Castiel let out a surprised gasp as the water spilled onto her. She shuddered and pealed her soaking wet hair from her face. She grabbed for her sword preparing herself to draw it when someone showed themselves. She turned in the direction of Arkady.
Conall had been looking through the binoculars when the water came cascading down. His bird had given him the brief warning before he was soaked, so he was at least able to save himself from getting his hair in his face. The water rolled off of his fur in some places, and he looked more awkward than her normally did. Quickly he slipped the binoculars around his neck and prepared himself for something to fall from above.
Lythero didn't like to disappoint. In his animal form he jumped from the tree. It wasn't too far of a jump at this point, and he still had the element of surprise as he landed behind the Yarrow girl. He lashed out with a swipe of his talons, tearing through the flimsy fabric.
Castiel let out a yelp at the pain. She had heard the landing but didn't have time to react. The claws had grazed her back, though the pain felt far worse.

Arkady was fully focused. He was sure that their enemy wouldn't get the jump on them. Of course, it was an easy mistake to make when the boy had never been in a serious fight in his life. He heard a thump from behind them, and only barely had time to turn around before Cas let out a yelp of pain as blood spattered from her back. Arkady let out a howl of challenge at the white monster that had appeared, and activated his King's ability on the Tulgey.
Arkady had no rational thought left in his head. He saw only red. That bastard had hurt his friend. He was going to pay. Arkady lunged for the creature, teeth bared and chest rumbling with an even louder growl. He would try to bite whatever part of Lythero he could, trusting the element of surprise and his thick fur to protect him against any counter attacks. He must have truly looked a sight as he flew at Lythero, sopping wet fur hanging down oddly as he lunged.
Too bad for the pup the Tulgey had definitely seen far scarier.
King’s Ability: Once a week, he is able to cause an opponent’s canines to grow to huge proportions, often ripping their lips slightly in the process and disallowing them speech for a full half hour until the protrusions disappear. During this time, vision is more difficult and there will be pain, heaviness to the head and neck, and drooling.

Castiel fell to her knees, grasping at her back. Oh Suits. That hurt. She tried to draw her sword, but the movement only made things more painful. She prayed that they wouldn't attack again. Looking through watery eyes she faintly saw the Solandrian.
Conall snapped into action. He grabbed the nearest thing, which happened to be a thick tree branch, and went into action. He didn't have many useful spells has finger tips beyond the ability to use any weapon in moderation. And in reality anything could be a proper weapon. He charged at the Tulgey, hoping that he would be unable to defend himself from more than one angle.
The Tulgey was unamused as suddenly grew fangs. He let out a growl as he stumbled backwards, his head hanging down from the weight of the teeth. His sight was fuzzy, and he was outnumbered. Of course he had managed to hit the Yarrow at the very least.
It was now time to disappear, to a degree, he wasn't going to let children get the best of him. He activated a small ability, so when the coyote made contact with him he would receive a bit of a shock (the down side being that Lythero would receive one too.) It would be enough time for him to activate his body double so he could escape mostly unharmed, tough Arkady did land a nice blow and Conall drew a bit of blood when he swung to hit the Queen of Spades.
Powerful Magical Ability: (When activated, he can call forth and dismiss a small familiar that is unique to the individual.) When he tries to use the spell a large static shock will shoot through his body and anyone touching him.
Queen's Ability: When he sincerely doesn't wish to be bothered by someone, he can 'step out' of himself, becoming invisible until he arrives somewhere safe, at which point he becomes visible once again. He leaves an illusion of himself behind to finish whatever action he had been engaged in, be it talking, fighting, or anything else. he can do this once per month.

Arkady growled, mouth turning in a savage snarl of triumph as he managed to hit the Tulgey monster. Of course, only seconds after that he let out a little yelp as he was given a shock. It wasn't extremely painful, though it left his body tingling and his fur suddenly dry and sticking up all over the place, but it did force him back for a moment. Of course, as soon as he could move again, he launched himself at what he thought was still Lythero with a snarl.
Not knowing that it wasn't really him anymore, he tried to tear into the double with his teeth, shaking his head to worry whatever wound he might manage to make. He was going to make this guy pay dearly for what he had done. Tulgies were mean, Ark decided, if this was how they treated a few children who were just coming to see what the Wood was like! Of course, later, when he was more rational, Arkady would realize that not all Tulgies were like that nut. Though from the stories he had heard before, a lot of them really were that bad. Then again, Solandrians weren't always very hospitable either, though they'd usually let the harsh environment of their homeland take care of any problems.

The double snarled as the Solandrian boy lashed out. It's snapped it's mouth, only only proving to aggravate the current condition, drawing blood. The boy's teeth would sink into the double's "flesh."
Conall whipped the stick around to stab the vision while Arkady was attacking him. He hoped that this combination of attacks would at least fend off the Tulgey Queen. Suits, he wished he could use his pain ability on other suits besides Clubs. It was such a useful ability and it went to waste on an inferior suit. Of course now wasn't the time to think about that.
The Yarrow girl was choking back her tears, and forcing herself to stand. She looked over her shoulder, the boys were doing a good job of fending off the monster that had attacked her. Through watery eyes she couldn't quite see the rank. And right now if she tried to help she would probably be more of a burden than anything else.
In the mean time Lythero was carefully scaling a tree. It was taking far more effort than it usually did, but he was damn determined. He scaled the tree in a matter of minutes, and as soon as he made it to safety his double vanished into thin air.
And just to be spiteful he reached down and used his "useless" Jack ability to crack a branch and send it cascading to the ground, narrowly missing the Yarrow girl who let out a surprised yelp.
Jack's Ability: He can break objects made of wood or porcelain by shattering and splintering the material in sharp cracks up to three times per day.

Arkady held on viciously, shaking his head to worry the wound and make it bleed more. It was strangely satisfying to be getting the better of this opponent. He should have thought it a little strange that the Tulgey wasn't retaliating as much...but he was too angry to think logically. He could still see nothing but red, and taste nothing but blood. So it was all the more surprising when the seemingly solid Card just...vanished, and Arkady fell ungracefully to the ground with a yelp. Well...that was weird. Where did he go? Maybe he'd just used his Spade speed to get away? But his grip shouldn't have been shaken that easily...
The Coyote looked around, but saw nothing in the gloom. He frowned, turning to give Conall a questioning glance, but the other boy looked as confused as he did. He jumped at the sudden crack of wood, and got to his feet and whirled around in one smooth motion...to face a branch of wood. He frowned. That was just TOO close to be a coincidence. The Coyote moved closer to Castiel, standing near her protectively. This time, he made sure to keep an eye out in all directions. He growled low in his throat, blood still pulsing with adrenaline.

Conall was doing his best to stay calm. The disappearance of the Tulgey was jarring, however. It wasn't as if the monster had gone invisible, and it wasn't as if it was capable of shaking off Arkady like that, was it? He spun around when he heard the snapping of the branch.
He had expected more, but the branch was rather large and had nearly hit Castiel. "I think we should leave, now," he announced as he went over to Castiel's side. He looped his arm in hers and helped her stand.
She was a little shaken. She had been terribly unprepared for this trip. Her hands were still clutching the sword at her side. If she wanted to do something like this again, she would have to think about getting more powers when it came to defending herself and her friends. She bit her lip at Conall's remark, briefly brushing her hand against Arkady in a form of reassurance. "Yeah, let's go... uh..." she winced and whimpered as she moved her arm. "How bad does my back look though?"

Arkady glanced at Conall. Yeah, leaving definitely sounded like a good idea. It hurt, on a primal level, to see the normally unshakable Cas so upset right now. Not that he could blame her, with what had happened...no, he needed to not think about it. Being angry at someone who was now out of his reach wouldn't help this situation any. He leaned into her comforting gesture, though he thought she needed it more than he did...
Arkady worriedly moved to look at her back...and kind of wished he hadn't. Bile rose in his throat at the sight of all that blood, but he forced himself to try and access the severity of the wound anyway. "I...I think it's...not as bad as it looks," he stammered. "Does it hurt real bad?" Yeah, this was why he never opened his mouth. He wasn't even making sense and he certainly wasn't helping Cas. He lent her a shoulder to lean on, if she needed it. If they could just get to where they could treat it a little...he looked worriedly at Conall. Would the incompatibility mean Cas's blood would burn him or something?

Conall would be fine as long as he didn't actually touch the girl's skin. Thankfully she was wearing think enough clothing that he could actually help her. They would have to wash her coat quickly though. Since they were staying in Torquehelm it wouldn't be took difficult.
Castiel did her best to keep a straight face, and not cry. She couldn't get anything on Conall and they needed to get out of the Wood, despite her wanting to watch the village a bit longer. With the amount of sound they made someone would probably come to investigate, and suits, she didn't want to be around for that.
"It... hurts a lot. Kind of like that time Sprinkle bit me. But more stinging when I move. I think I'm just being a bit of a wimp." She wasn't making much sense, that was for certian. She leaned on Arkady when he moved into the right place. "Let's just get back to Torquehelm."
The Tulgey strained to listen to the group talking. Debating on dropping another large tree branch on them if he could maneuver properly. Then again he could always drop a tree on them as they were leaving the Wood. He winced when he smiled, stupid fangs were going to make everything harder.

Arkady shook his head up at her. "You're not a wimp, Cas," he assured her, beginning to walk a slow pace so she could keep leaning on him. "That guy's talons looked real sharp." He's never been cut on anything worse than rose thorns before, so he couldn't even imagine the pain that his friend was in. He tried to increase the pace just a bit, but only if he was sure the other two could match it.
In a situation like this, his natural inclination to keep his steps perfectly in time with those he was walking with was actually useful. He focused on putting one paw in front of the other, of letting Cas lean heavily on him, and of trying to ignore the strong metallic scent of blood. He also glanced up occasionally, trying to see if their attacker was still around. They really couldn't afford another attack. He did still have a few more abilities at his disposal, and he could always summon Dima to attack the man. But he couldn't aim any of those things if he didn't know where he was, or even if he was still hanging around.
