Castiel had a delicate way about eating. Her rather messy sandwich made a point of being difficult, and she ultimately had to dissect the thing to properly eat it. She watched the two boys periodically. Arkady looked exhausted, and Conall just looked disgruntled. She frowned a bit as she finished the last bit of her meal and finished off her water.
"At least that trip to Tulgey was educational," she commented with a small shrug. She winced again. Suits, maybe she should just stop moving? Maybe they could find some ointment that numbed the pain. But were you supposed to put that stuff on open wounds?
Conall had been slowly consuming his sandwich wrap after taking a seat one one of the uncomfortable wooden chairs. He really disliked this depressing realm, and the fact that his sandwich insisted on splitting and trying to spill its contents it just made him more frustrated. When no one was looking he ultimately shoved the remainder of the sandwich in his mouth and practically swallowed it whole. Take that.
He blinked at Castiel's sudden statement. Educational huh? "That's a nice way of putting it," Conall said quietly. "We're not going to attempt that again anytime soon, are we?" He looked to the girl for confirmation. How determined was she?
Castiel shook her head. "And anyway, Arkady is exhausted and I'm hurt. You're the only one who made it out unscathed." Speaking of Arkady.... she turned to the boy as slipped off of the edge of her bed. "If you want to take a nap, Arkady, you can have my bed."

Arkady paused from his meal, wiping his paws on a napkin after he'd finished two whole sandwiches and washing it down with a cup of hot cocoa, though it wasn't nearly as good as what they got at home. It was still comforting after being in the creepy Woods. His ears perked as Cas broke the silence. Educational, huh? That was...yeah. They'd learned first hand now why it was a bad idea to go traipsing off into dangerous Realms. Arkady wasn't the type for 'I told you so's, so that thought never even crossed his mind. He was just sorry it was Cas that had to end up hurt, even though it had been her idea.
He looked over at the girl, glad to see that she was at least more cheerful, though he winced along with her when she was in obvious pain. He was a little more awake now after the food, but still just flat out...exhausted. That trip had taken a lot out of him, though it was more an emotional exhaustion than a physical one. All the anger and worry and fear and concern had done a number on him.
He blushed a little at the offer, glad that no one could tell. "N-no, that's all right, Cas...you need the bed more...I can just...sleep here. But not yet if...if you're not tired..." He glanced between the other two, tail thumping uncertainly. For some reason, the thought of Cas and Conall being alone while he slept left a bad taste in his mouth, and he wasn't sure why. Maybe he was worried they'd go off somewhere without him and he'd feel left out? Maybe...

Castiel shook her head. "No, I don't need the bed more. I'll be fine. I'm actually not tired at all, and if you're sleepy you should sleep. We'll be quiet. I wanted to do a little reading anyway." She grinned widely and cheerfully. This time she was careful about the way she moved.
Conall sipped his hot chocolate, swirling the spoon for a few moments as the pair talked. He was the youngest of the Trio, and sometime she felt like a third wheel. At this moment he was feeling spectacularly ignored. He glanced to Castiel's untouched hot chocolate, trying to look thoughtful rather than awkward. He raised an eyebrow at Cas's reading comment. Well, he had been planning to slip downstairs and chat with one of the barmaids. She had mentioned knowing Peaches earlier and he was vaguely curious to know if he could find out reliable information concerning the crazy cat lady.
"You should take a nap at least, Arkady," he said finally. "I wanted to go downstairs for a bit anyway."

"But...I..." Arkady started to protest, but Cas was already off the bed...his ears folded back in a bit of indecision. He really didn't want to inconvenience anyone. But then, he was still fairly small and wouldn't take up a lot of the bed...so IF Cas decided she still wanted to rest on the bed because it was comfortable for her back, there'd be room for her to sit and read there. There seemed nothing weird about this thought to Ark, who was used to sleeping in a dog pile with several of his siblings.
When Conall finally said that, it seemed he had no other excuses. Not that he needed any in the first place, right? Didn't he want a nap? Ark shook his head, trying to dispel the sleepy confusion. His thoughts running in circles wouldn't help anyone. "Okay...wake me if anything happens," he said, and walked over to the bed. Laying down right on top of the covers he curled up and closed his eyes. It was still a little bit until he could find rest, but hearing the gentle sound of Cas turning pages gradually lulled him into a doze.
He'd only sleep for a little over an hour if nothing woke him before then.

Everything was agreed upon. Conall took the empty cups and left Castiel and Arkady to their own devices. A small part of him was terribly worried that something would happen. He brushed the thought aside in his brain as he occupied himself with chatting up the rather nice (and rather strange) barmaid.
Castiel had taken to reading on the sofa. When Arkady finally slipped off she slowly made her way to the foot of the bed, checking to see if he was actually awake. When she confirmed that he seemed to be sleeping she slipped to the floor and started reading on her stomach. It was nicer than sitting on the sofa.
By the time Conall returned she had fallen asleep with her face in the book. Arkady was on the bed, and he seemed to be slowly stirring.
The hybrid frowned as he looked at the girl. Seriously? The floor? "Arkady," he said quietly. "Would you be willing to help me get Castiel off the floor? She fell asleep."

Arkady's first response to the soft voice was a muffled string of unintelligible half words. His second was to lift his head and blink blearily at Conall. Then, he shook his head, clearing the fuzziness of sleep from it, and sat up on the bed. He blinked, finally processing what the other boy had said. "She fell asleep on the floor?" he asked in dismay, voice even quieter than Conall's. Of course, the question was fully rhetorical as he could see for himself that's what she had done. He was positive she'd been on the couch when he had fallen asleep.
Such a willful girl. Ark admired that about Cas, and yet it was also very frustrating. He nodded and hopped off the bed onto his paws, and moved over beside the sleeping Yarrow. He glanced up at Conall, once again feeling sad he didn't have hands. He waited for the other boy to say how exactly he wanted to do things, and once it was decided he would carefully help to lift her onto the bed, not touching the cut on her back at all. Hopefully, she was a heavy enough sleeper that being moved wouldn't wake her up...

Castiel was out like a light. She could be poked and prodded, and nothing would have woken her up. Well, probably the scent of food or if they poked her in the back, but ultimately she would stay asleep.
Conall lamented Arkady's lack of hands as well. It would have been far easier if they could lift her together using hands and just set her on the bed. As it was he had to figure something out. Gently he poked the girl with a toe to see if she would stir.
When nothing happened he sighed and crouched down. He took a hold of the girls upper arms, and shoulder's motioning for Arkady to attempt to take her feet. "On the count of three. One. Two.... Three!"
It took a little bit of effort to get her flopped on the bed. She made a small sound before she reached out and hugged a pillow. She was still sound asleep, however.
Conall breathed a sigh of relief. He looked to Arkady, "So... now what?"

Somehow, Ark managed to get ahold of her feet, despite not having any hands. He could balance on his hind paws for that short amount of time if he really had to. Of course, he was also keeping a close eye on Conall, to make sure he wouldn't accidentally brush up against Cas and give himself (and probably her) a rash. Or, that was the intent, but he ended up getting distracted by how warm Cas was, how peaceful she looked in sleep, and yet full of life. He took a moment after they'd managed to get her on the bed to pant and just...look at her.,.of course, when Conall spoke again, startling him out of that, Ark turned, face heating up again.
What was with him today? It was so odd. "Well..." He hesitated, thinking honestly about the question. He could go back to sleep...but no, he felt far too awake for that. It was a little more awkward, somehow, to be with just Conall alone, but the Coyote still considered him a friend. "We could...go somewhere?" As soon as the words were out of his mouth, Ark realized that would mean leaving Cas alone...which he was sure neither he nor Conall wanted to do.

Conall would have agreed that things felt awkward when Castiel wasn't up and about and it was just them. He wrinkled his nose slightly as he looked at the girl. She really was a handful, but she looked so sweet when she was sleeping.
His robin chirped cheerfully. He put his hand over its beak automatically, looking at Arkady with a raised eyebrow when he had suggested leaving Castiel alone. As much as he wanted to do it was probably a horrible idea. She could probably light the inn on fire in her sleep.
Then again they should probably trust her to be by herself. She was alone sometimes, and nothing too horrible had happened around all the places she frequented. "Well uh... maybe we should. I imagine we could jump on the bed and she wouldn't wake up. We should talk about dinner plans since dinner isn't really fantastic here."

Arkady shook his head, several times. He really did regret those words as soon as they were out of his mouth. He didn't actually want to leave her alone...though it was less a worry about her getting into trouble without them (although it was very possible) and more just...well, he himself wouldn't like waking up alone. But then, Cas had always been more independent than he was, despite the fact she had siblings too. So...maybe it would be okay and she wouldn't think they'd abandoned her? Ark would never do that.
"...ah, right...dinner..." he mumbled, not really feeling very hungry. He glanced at Cas again, then back at Conall. "What did you have in mind? That we go look for a place that serves normal food?" It would be good to get out a bit...walk around in Torquehelm. Sure, it was dreary and not a very nice place, but at least nothing was going to jump out and attack them.
