Ophelia was in a rage. Seki had never really been 'right' in the head. Starting young with his eating disorder and then moving on to bigger and better problems. Getting lost in The Wood was the final straw, he stopped talking as much and started hanging out with that blasted man... and then he'd left all together. It all happened so fast and Ophelia had absolutely no control over the decline of her baby boy... over most of the children that she had brought into this world, really, but Seki was the last of her children that still seemed to need her. Time after time she'd come to lunch with the boy and found him battered and hung over, but never before had she discovered him in the process of being abused... That was her breaking point and his refusal to do anything to protect himself was exactly why she was here. Regardless of Seki's protests, the boy needed help and -- if everything she'd been hearing was correct -- this Dr. Rosewood would be the one to help. Stepping into the office, Ophelia glanced behind her to the bruised up feline and his bander companion. Hopefully the Psyche would be willing to allow the silly 'mother bear' in for the session.

Seki sulked quietly after his infuriated father, head down and fingers lacing and unlacing with nerves. He'd never officially been to a Psychiatrist... A few doctors, a few Corvies who specialized in eating and metabolism, things like that... but never a head doctor. A Psychiatrist meant that he might be insane, that he was really fucked up. But here he was, being pulled along by the ever in control Ophelia who could no longer stand to see him where he was anymore. Seki hadn't minded... He hadn't really been aware anything was wrong, 'cept for the black outs he had every now and then... or the times when those horrible canines caught him off guard... It wasn't anything, nothing at all... Just like he wasn't as skinny as everyone kept thinking he was. It was them, not him. Right? When they were finally inside the office, Seki picked up Mocha and sunk into a chair where he could awkwardly coil to keep his bindings from puncturing the chair and cling to the bright-eyed Bander at the same time. He didn't want to talk to a stranger, he just wanted to curl up in bed and disappear again...

Business was normally slow. He had a few high profile patience every now and then, but most of the time it was quiet. Today, however, was different. Not too long ago he had gotten a letter from the Corvistowneian Ophelia. He had heard the name once or twice and from his understanding she was famous. And apparently she needed an emergency appointment with her son. Rosewood couldn't help but wonder what could possibly be wrong. She had sent him no indication of why, just that she absolutely needed an appointment. Of course he would never refuse, especially if someone was in such distress. He walked out to the waiting room, his assistant had requested the day off, so it was only him. Thankfully his other appointment had canceled, which allowed for such a light day with no conflicting schedules. When the door opened, the swan and been putting away several files. He glanced up, spotting the deer and her son trailing behind her. He looked to be rather... emaciated to put it bluntly. "You must be Miss Ophelia," Rosewood said cordially and as cheerfully as possible. "And you must be Seki?" He didn't change his tone, his gaze just flickered as he attempted to make eye contact with the boy briefly, before going back to looking at Ophelia. "I'm Rosewood, your letter sounded particularly urgent... how can I be of assistance to you?"

Ophelia was partially surprised to be meeting with a Tulgey Swan. Tulgey wasn't a region she encountered often, but he was a handsome creature with very... trustworthy eyes. The doe smiled warmly, hiding the hint of frustration and troubled anxiety laying beneath the surface of her eyes.
"Yes, that would be me... It's a pleasure to meet you, Dr. Rosewood." The doe extended a hand, her gaze dipping absently toward the unresponsive feline in his chair. Oi... "If you have a few moments to speak with me before your session with Seki, then I can explain everything... as I know it, at least."
This drew a bit of a look from Seki, but it was brief and overall unresponsive. Ophelia sighed before glancing back up to Rosewood, expression vaguely hopeful. If this man couldn't help Seki then she simply didn't know what to do. She was out of options and Seki seemed so very close to being completely lost... He wasn't even the same boy she'd known only a few months ago. Degrading rapidly with each 'disappearance'.

Even though the Swan had occupied the room when Seki came in, he didn't look at him or acknowledge him for a second, he just collapsed into his chair and immediately attempted to tune everyone out. He just wanted to sleep, hide... something. Nervously his fingers ran through Mocha's fur and he nuzzled against the bander. She rumbled happily and nuzzled back, but never took her eyes off the new person. New People could be Dangerous, especially when her boy was acting like this.
When Rosewood spoke, Seki clenched up even tighter even those his ears absently swiveled in the direction of the person speaking to him. If he didn't look at Rosewood, he could pretend he didn't exist. Rosewood and Ophelia spoke for a bit, and then Ophelia asked to speak to him alone and Seki frowned to himself. She was going to tell Rosewood how 'messed up' he was and Rosewood would sit around and stare at him with those same disapproving eyes that everyone turned on him.
The feline kept his head down and his eyes focused on Mocha.

Rosewood was slightly disappointed by the lack of acknowledgment fro Seki. This was going to be a difficult matter to handle, he was sure of it.
The swan shook Ophelia's hand briefly and firmly. Smile still on his beak. "Please, just call me Rosewood. And of course, please just follow me into my office."
He motioned towards the proper door before moving forward to open it. He allowed Ophelia to walk before him so he could properly shut the door once they were inside. It had sound proofing, and he made sure to use it in cases like this.
The swan couldn't assume anything. This was a brand new client, and a brand new case. From all of the anxious movements Ophelia had this had been building up for quite sometime. Or at least it had recently exploded. He curiously awaited the explanation, not before asking her to take her time so she got everything.

Ophelia liked Rosewood already. He had that sort of familiarity that was good with people you were supposed to be 'opening up' to and mixed it well with a proper and polite aura. She was glad she had brought Seki here... if only she could get the kitten to speak to the man, or even look at him.
"This has been... gaining momentum, I suppose you could call it, for a long time now. He was bullied a lot as a child due to being unusually skinny and he just never put on weight. I have a feeling it had something to do with the tightness of his binding..." There was a flicker of frustration in her eyes, though she never felt it all too strongly. It was part of that horrible binding and, while Ophelia respected tradition and the mindset of the Torque, she could stand the sort of mark it had left on her littlest kitten. "His older brother was the bulky sort, very muscular... Very jock. I tried to keep them from fighting, but it would get out of hand behind my back." Ophelia sighed. "Boys will be boys, and the bigger ones will always pick on the smaller ones, I suppose. The last time it happened they were in Torque, from what I've gotten out of them, ...and Seki stumbled into The Wood."
Ophelia's expression darkened considerably. This swan was a Tulgey, undeniably... So that might cause some problems but by all that was good in the world she hoped it wouldn't.
"I don't know what happened to him, he gained a little weight... I have no clue how, and wound up in Avington. The weight started dropping again as soon as he was home, he stopped talking as much, and started disappearing. It wasn't long before he just up and moved to the Capital... and things just seem to be getting worse. He's getting even skinnier than he used to, I think he's picked up some less than favorable habits... and I don't even want to start thinking about what crowd he's a part of at the moment." Ophelia's hands wrung together. "I should have tried to do something earlier, I know... but I always thought he'd rebound from whatever happened out there... and now, now I'm a little afraid that I waited too long and that my boy's starting to slip off the deep end to a place where no one can really reach him."
She wasn't afraid of Seki going insane, as much as Seki giving up on life. Both were bad, but just letting her boy die was a horrible sin. She'd do everything in her power to protect him before even thinking of letting something like that happen.

Seki listened to their footsteps as they left the room, the click of Ophelia's hooves and the soft thump of the Swan's webbed feat. Odd contrasts that almost had the feline's ears perked with curiosity, but they stayed down until long after he heard the door close.
It was only then that he slowly uncoiled, looking quietly around the room.
The waiting room was nice, quiet, and primarily empty. Father had told him a great deal about how good this doctor was and the room really did say a lot about that. It was cleaner than most places he slept lately... Which wasn't hard to accomplish, really.
Slowly he set Mocha down and eased out of the chair, peeking around a bit. A small nagging though encouraged him to run, to get out while they were both distracted but at the same time he was bound to his father. He couldn't run out on Ophelia... A bit of shuffling around the room in uncertainty lead him back to the chair. He'd give this guy a chance.
"I don't want to be here, Mocha..." He murmured, his voice momentarily breaking the unbearable silence of the empty waiting room.
He really wished someone would just come back out...

His expression was unreadable for most of the explanation. His eyes did, however, widen when she mentioned the Wood. He may have come from there... but he knew how horrible it was. And somehow the boy had made it out alive to end up in Avington? That sounded a little strange. There must have been quite a bit to that story that he wasn't willing to share.
And it didn't seem the boy was willing to share much of anything.
"I'll see what I can do, Miss Ophelia. I can't force him to open up... it's mostly in his hands. But you did the right thing by coming here." He gave her a smile of encouragement.
There was a bit of silence before Rosewood spoke again. This time his voice was filled with bubbling confidence. He had a battle plan, so to speak."All right, you should go out there first. That way if he decided to take a look around I won't frighten him. I can't imagine he had a good experience in the Wood."
He opened the door for Ophelia, and waited briefly before exiting after her.

Ophelia nodded quietly tail flicking absently.
Hopefully Seki would open up more to a stranger than he would to his parents, it happened all the time... "I'm sure you'll get through to him better than I've been able to." The serpentine doe lifted out of her seat, smiling weakly. "He used to be a happy boy, regardless of his eating disorder, I'd just like to see him get a little joy back in his life."
And not find him dead in a gutter... Please let her never have to bury her own child.
When Rosewood spoke up again, Ophelia found herself smiling with a bit more confidence. The swan knew what he was doing, he'd take care of her little Seki. "From what I've seen, I'm afraid you'll probably be right. Thank you Rosewood." The doe slipped out of the room once the door was opened, making her way over to the chair where Seki had returned to. Mocha was now on the floor which meant he'd probably gotten up, but at least he'd stayed.
"Are you ready to speak with Dr. Rosewood?"
