What a weird dream, like a snowstorm of some sort and she couldn't get away. Laika woke up sneezing, her eyes watering with her first conscious breath and her skin itching and cold. What a bizarre combination. Why wasn't her fur...?
Oh. Oh, wait. WHAT. Her skin?! Was cold?! That didn't happen! She was a SOLANDRIAN. Cold wasn't a word in her growing vocabulary! Except that it was, because she could say it and knew exactly what it meant and sometimes her nose or toes felt a little chill. But not her entire body. Ohhh, what was going on?!
She squinted her watering eyes shut tightly, and then opened them wide. She was about to rub her face on an extended foreleg when she realized that one, it was bald, and two, it was covered in stuff. Powdery stuff. Like the snow.
Like the stuff in the bottle on the bookshelf that wasn't emptied all the way from the old King.
No. No! This must have been what the grown-ups were talking about when they discussed the dangers of this room! This was awful. She jumped up, shivered and shook herself, and then bolted with a howl.

These little challenge-thingers are meant to be short, mindless (unless a muse strikes you hard), and very mildly exploratory. Also amusing. Lawl, Solandrian hair-loss. What is the world coming to?

Because Bee was stupid and forgot to comment ages ago, you get a comment now! And it is that I am highly amused by this. XD Especially in light of the thread we have going with Laika. I love how kids are like NOT AS PLANNED D8 WHY DID I DO THIS TERRIBLE IDEA and then ten seconds later it's OH WHAT'S THIS I SHOULD COVER MYSELF IN IT/EAT IT. Keep going back to the room, Laika. It has all the answers. *noms on Laika*
