Sadly she didn't make it to finals. It turns out they had so many people enter that they took over a month to get all the video/vote pages up on the site by doing some each day, but they closed all voting at the same time. (My friend got added Oct 28, and voting started in early September and ended November 14).
Needless to say, the people who got added in the beginning of September were the ones to go to finals for the most part! It seems like a silly way to do a contest, but eh, I guess such is life.

That doesn't seem very fair, but then again I guess "life isn't fair". Hopefully she'll get another chance to do something she'll love soon. *crosses fingers*
