Heike watched as the weapon actually hit its mark. The Joker fell to the ground with a heavy thump. The rabbit frowned when he realized that he had lost his only weapon, taking to grab the nearest candelabra instead. It would have to do, he couldn't go at the thing with his bare hands and he didn't have time to think of anything else properly. He had to get answer, and he had to force this thing to stay still. It was all ready knocked out, he just needed to pin it.
Hopefully he could pin the monster down and get it to talk. He went to run (9), but didn't make it in time to pin the prone form down. In his surprise he dropped his new found makeshift weapon (6) and went to kick the wolf in the face with all his might in a pure reflexive action (11).

Colin was still struggling to free his fangs of the floor when Zach, who was now a huge, hulking something-he-could-only-sort-of-see, grabbed him bodily up like he was nothing (5). He struggled and tried to lash out at the man with his fangs (7), but the way he was being held combined with the strangeness of the form meant all he managed to do was flail around like a fool. He pulled his head in to at least shield himself from the blow he knew was coming as he could see the wall rushing right for them, when the creature holding him seemed to snort and stumble, still moving closer to the stone wall. Colin made one final attempt to get away before impact (9) but didn't manage to wriggle out of his grasp.
Luckily, the disorientation meant that Zach's head took most of the blow, but Colin still felt his side collide painfully with the wall. In the next mom`ent, Heike and Joel were both -there-, suddenly, grabbing and threatening, and Colin took the chance to make his escape at long last. He slithered away a bit, hoping desperately he'd change back soon, when a -horrible- noise rang out, making his ears ring. He hissed in pain but couldn't hear it...
He could still see, though, and his tongue flicked out on impulse to taste the air. There was Zach, having fallen to the ground again, and Heike was rushing him. Colin wasted no time in rushing toward the creature, fangs bared again, and would attempt to sink them right into Zach's shoulder (15). He jolted back as he could feel his form suddenly tingling all over, and realizing with relief that he was changing back.
Unfortunately, his foe was also recovering, changing into a Wolf again.

Dania nodded emphatically to Nadja, more or less too worked up to form a full sentence. ”Thanks.” She managed to croak tearfully as the rabbit set to work. Dania placed the rag gently in Faust's mouth, then held his hand tightly while he was being stitched up. She could only imagine how painful this must be. And yet, he kept apologizing over and over. And she was... pretty? In a less hectic situation she would have been quite taken aback by that. As it was, she still blushed. It was sweet, even if he was probably delusional. She murmured any number of only-partially-coherent phrases of consolation to him until he slumped over, out cold and cradled in her arms.
The rat uttered a cry of distress before she realized that he was only unconcious, and this was probably better for him in the long run, anyway. She scooted around until she was half-shielding him with her body. ”Nadja... Thank you. I-- we owe you.”
Joel had intended only to scare Zacharias, so when his knife made a deep cut into the man's gut he actually recoiled in horror. Cutting into a card's living flesh was nothing at all like bashing already-deceased queens or dissecting insects. He didn't like this at all. He stared at the blood coated knife and abruptly felt rather ill. He hadn't meant to do that!
He was about to say so, but in the flurry of attacks, form change, utter bloody chaos, his words were lost. Apologizing to someone who was trying to kill you was probably irrelevant, anyhow. With a rather shell-shocked expression, Joel backed up to the wall, looking up at the monstrous bat in horror. He still clutched the knife, although now the paw that held it trembled.

((the Joker gave a loud startled cry as fangs hit his shoulder and sank in deeply (5). The Rabbit pinned him and then skidded. Falling to the side, barely able to stay upright as he tried to look at the wound to evaluate it, he was completely unprepared for the kick. (2) There was a horrible crack as the Wolf's muzzle snapped.
Gasping as blood pooled from his broken face, Zacharias wriggled in agony. Something in his eyes seemed to snap. Flinging himself upright (18!) he threw himself at the Rabbit and Queen in a complete and utter murderous rage. All chances for talk and reason were gone. He meant them death with claws and heavy blows. (13 for Heike, 11 for Colin).))

Heike was surprised when his foot made contact with the wolf's face and snapped his muzzle with a satisfying crunch. He went to step back as the blood pooled from his mouth, the Joker was clearly in agony.
And then he got up with the intent to kill. The Rabbit was hardly prepared for the claws as they made contact with his chest, cutting deeply and knocking the wind clear out of him (3 ;_; fail Heike). The rabbit's scream of dismay caught in his throat. He tried to deliver one more swift kick to try and stop the Wolf from tearing him limb from limb (14).
He couldn't lose. His sister needed to be safe. He needed to get back to his Warren and he needed to see his Does again. They were waiting. Nadja was still in harms way.
He hit the marble floor with a terrible thud. Trying to shield himself from anything else that was coming his way (18).
(( OOC: I have no idea what to do about Ez... ))

((Zach's grin of delight was broken and full of blood as he felt his claws connect. He pulled the flesh sharply away from the Rabbit, grinning through the pain and rage. The second kick aught him hard enough to knock him flat on his back (5), sliding across the floor as he howled.
A sudden swirl of smoke began to build up feet away from Dania and her little group. The corpse Queen stopped her keening in the face of such distraction as a small group of people stumbled out into the hall from the smoke. A Jack Rabbit led them, jumping into the room with a bound and crying. "I'm back, Zach!" Crazed delight evident on his face.))

Colin could have cheered about the fact that's he'd hit home with his fangs this time, except that there so clearly wasn't time. He backed up, wings spread, and tried to avoid the strike when the Wolf came up swinging. Unfortunately (10), he still wasn't able to avoid the vicious blow, and cried out in pain as claws scraped a line of bleeding gashes right down his side. He stumbled, dizzy from the unexpected attack and from the unexpected awkwardness of being a Cardinal again, and backed up a few paces. Sadly, he tripped over something (5) and fell backwards to the ground, not having put near as much distance between himself and Zach as he'd wanted to. But a piercing screech rent the air... As Arpeggio lunged at the Wolf. He danced just out of reach of those nasty claws, instead throwing his ability at the man. It was all he had, and he was going to use it! Colin let out a worried cry. He'd already nearly lost his Tove earlier. " Be careful!" he cried worriedly, and tried to kick out at Zach with his claws, not caring what part of him he hit. But he was a bit too far away to reach (5). Notes: Once a week, this Tove is able to cause an incredible and horrible amount of fur to sprout from an opponent's tongue! This will prevent them from being able to speak until it all sheds off in an hour and during this time, their mouth will be incredibly hot, dry, and itchy.Shelby stared around in fear as he was suddenly enveloped in smoke, and emerged onto a whole new scene of nightmares. The battle here looked even more horrible than whatever he'd stumbled into last time, and he shook with fear, eyes wide. More Cards, more Cards -everywhere!- He held his dagger in shaking claws and moved closer to Maeve. She was the only other thing that made any sense!

"Uh... " Joel had been gathering up his courage to actually help in the fight against Zacharias, and was just about to dive into the fray knife-first when Heike's mighty kick cracked the wolf's jaw. Even a meat cleaver seemed a little redundant now, and it lowered seemingly of it's own will back to Joel's side. "I think... that did it. You can... you can probably stop now." He said, looking even greener than usual.
But as it turned out, Zacharias wasn't done. He tore dreadfully at the rabbit once more, then was kicked, sliding across the floor and close to Joel. Okay, this was it. Moment of truth. The poor young Corvie felt a little shamed, but he hadn't the stomach to take the Wolf's head off with the cleaver. Instead, he smashed it downward handle first towards Zacharias's temple, hoping fervently that he might knock the joker out without killing him outright.
"Ohhhhh Gods, nonono..." Dania stopped stroking Faust's ears and panicking and started staring at the whirlwind and panicking. That could not be good! She would have backed away from it if she could have dragged Faust with her, but as the Biped outweighed her by a considerable margin, all she was able to do was curl herself more tightly around his limp form and wait for something else horrible to happen.
Which, surprisingly enough, it didn't.
What did happen was quite wierd, but after the day they'd been having, the sight of some more-or-less normal cards and rabbits who seemed to have no interest in immediately attacking was actually quite comforting.

The sparrow was in no way prepared to be grabbed by Argo and suddenly be teleported in smoke, of all things.
He let out a surprised chirp when they arrived, his feathers flaring as he tried to gather his bearings. Argo was thrilled at least. He felt when he saw what was happening. There was another monster Rabbit on the floor clutching his chest.
The wolf was obviously being attacked by a bird.
And there were quite a few people here. Son of a bitch. This was not going to be good. The sparrow took several deep breaths as tried to focus himself. Fighting. Why was there always fighting?
--
His kick hit. Wonderful. The rabbit clutched his chest as he struggled to breath. Then there was a voice. He snapped around to see a group of Cards and... rabbits.
A Jack that seemed delighted to see someone in the room. Who? Was it the person who... they were attacking...?
Oh by the White Rabbit why?
---
Horatio cursed. No one was going to listen to him huh? He nudged the Rat. "We're getting out of here now, Ma'am. Help me put Faust on the damn curtain so I can drag his ass out of the way."

Wulfram was reluctant to part with Devi but under Malachior's protection and the promise they'd begin the journey back to Spades, he accepted. Now he was swirling into existence in his own palace, greeted by the furious chattering of his mome as it leaped to its master's shoulder. Wulfram chuckled, stroking the creature with affection as the remainder of his high faded and... suddenly they were in a horrendous battle against Zach in a puddle of horrible gore.
Well! It seemed their original goal was being pursued by this group and they'd done all the dirty work for them!
Lucius would be pleased, if Wulfram actually gave a damn. Wulfram himself was more concerned by the fact that there were more Rabbits here. How the hell had he managed to continue stumbling into these beasts? Ultimately it didn't matter. He turned to Zach and, with a dark smile, executed his King's ability.
Why not, the man was already getting his tail handed to him?
King's Ability: (At Zach) Once a week, he is now able to cause an opponent to see the world upside-down for a full minute. They will be incapable of reversing it without some strong magical abilities directed toward doing so. This often confuses the opponent and throws them off balance while they attempt to get used to the strange development.
Nadja gasped as Faust fainted suddenly. Oh! She hadn't been able to help at all. "You're welcome... but..." She whined fainted before letting out a grateful sigh when Horatio began trying to get the man out of the way. "G-Good idea, Horatio."
Trying desperately to ignore the fighting behind her, she focused intently on getting the man onto the curtain... Until she heard her brother scream. Everything stopped and she swung around.
"HEIKE!" She tried to spring forward but ultimately slammed into the strange pale avian that had suddenly appeared before her. "By the white rabbit!" She yelped, only to find herself among more rabbits. Oh! Wonderful... and, Nadja let out a strangled sound. "S-Shelby?!" What had happened to him!
