He was utterly bored. Painfully so. His tail swished in aggravation as he slowly pushed his brother forward down the hallway, making sure that he wouldn't run into anything. Sometimes he really did wish he could get his brother leash. Of course his mother would kick him in the head if he mentioned something so awful. He rolled of the thoughts as he glanced down the hallway. He walked easier when he took of his bindings, even if they "didn't get in the way" he thought they were annoying. "Xander, is there thomeone around here?" Othello asked quietly as he stopped in his tracks. He whistled slightly as his ears twitched, scanning the area for something. He heard other noises, things he was seeing and knew weren't real. Well, things he hoped that they weren't real. Xander raised an eyebrow as he glanced around the hallway. "I don't think so. It's probably just your imagination."

Andrei had taken rather a liking to the ceiling. The ground was always a boring and inconvenient place, save for the people he met on it. He had a book held in his thumb-claws as he hung from the ceiling. Adventures with Sasha had begun to lose his interest, education taking the place of that old hobby. The lack of hands left the use of his Bat tongue to turn the page. He was well aware it looked strange, but it got the job done. That, and hardly anyone ever looked on the ceiling anyway. When he heard voice, he looked down. Oh, those two! What were their names again? He'd always been so caught up playing imaginary games that he never really took the time to meet the other people in the court. They were... his nephews, right? Half nephews? He closed his book and put it in one of his feet. They were family... ish... he should meet them for real. He let go with the other foot and glided down to the ground. "Well, I am," he said with a smile, "Dunno, if that counts, though."

Xander puffed up instantly when he heard the voice. It was a normal reaction to surprise visitors that he had never managed to kick. His fur went down rather quickly when he matched the voice with the image of the card in front of him.
Othello's tail just twitched as he lowed to the ground a bit. He was seeing absolutely nothing in the hallway, but clearly he was hearing someone. Everything was going to be okay though, because Xander was there. He made everything okay.
Sneaky was great and all, but Xander honestly perfected people who were in plain sight. His grandmother was just special. "Hello!" he said cheerfully before nudging Othello for a response with one of his arms.
"Hi..." he said meekly with a slight whistle.
"Hey wait! Aren't you uh...." Xander's ears pulled back in thought. He had a lot of family, and sometimes he lost track. This one was... an uncle? Or something? "Er... it begins with an A."
Othello provided the answer in the form of a question. "Andrei?"

Andrei's mouth twitched into a smile before he quickly forced it to go back to normal. That was... too funny. He loved all the quirks every breed had.
He meant to be polite, but he couldn't help but stare and tilt his head at the darkly colored one. That green mist coming out of his eyes was strange to say the least. And his eyes... was he blind? The way his eyes were unfocused and searching for the source of the voice... maybe it had something to do with that strange mist? Obviously magical and from the looks of things, not benign. He couldn't help but smile at the whistle his buck teeth made. That was just endearing.
"Hello to you," he greeted back. He nodded at the meeker one, "Yup! I'm Andrei! ...though I'm absolutely ashamed to admit, I don't remember your names."

Othello bowed his head in greeting. "I'm Othello. It'th nice to finally meet you."
"I'm Xander! I have the same sentiments as my quiet brother." The feline said as he batted at his brother's head with one of his arms. A smile crept onto his face as his brother shifted to avoid him. He was getting better at listening to "reality." Of course he had a long way off from not running into doors. And the city was out of the question... still.
Having a needy brother was difficult.
"What were you doing up there?" Othello asked with a head tilt. He had heard the bat eagle come from above. What he was doing there was anyone's guess, so he might as well ask. It was a point of conversation after all.
Xander's ears flickered at the question. Hey. Might as well let his brother lead the conversation, this was a pretty rare occasion. Must have been because Andrei was family or something...
