For a while now I've been poking at the 100 Questions character development sheet and realizing just how little attention span I have for things like that. XDD Not to mention how little time I have, so I developed my own little criteria for explaining more than anyone will ever care to know about my chars. XDD
I give you Ophelia for now, because she's loud and opinionated and easy to write down. Others will be coming soon (if you'd like to see someone in particular, let me know ^^). Also, for those who enjoy these meme-type things, feel free to do your own~
===========================
(Word Count: 1030)
Personality: Confident, Competitive, Intellectual, Perfectionist, Non-materialistic, Rebel with a cause, Serious, Business-Minded, Non-conformist, Always finishes what she starts. Loving parent, structured and patient.
Vices: Can be aloof, cold, overly serious, and domineering. While she doesn't like to make people think a certain way, she is certainly not quiet about her ideals. Opinionated. Workaholic.
Timineline/History:
Education:
In your own words...
Occupation (or your Corvie Speciality?): Chemicals and Genetics, especially in regards to genetic splicing. My mother shared this interest with me... Particularly with the biochemistry of the body rather than how genes interact... I am not above using my own body for science, which is probably pretty obvious.
Greatest Success: Aside from myself, my first successful genetic splice made prior to receiving my bipedal form, I would have to say Severus... He was my first (and currently my only) child to possess my snake traits as part of their biological make up. A full half-snake, instead of simple serpentine mutations. It was a wonderful moment, nearly made me forget about all the pain of birthing the rest of them.
Future Goals: I want to reach a status equal to any Queen: great enough to show my father that he can shove it without actually having to be a member of a conformist, back-stabbing society of lap dogs. You don't need to be a Queen of the Court in order to take one down.
Other than that, I'd really love an heir... Someone to take over my business when I can't... and I'm getting on in life, it won't be all too long before that happens. Bloody hell does that make me feel old...
What do you think of...
Aces? Really, I don't see the big social repulsion to Aces. They're our magical duds, but at least they're mostly impotent and can be put to good uses. Go ahead and treat the dumb ones like pets, let the intelligent ones do menial physical labor, and go on with life. You don't need to socially ostracize the parents or turn those less than you into coats.
If they can learn to speak, than they're person enough for me. Not to mention they make ready enough test subjects... Can't be any harm in that...
Lowlanders? Urg. I do so hate following the crowd and, above all else, I will remain civil until given a reason to be otherwise, but for fuck sakes they are repulsive creatures at best. If it's not their stench of death and rot, then they've got a foul attitude or missing limbs... and guh, that rot really does make my skin crawl.
I admit that some interesting cases can change my mind... Tavor was a sweetheart (and only half Lowlander) and Maxwell enjoyed coddling him... Besides, I couldn't just say no and throw the meek thing back out... There was also that boy without any rot, quite intriguing... but really, the majority of their ilk are less than favorable...
Cats, Rabbits, and Jokers, oh my? I don't know so much about Cats, mysterious creatures they are... But Rabbits and Jokers... I've got two very special friends that opened my eyes to that little wonder, so I can't say I don't believe. ...Of course, that won't be leaving this conversation -- believing in fairy tales can be detrimental to a respected scientist's name...
Ghosts? Ha! Laughable, really. There's no hard proof, not even a solid case study. Some hardcore occult freaks have some intriguing claims, at best, but there's nothing out there that's solid enough for me to waste my breath debating.
Assorted Facts:
1. My favorite tea is Dragonwell Green Tea
2. I was born left-handed but I taught myself to be ambidextrous.

Ophelia is proud and self-confident. She is a workaholic and has /worked/ for her achievements. In her opinion fame is only natural; a bi-product of her life's work come to fruition. She does her best not to let this fame get to her head, letting her work come to her through word of mouth. Otherwise she remains in her labs or with her family, working to be a good parent and to perfect her genetics.
No matter how hard she works she never feels satisfied with the results.
She has only really loved one person -- Silvanus -- and was hurt as she expected. Since then she keeps procreating purely scientific. Love will happen if its meant to happen. Sexually she is a dominant heterosexual, but has no problem with sleeping with men. Despite her lack of a real lovelife, she holds family in high esteem. Just because she has kids out of science does not mean she doesn't love them.
She is anti-establishment and finds organized religion, and the courts, a great waste of time... but she isn't going to go run protests about it. Everyone has free will for a reason.
For the most part she is easy going, willing to accept most theories so long as they do not directly contradict her own. You will not harm or insult her family in her presence unless they truly deserve it, and even then she will probably be willing to kick your ass to protect them.
