Hallo thar, Thea! I'm Jenn, resident co-admin and cheerful helper to the site's main admin and the brain behind all of this madness, Nathalia. Welcome to SoD! It's always great to see new blood.
I'm always open for PMs and questions, so if anything seems confusing or you aren't sure on something, feel free to shoot me a message. There's no such thing as a lame question and sometimes the world can be a little overwhelming when you're first trying to take it all in.
Nat's the one who will have to give you the official okay and assign your random starter, but in the meantime please feel free to browse and chat. How did you stumble across our little corner of the intarwebz?

Wow, thanks guys! ^^ Really nice to meet you, Greenie aka Bob, and you too, Jenn! I'll try not to bother you too much with questions, but no promises. ^^; Unfortunately I'm kind of a slow learner, ahaha.
Oh, I found myself here through the Distant Fantasies site, actually. c: I'm a little out of practice, but I figured this place was so cool I had to give it a try.

Take your time, gather your bearings, and I'll have a starter up for you as soon as I can, stick around, I should have her up in about ten minutes.
Jenn will make you a board in the Dealer's records and you can start your set-up there, and then we'll see about getting you started!

Trust me, it's no bother at all. Especially if it helps and I can clarify some stuff for you! ^_^ You really can't PM me too many times.
You'd be surprised how many people came here either out of practice with roleplaying or uncertain of their writing skills. Pretty much the only requirement we have for RP posts is that they're a minimum of 150 words, which is why we have the handy-dandy word counter at the bottom of every page to double check when you're submitting. Sometimes you have to push to reach that limit if the characters are being pains or not doing much. Other times it flies by and you find yourself with three or five hundred words and blinking in surprise.
One thing I can promise you with this site is activity. Not every member, and not every thread, but we've always got something going on. We also have a really thriving fanworks (fanart and fanfic) community for the site because doing them earns you points that you can spend on your characters in abilities or ranks or whatnot.
Do you happen to have AIM? It's always fun to poke at people and I might be able to answer questions for you in real-time when you have them. If not, a'course no worries.

Oh, actually I do have AIM. I just added it, it's the same as my e-mail (wishiwasafirefly). ^^; Hopefully that makes it easier when I start plotting with people and stuff, ahaha.
I've been going through and looking and things and I'm really getting excited, everyone is such a good writer and the art is amazing. It's really something! xD
