For all kinds of things, depending on your state to a certain degree. Here, State Govenor is probably the biggest deal, plus the question of lowering the sales tax (they raised it last year), changing the tax on alcohol and a few more.

I'm in CA (Bay Area) and we have a crap-ton of items on the ballot.
In my county alone we have over a dozen separate measures for the vote, Board of Supervisors, seat on the Superior Court, College Board members, transit directors and more.
Statewide, the Governor's seat is up for grabs, not to mention most of the big game seats (treasurer, etc), a Senate and Rep seat and more. Plus there's the 9 Propositions to vote on, the most controversial probably being Prop 19.
Yeah... there's a lot at stake, so I'm heading to the polls right after work. woo woo!

Lucca: Haha, yeah, 9 props and 15 measures on top of everything else. That's how we roll.
Satra: Truth be told, there was a section I left blank because I hadn't done enough research to feel comfortable enough voting, sooooo, yeah. But it was one section of 5 double-sided ballot sheets!!!
I voted just a half hour ago! XD
