Parzifal's eyes flicked back and forth briefly between the General and the girl before settling on Lythero. "I believe I was trying to engage you in conversation, sir," he said mildly. He only realized a breath after he said it that the words might be taken in a mocking context, which certainly had not been his intent. He hastily continued in an attempt to cover any sort of slight. "First through some of the changes that have taken place in the realm and then through the family of the... body that you now inhabit."
Was that offensive? He honestly didn't know. How did one address the fact that someone now inhabited a body that did not used to be theirs. It probably would have been best to leave the subject alone in the first place. Damn.
But he wanted to know more about the General so, so badly. His research demanded it. He could not be true to his previous life's work if he didn't take advantage of this opportunity. He just hoped the child would be quietly unobtrusive.

Josephine slowly backed towards the door and silently took a seat. She drooped pathetically and kept her eyes on the floor.
Lythero's eyes narrowed as the human spoke. He sipped his freshly poured tea in silence. He didn't like that tone.
And then the sudden jump of conversation. He froze with his tea cup poised, his eyes narrowed to slits. A growl slowly bubbled up as he set his tea down. "The body I inhabit? What is that supposed to mean?"
The wolf hybrid slowly stood up and closed the gap between him and the bird. A wicked smile crept onto his face as he leaned forward, a taloned claw hovering under the man's chin. "I haven't decided if I like you yet, so choose your words carefully. What do you know of my return? Tell me everything you know, or I might just have to punish you for wasting my time."
On this close inspection he was pretty for a man. Humans always were strangely fascinating. Perhaps he could be useful? It all depended on what he knew and what he didn't know. It might not be safe to let him live, or it might just be fun to kill him for being a mix.

A threat if he'd ever heard one. The wolf's expression and posture caused a chill to travel down Parzifal's spine and he tried very hard to keep from panicking. There was no backpedaling in a conversation like this.
"I truly hope that I have not wasted your time, sir. Details of your return are very scarce in the world outside the Wood." He manuevered delicately. What to say, what to admit? What would anger and what would amuse? He wasn't the best at word games. Something in him was dearly glad that he possessed the Diamond charm, but that could only carry him so far against an angered sociopath.
After a few breaths, he continued. "I hadn't even been certain whether or not some magical influence had brought the real General Lythero back into the world. The information I gathered had not been clear whether they were simply someone claiming the General's name and reputation to further their own separate cause. Such things have been attempted before. Your legends following the war were quite... prolific. There are many aspects of your successes that someone might have wished to capitalize on. The tone of the rumors seemed different this time, however. Far more serious. I came to speak to Vren in hopes that he might guide me in your direction, if the rumors were to be believed."
Was he going in circles? Suits, he hoped not...

Lythero's eyes were still narrowed with his fur standing on end as he continued to stare at the man while he was explaining himself. The Tulgey was debating on ending the man's miserable life now or later. His ears were flat against his skull as the man seemed to rant.
It was a bit amusing. Maybe he wouldn't be a waste of time?
"Pitiful," He said as he returned to his seat, his fur flattening, though his ears were still pressed against his skull in displeasure as he eyed the human. "Certainly you know I was skinned alive by those wretched Queens? It didn't even occur to you that my skin was cursed?"
His eyes wandered over to the girl who seemed to be doing her best to press herself into the ground. At least the little girl knew where she stood when it came to pure Tulgey's. A brief smile crossed his face before he looked at the human. "What else do you know about the War and the results.... since you claim to be a scholar."
Josephine was doing her hardest not to draw attention to herself. The conversation wasn't going smoothly... maybe she could help the poor pretty man if things got awful?
