Yeah, I make the occasional spiel. This is one of them. xD www.ferretgivingtree.com/The Ferret Giving Tree is basically the equivalent to sponsoring a child for Christmas, only instead of a human, you are helping a living noodle in need. There are tons of rescues in most states that have posted their old, their sick, or their behaviorally challenged ferrets who are less likely to receive a home due to one or several of these factors. They generally include a little story about the ferret, as well as several items that would be most appreciated. I'm sponsoring Mister Ollie and Miss Baccardi. The former is a temperamental young male who needs to work out his behavior issues. The latter is a naked old lady ferret who used to go to schools with the rescue for ferret education before she got so sick and lost all her hair. Both of them are receiving snuggly hammocks from me. I specifically looked for noodles who could use those items, since I already have the fabric and whatnot. ferretgivingtree.com/showdetails.php?DetailID=435&treeid=29ferretgivingtree.com/showdetails.php?DetailID=510&treeid=33If you have a little time this Christmas and feel like helping an animal, this isn't a bad way to do so. <3 Most would love food or monetary donations to their vets, and many want toys, bedding, treats, etc.

ROFLMAO! I actually had been eating some ice cream when I read 'living noodles' and spit some of it out. Thanks, Jenn! (I feel like a Tard. I almost did it in Callypso's thread too!) I wish they had a PayPal account. I'd donate in the name of one of the little critters. As it is, I don't feel comfy mailing cash and I don't have any checks. Boo!!

Nat is absent, but Jenn giggles and gives you a thumbs-up. She feels accomplished. Some of them do have PayPal options, actually! If you start looking under the individual ferrets, some have PayPal info listed. For example, Miss Cherry in Georgia. www.ferretgivingtree.com/showdetails.php?DetailID=387&treeid=26Mailing gift certificates is always an option, too! Some list stores they regularly frequent, and many of them have PayPal options to purchase and mail out certificates.

It makes me roll around with giggles. xD No worries.
And sorry to seem like a pusher. x3 I've just been having lots of fun browsing the fuzzes in need, and wish that I could do more. So I figure that advertising them might help get more Santas for the furrets, and that's doing more of my part.
For example, I can't donate ze moneyz right now, which some of them specifically need. So! I lead others to them, like lambs to the slaughter like awesome people who don't need a tired Jenn blathering at them. xD

Curious about one thing, - I don't have a lot of money to give. At most I could only probably give $5 for two or three ferrets. My question is, since that doesn't really seem like it will help, should I pay to their paypal account and not sign up as a Santa, so someone else might be able to help them more?

Mmm. Well, that might not be a bad option, if you want to donate. I know that they use every cent for food and bedding and whatnot. Alternately, you might donate $10 or $15 to one ferret? That would buy them a good amount of food, toys, treats, etc. for the holiday season, more than you might think.

xD Ohhhh, I know exactly what you mean right there! I had only initially meant to make hammocks for Ollie, but I got through my two rat-friends' Santa hammocks so quickly today that I decided I could do just oooone more...
