After a moment of fear, Shelby realized that he and Maeve weren't the only Rabbits in the room. There were two more, a Jack that was clutching his chest and a small Leveret who had tumbled right in front of him. It took his a half beat longer to realize, with a horrible sort of clarity, that he -recognized- them both. He let out a strangled, squeaking sound, and he fumbled his dagger and nearly dropped it. He nodded helplessly to Nadja, but turned to look at...
"FATHER?" he blurted loudly before his brain told his tongue it wasn't a good idea. "What are you doing here, sir?" Oh no, oh no, what would Heike think of his ghastly appearance? Oh by the White Rabbit, why was he such a fool? But never mind that, he was so glad to see that he was okay...with everything crazy that was going on, he'd had to keep telling himself that it wasn't going to spread to his own Warren, while worrying that it would. But it hadn't...or maybe it had, and that was why Heike was among Cards?

((Joel's strike was incredibly effective, timed perfectly with Zaharias's jerk to avoid Colin's kick, and doubling up as the Rabbit caught him again, the handle of the cleaver smashed right in through the Wolf's eye. There was a strangled squealing noise as he flung himself backward and screamed!
Argo gave a loud, desperate cry of horror and rushed forward, his jack Rabbit's form twitching in terror as he shook and stumbled around. "What do I do, Zach!? Just tell me what to do!" He wailed, claws raised in defense and utterly terrified looking, out of his mind as the Wolf on the floor frothed and writhed, beyond speaking. The handle of the butcher knife had hit his brain.))

"O-okay." Dania staggered to her feet and did her level best to get Faust onto the brocade curtain. Luckily his bird heritage made his weight a little more managable than it might have been otherwise... With the penguin's help she'd heave Faust onto the fabric and haul it out of the range of battle and insanity.
Having taken his best shot, Joel was standing wide-eyed and trembling rather badly over Zacharias. Had that worked? Worked a little too well? Had he killed someone?!? He simply didn't dare to look down and see. He couldn't. This was all just too much after a long day. He stood, he stared, he watched rabbits parade by and talk, he generally felt he might have taken a couple of Dr. Iso's pills with his Tea by mistake.

The sparrow watched in horror as a butcher knife was lodged into the Wolf. Oh suits.
He let out another alarmed chirp and hurried after Argo. "No no! Argo, don't!" The sparrow grabbed for his wrist (18), "Zach's not--don't touch him you'll make it worse. Let these people handle it."
---
Heike froze when the word father was screamed. He struggled to catch his breath, and stood (15) staring at the person who had screamed. And his sister. She... she was all right thought.
"Shelby?" he asked, completely confused and feeling terribly ill.
Who was this crazy Jack and what was going on. "Would... what... your sister is dead." He finally said as he stumbled to the wall watching lamely as the Wolf was clearly dying.
He'd have to thank the Cat once things were settled.

Horatio was happy when things started working smoothly. At least they were getting out of the way.

(( The Wolf gave a gasping shudder, body convulsing as the Rabbit standing over him cried his name endlessly. With a sudden snapping noise, it changed again.
It made no further sound, but crouched over the Wolf, petting the shaking head and seeming to ignore the random, disturbing bites the other Joker automatically took at his hand. Zacharias convulsed for a further minute, before his brain fully hemorrhaged, and he died; remaining eye rolling up in his head and tongue lolling out of his mouth.
The creature, Argo, stood, looming to his full height as he stared down at the body. Slowly, he glanced around at everyone else left in the room. Then, back down at the body. Gently, the overlong arms reached out and pulled the body up and into them, supporting more weight than it seemed logical that they could lift. A small wisp of black smoke appeared, and then more of it. In a few moments, both had vanished, leaving behind nothing but the quietly fading sound of violins.))~Nathalia
