her hunting them down for vengeance, summoner or no.
Blood Ability: Once a month, she is now able to cause another person's blood to freeze entirely in a limb of her choice. The only body parts off limits to this ability are the main torso and the head. Should she attempt to use them in these places the spell will backfire back upon her, possibly even killing her and her intended victim.
Once used, the spell will cause the selected limb to freeze completely, making it immobile and useless to the owner. It will pain them for the full duration of an hour, and will take a full day for the circulation to restore itself properly.
Charm Ability: Once a week, she is able to cast a Diamond-like charm ability lasting for a full two hours. She is able to make all Cards ranked King and lower to feel as though she couldn't possibly be lying to them, and that she is absolutely the most witty and intelligent person they have met all evening. When using this ability, it will rebound on Clubs causing them to think she has spoken only evil, hateful, and stupid things, regardless of what she is saying. This ability does not work on Diamond Queens in the slightest, giving them the impression that she is sucking up to them, as opposed to anything else.
While this spell is activated, she can will Cards ranked 8 and below to do as she asks for a full five minutes per person, though she cannot convince them to kill or seriously maim themselves during this time, she can convince them to kill or seriously maim others only with all Dealer's permission.
Fiery Ability: Once a week, she is now able to cause a huge ball of fire, in the shape her most beloved's face to zoom quickly about a room for a full minute. It glows a blue flame and will do its absolute best to attack the opponent as best it can, though water will put it out at once. It, however, has an incredibly strong hatred of Clubs, and may try to attack them over the opponent, regardless of its summoner's instructions.
Moderate Ability: Once a week, she is able to cause a thin film of mucus to coat her palms. This will allow her to climb straight up walls and ceilings, albeit awkwardly and loudly, for a full minute before it wears off.
Light Spell: Once a week, she is able to cause a person she is thinking of to glow incredibly brightly for a full hour. The intensity of the glow will cause people to wince and cause Cards ranked 5 and lower to close their eyes or writhe in pain. This glow will also cause the victim to feel overheated and nauseous for the full duration of the spell. All Clubs subjected to the spell will feel as though their tails are on fire and there will be no way to put it out until the spell is at an end.
Small Ability: Once a week, she is able to cause a to tiny stars to rise from a persons head and swirl around them for a full minute. The result is amusing to many and often embarrassing to the victim.
Weapon Ability Boost: Once a week, she is capable of causing anything she picks up that isn't, and never was, alive to change into a weapon highly resembling her poleaxe and wield it like it was her favorite weapon, whether her actual one was close at hand or not.
Small Ability: Once a month, she is now capable of causing a bright light to flare directly in front of her face for a full five seconds. It is bright enough to cause all within five feet of her to be blinded for ten seconds while their eyes readjust. She is unaffected.
Small Ability: Once a week, she is now able to hiss loudly enough to cause Cards ranked 5 and lower to either clasp their hands over their ears or faint. the sound is equally so frightening and so high pitched that many feel slight pain from it.
Small Ability: Once a week, she is now able to gingerly prick the edge of her tongue. The wound will seal over in a minute and for a full hour her breath will smell of apples.
Small Ability: Once a week, she is able to cause a small wind to start up around her. It causes her fur and clothing to move as though a stronger wind were blowing. This wind lasts for a full minute and is pleasantly warm. If she is in an unpleasant climate, this wind will surround her an become her own personal climate for the minute.
Small Ability: Once a week she is now able to cause water that is a foot deep or less to boil gently. Enough to burn a bit, but not much and it will cook anything she likes in under an hour.
Small Ability: Once a week, she is now able to cause plants she walks on to wilt and shrivel for a full ten feet. Not very dangerous, but certainly intimidating.
Queen: Queens are of the highest rank available and have nearly everything they could dream of, with more power than any others in their Suit. There can be more than one Queen to a Court, but there is only one The Queen, who is the current presiding ruler. The Queen does not have quite as much work to do, as the responsibility can be shoved off onto the other Queens beneath them, though many like to supply a "personal" touch to the goings-on. A Queen has power, wealth, and the pick of the litter as far as mates are concerned. As with Kings and Jacks, "Queen" is simply the title of the office, and males as well as females can occupy the post. Queens are a bit more paranoid than the rest of the Court, however, due to there only being a limited number of Queens allowed to rule at one time. Murder is certainly a recognized method of moving up in rank.
Torquehelm: Residents are usually black with purple highlights and/or socks, white wing-like markings on their backs, and purple eyes.
Torquehelm is a rather dark place. Due to it's placement near the Tulgey Wood, there isn't much sunlight or moonlight. An odd aura surrounds the place, and many feel a sense of depression upon entering. The members of Torquehelm are known for their odd habit of binding. They are said to do so because they hope it will lift the curse upon their land. Each resident of the realm is bound in some way, shape, or form, the most popular being chains or blindfolds. They tend to be intelligent and quick, but difficult to deal with because of the downtrodden mood, though they are still widely accepted in Courts and are sometimes made confidants of those in power. The land of Torquehelm does not produce much in the way of items to trade, though there are rich deposits of precious metals and iron
Felines: Felines are a common breed. They are found everywhere you look and their lifestyles make it easy for them to stretch themselves to the furthest reaches of the kingdoms. Not to be confused with the Court of Cats (who are the size of a house cat), the Felines of the realm are about the size of tigers and range from sleek Siamese to bulky alley cats in shape.
Heart: The Claw
Hearts are a bit rarer in society, and are also the most revered. For parents to receive a Heart as a child is a blessing and a delight, as the child will probably bring them power that they do not have. The ferocity and short temper of the Suit is legendary, but not necessarily true for all in the Suit. Hearts have a tendency towards recklessness and wildness in their actions, though their ability to muster power at the snap of their fingers is most assuredly true and remarkable. It serves them well as the most feared and respected of the Suits.
The symbol of the Hearts, the Claw, is most fitting, as there is nothing more brutal than to be hit in the face with something sharp; be it their wit, their magic, or their fist, the experience won't be pleasant. Hearts tend to delight in the fact that they are represented as ruthless and unkind. Some of them feel that power cannot truly be gained with kindness, though others resent the fact that their friendships are all superficial and that their lovers are all two-faced. They may attempt to make themselves seem different.
