To get out of the Warren was sometimes a relief. Sometimes it was a nightmare. His ears were tied back properly, this antlers poking through the bandanna and hat that he had forced on his head. He needed to get away. Damn. He had to get Nadja out of there before something bad happened. What if... No he wasn't going to think of it. The rabbit swallowed hard and cleared his head of the doubt. He had to focus on something else while he walked. He couldn't continue to think about all the horrible things that could happen to his sweet sister while he was gone. Igni was gone. He didn't know where she was traded off to. The thought stung just as badly as the thought of his sister being taken away by the Czar. They weren't traded though. He couldn't help but wonder why. His thoughts wandered back to his sister fairly quickly as he continued down the road. Just go to town and pick up what's on the blasted list and go back. Get harassed by the rest of the warren. Guh. This was a miserable cycle. One day he would just have to break out of it. One day he would get away and take his sister with him. And if he was lucky he'd find Igni and run away with her. His ears would have drooped if they hadn't been tied up.

OOC: I'm tempted to claim and have Zuli stalk him. <3 Up to you, don't know if you're looking for non-interwarren interaction. Lemme know!

His ears were folded back underneath a colorful bandana which was further hidden beneath a grand vision of a captain's hat. Plumed with a feather that had probably been found on the ground, the hat sparkled with captured beads, rusty coins, and odd baubles. Pink sprouted forward from underneath the bandana, falling in a brilliant lock right between his eyes. He wore a vest that conceal his suit and rank, and hung over his shoulder was a heavily laden merchant's rucksack. Believing himself alone on the road, Enzili sang cheerfully of old pirate songs and glory. Today was a good day! After his last bought of ahhh... 'treasure recovery' down in Midori. A pirating group of Cards had been lurking outside of his usual stretch of beach and, with a bit of work, Enzili had manage to dig up their little stash. With a bag full of priceless loot, he had a wonderful feeling about his prospective trip to the massive Card city. They ate up little treasures like this!

The Avington was more than a little surprised when he heard the song as he traveled. Whoever was singing sounded rather cheerful. His ears twitched under the wrapping as he looked around to find the source.
To his utter surprise someone was on the same trail as him. They weren't that far ahead of him either. How had he not noticed it before? The rabbit herm thoughtfully as he looked at the stretch of space between them. He could just hang back and be unsociable.
But he had never seen a pirate before...
Heike took a few deep breaths before darting forward. It didn't take long for him to close the gap, and he still had a bit of breath. "Excuse me! Sir!" or ma'am. Oh well. He paused as his pack slipped off his back. Argh. Composure. He needed more of it. "I'm sorry to bother you but uh... I've never seen a pirate before and I was curious to know if you were going to the local market!."
Heike could take the stick out of his ass if he needed to talk to strangers. And this one seemed odd enough that they wouldn't ask any questions. In fact... their rank and ears were covered. Maybe he had some luck afterall?

Enzili's cheerful song came to a bit of a surprised hiccup when, from apparently out of nowhere, someone hailed him.
The rabbit jumped a little, thumping his foot in surprise as he spun around... into a green and white face. "Oh, 'ello!" He chuckled out, skipping back a few paces to give them room to face one another properly. "I like yer antlers thar! Very cool, mon! Very cool!" The rabbit laughed again, loudly and more confidently. Ever since getting stranded with Zuberi he'd found that talking to cards wasn't all that bad.
...If this stranger even was one, what with how they were on a rather unused trail...
Ah well, he'd see with time. "Aye, yeah! I'm goin to de market, found me a bit o' loot to sell an I plan to make me eh fortune this time through. Get myself a new ship!" ...Skiff, whatever. Something harbor-worthy at least!

Oh. He had an accent! The rabbit's ears twitched under their covering as he relaxed a bit. It had been a while since someone had complimented him. Someone who didn't want to use him for something, that is. "Thank you," Heike said with a slight bow of his head.
The Avington perked at the comment of treasure. An idea popped into his head when the word was spoken. Perhaps if he got something for the Czar he would be able to escape with his sister one day? He would just have to find a safe place away from the warren to keep it...
Of course there was the matter of money. But... he could just steal a bit off of some cards when they weren't looking. That had yet to fail him.
"Treasures you say?" He grinned, "I've been looking for some special things for myself. It must be fate that we met today!"

Today was not only a good day, but a grand day! Even his fellow traveler thought so. They were both on the way to market and, it would seem, he had himself a private buyer even before he hit the market stalls.
"Fate indeed! I've got treasures from all over the regions, great things I assure ya!" Enzili's grin could've consumed his face. Usually he'd keep his exuberance under wraps but he liked to let the buyer think they had a hand up. Made them all much more likely to buy... "Whatcha got in mind, hmm? Somethin' pretty fer eh special friend? Or perhaps somethin dashin' fer yourself?"
Now the pirate's expression turned sly, as if he had a great secret to impart to his new Avington acquaintance, and he leaned in a little. "Or is it the rarities ya be lookin' for? The magical things, hm? I've got a few, y'know, an' I'd be willin' to cut you eh good deal on 'em, since I'm feelin' in such high spirits t'day." His little cotton tail gave a bit of a wag and he tilted his head inquisitively (the motion immediately being followed by the pleasant chiming of old coin against beads).

Heike shifted. His ears panning backwards as he watched his new acquaintance speak. They perked when he mentioned magical items.
Could he get away with this? Could he get away with buying magical items later for his freedom? He just had to be careful and plan everything perfectly. Otherwise things would go horribly. And if he ended up dying that would have defeated the purpose of saving his sister and himself from the nightmare he was living.
"Magical items?" He said with a curious expression. "Call me surprised, you must be an amazing pirate to be able to find such treasures. I might be interested in a few things... though I figure someone as poor as me should look at your cheaper options before you whip out the magical items. I do have to compensate for my Master's funds. And if I don't set a realistic goal for myself... " He shrugged. "But show me what you have and we might both get lucky."

Enzili flashed a dashing grin to his new acquaintance and a wink to go with it. "A good pirate has always got 'is ways when it comes tah treasure." Like robbing idiot cards blind. The Midori would have a good laugh about that later, but for now he was all salesman smiles.
"Low on da funds, huh? We'll see what we can be doin' about that - da hagglin' be half the fun!" Finding a nice clear spot just off the road, Zili slipped aside and pulled his pack off his shoulder. With a cheerful whistle he went about 'setting up shop' so that all of his wares were laid neatly over the rich fabric. After a spell he paused, a thought registering in his head. "Oi, friend! I just realized I haven't yet gotten your name or you mine! I'm Enzili, but your welcome to shorten it to your likin'."
