Liliana was still getting used to city life. It was busy, noisy, and she was slowly discovering that not everyone stopped to help a little lost girl like Ichigo had. Oh well, all good things take time and she was working the kinks out slowly but surely. With a feline purr, the lioness slipped quietly into the tea shoppe. Not as authentic as the one Ichigo had been looking for, but it was homey and served good tea along with a selection of little sandwiches and such. It was a good place, Lili loved it. She was greeted by her usual waitress and they chatted their way to an open seat. "I'd like a tuna sandwich and some raspberry tea and, when you bring my check, I want a doggy bag with some cooked chicken and a bowl of cream." The bipedal panther shook her head, laughing as she took down the order. This cafe had once been home to the bander that now lived with Lili and everyone was used to his specialized tastes. That left Liliana alone at last, scanning the meager lunch crowd for something interesting to catch her eye.

Bertram was finshing the rest of his apple slices when the Sorgaire lioness had walked in. He had never seen a lioness before so he wasn't exactly sure what he would do, if he would either introduce himself or just walk out. He sat there for what felt like several minutes just staring at her. He didn't even notice the waitress standing behind him, until she finally asked if he was going to pay or if he wanted anything else. After being caught off guard he sat there dumbfounded for a minute then eventually put the money down the bill for the expense from his lunch. He moved his way towards the lioness. "ya, know I don't believe I have ever seen a Sorgaire before", he said in the most cheerful way he could. Something about her was interesting and he felt that he should talk to her. If she didn't want to talk to him she would probably just walk away.

As Liliana's gaze traveled, she discovered that someone was watching her. A Midori canine with deep purple-pink dreads was eying her form across the room with an intensity that nearly unnerved her... until the waitress caused him to jump. Lili giggled quietly and discretely looked away, focusing instead on the waitress who was currently pouring her a cup of tea.
"Thanks, Lauren."
Setting it aside to cool, Lili turned to see what the Midori was doing again only to find that he'd taken the initiative to approach her. His introduction explained his staring at least, and Lili smiled warmly. "You're not alone in that," Lili giggled, "but this is the first time I can share the sentiments. I've never met a Midori, myself." Liliana motioned cheerfully to the chair across from her. "I'm Liliana, you're welcome to join me if you're not in a rush." He didn't really look like he was, but it was always best not to assume.

Bertram didn't have any destination in mind so he trotted his way to where she was sitting. "I,d love to" he said grinning as he happily took the chair next to her. Her name was Liliana eh? Something about this name interested him it was unique. Well to him at least.
He pondered in his mind for a moment "So what is Sorgaire like?" he said wondering. He had never been remotely close to the range and his curiousness knew no bounds. He wondered if the range ever got sunny and warm like Midori, but he was probably just fooling himself because he figured by the womans coloring it was probably nowhere close to what he was thinking.
Oh! he had almost for got to introduce himself "My names Bertram" he said as his dreads fell over his eyes. Blasted things, what had ever bewitched him to dread his mane they were bulky and uncomfortable.

Liliana took a couple sips of her cooling tea as Bertram settled down across from her. What was Sorgaire like?
"I may be a bit biased, but Sorgaire is wonderful. It's not as cold as the Solandrian Glaciers but its still a wonderful sort of wintery cold. You get cool, crisp air and frequent snow with some warmer months in the summer. Wonderfully well rounded, but also a bit of a small town. We don't get as many visitors as I imagine Midori must get. Do you live there?" It seemed like a silly question, but considering that she herself had recently moved to the Capital it wasn't unlikely that he had left his own region.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Bertram. It's always nice to have company for lunch. I've only just moved here and I'm still trying to get settled and make friends."

"Sorgaire sounds wonderful. I'm not much for the cold though, being in a place like Midori allot I've never really agreed with the cold."
"Indeed I do live in Midori, I usually visit the capital for lunch. Something about it here is fascinating to me, I think it's getting to see all the people from different regions come together like in a giant mixing pot. Midori gets allot of tourist and is usually very populated. I work at the family fruit stand sometimes, but I find it more fun to escape to the capital every now and then for some fun." After feeling that he had run his mouth a bit to much on that subject he finally finished.
"How about you do you live in Sorgaire?"He managed, He was not exactly sure if he should add anything else so he would just wait and see if she had anymore questions.

"I'm still getting used to the warmer weather around here." Liliana laughed a little. "Sounds like Midori is pretty warm and it's a coastal region, is it not?, does it get humid there as well? I've never really experienced much of that..." The lioness blushed a little and shook her head. The Capital wasn't really that warm and she was certain she'd quickly adjust. At his mention of escaping for fun, Lili stifled a chuckle against her paw. "I'm sure everyone has that desire every now and then, though my parents were far too strict for that. Everyone had to help out with the family business - Dad did training, Mom managed the store front and I helped out with the students."
Everyone always told her she had the sweetest smile for a lion and a wonderful mannerism with kids. It was work she enjoyed as well... perhaps it was something she could look into here...
Bertram's question brought her back to the conversation at hand without much of a pause and she shook her head. "Not anymore. I spent most of my entire life there, only leaving to visit the Solandrian Glacier to the north, but I came here to get a fresh start - just last month, actually. It's going a little slowly, but I hear there are opportunities everywhere here, if you just look hard enough."
