So this is Mirriam's version of how she got her scar from that Jubjub...XD
Mirriam’s Superhero Adventure!
Characters: Mirriam, mentions of Merlin, Zenon, and Khushrenada
Word count: 584
The sun was shining in Capital City, and it just seemed like it was a normal day. But to Mirriam, world-famous superhero and protector of the innocent, it was a good day...for a cool adventure! (That’s me of course, but talking about myself in the third person makes me sound older and more awesome.) I was walking along, in a beautiful garden, with a house—no, a mansion—standing dramatically foggy in the background, when suddenly...I heard a little whimper. Turning, I saw an innocent cute little puppy, and I immediately ran over to see what the problem was. “Are you okay?” I asked him, and he said (I know puppies can’t talk, but superheroes are special and we can understand all cute little animals better than normal people can).
He said: “It’s gonna get me!” and started to cry. I wondered what he was talking about, but then I heard a horrible sound behind me, and there was a HUGE bird with a horrible ugly rat tail and a horrible ugly bald head and beady red eyes diving right for the puppy! Quickly, I pushed him out of the way, telling to him run, because I was after all a superhero and he was in luck that I was here to save him! With a cry I turned to the rat-bird, and we fought!
It was a gruesome, horrible battle, but it was very exciting. It was fought half on the ground, half in the sky, and half on the roof of the mansion! I managed to defeat my foe, but in the process, he scratched me right down the side of my face. There was a lot of blood, but I was okay, because I’m a superhero so I can survive anything! But I did need someone to help me take care of the wound. So I knocked on the door of the mansion, and a prince came out of it. An Avington prince with large feathery wings and cool eyes and large paws.
He had this big smile on his face, and when I asked him why, he said, “Thank you for saving me, little girl! You are very brave indeed. That horrible bird had me under a spell, so I had to do whatever he said! But in defeating him, you have freed me, and now I can return to ruling my kingdom the way I want it, with justice and peace for all!” (Pretty cool sounding, huh? I came up with that myself...I mean, it was what the prince said to me!) His name was Prince Merlin, and he invited me inside for cake and tea. Oh, and he also called in the royal doctor, who used her magic to stitch my cut up just like it was a dress she was mending! But then, I had to return to my own home, for there were more people to save, and a superhero’s work is sadly never done. Besides it was getting dark and Mr. Birdy Man—er, His Highness always wants me back before dinner. But I would never forget the puppy and the entire kingdom that I saved from the dark influence of the horrible Rat-bird, and the battle scar I got will always serve as a reminder of the day that will go down in history, until everyone knows the name of Mirriam, a superhero for the ages!
