That's adorable, but I'm sponsoring human children for Christmas. Even as an incorrigable animal lover, I nearly always chose humans over pets when it comes to charitable giving.
Maybe because, you know, human children will actually know that it's christmas and be sad if they don't get anything, while ferrets would probably be pretty happy with an empty paper towels roll or something. XD
Probably an unpopular stance, but hey, it's how I was raised: Be good to animals, but human babies > puppies and kitties. On the other hand, it's easier and more fun to make ferret hammocks than to buy Barbies and transformers, so I guess that's a point in favor of Giving Tree for Ferrets over Angel Tree for needy kids.

That's awesome, Harps! Making a difference in the life of a child is one of the most amazing ways you can show that you care, especially around the holiday season. When I was in high school, a bunch of friends and I really went all-out sponsoring a little boy who loved Spiderman more than anything. Mom had a blast toy-hunting with us. This year, I've just been having a lot of fun making things with my hands. It's very rewarding for me to see something that I created being used by a fuzzy little critter. :3 Or not-so-fuzzy, in the case of Baccardi.
