ENTRY 2 Your Name: Vyn SD or Rabbit?: SD Realm/s: Hisstor Wastes Rank: 2 Breed/s: Feline [TABBY CAT] Mutations: None. *He's not 'perfect' but definitely a good gist of what I envision: very 'domestic tabby' sort of markings, with something intricate and spiky around the eye, lots of speckling, a stripe down the back (with 'rib' stripes), striped tail (more speckles) and very over-patterned legs. I've had a couple different speculations for cards that would just be generally awesome to have... Whether for appearance or personality or a dozen other things. Pesrohirael was easy, he's a muse that I have been dying to see in card (or, rather, Rabbit) form for a long long time... but it's hard sorting through the rest of awesome ideas (let alone through characters I already have) to find a second ultimate. In the end I think this boy wins for muses dying to see the light of day. He hasn't given me a name yet, but I he's heavily inspired by my awesome orangie at home. Yavi was just a wonderful accident... I happened on him at school entirely unaware that he was about to leap into my life but the moment I picked him up and he looked at me with those big molten gold eyes and started to purr, I knew he was mine. Immediately upon meeting him, my mom said he reminded her of The Artful Dodger, which has stuck him with the name: Yavi Dodger. Yavi is a great big, handsome, prince of a boy. Your classic Alleycat "O'malley" with a swagger to his walk, and a pride greater than his tiny mew can properly express... but he's still a stray at heart. I see all this translating easily into his character -- a lowly 2 of diamonds who puts all of his charismatic charm to good use. He doesn't need a soft bed and a cushy spot in life, just room to wander and the chance to swindle his way into someone's pocket. He keeps himself dressed up even though he only has his animal form, wearing vests and top hats in order to look more 'gentlemanly'. He's also got a bit of a smoking habit to contend with and loves his pipes whether it's full of fresh tobacco or something more 'potent'. His bone ornament(s) would be a collection of bone bracelets all the way along his tail. The bracelets near the tip of his tail are adorned with rib bones that, when his tail flicks or 'wags' in classical feline anger, the bones rattle together. As of now he's a happy vagabond, happily getting by on what he has (and what he steals) and making a life for himself wherever he wanders. His muse may not be one that I've established for a long time, but he has a great deal of room to grow, to mature, to flourish and is one that I am entirely fond of.<3

Your Name: Bee SD or Rabbit?: SD Realm/s: Raemblen Bog/Yarrow Gardens Rank: Ten Breed/s: Canine (Fennec Fox) Suit: Hearts Mutations: None.
Well, part of the fun of SoD is taking the rules and boffing them sideways, so what's better than something thought not to be able to exist, eh? This little abomination baby (tentatively named Maeve, but I'm picky and go through several thousand names before settling) has been sitting in my head for a while (or at least since Nat added new realms information). Her father was a Bog woman who died shortly after copulating with her mother, and her mother died during the birth after an extremely painful and complicated pregnancy. Her extended family took her in, but treated her warily, eventually kicking her out as they grew progressively more ill by being in contact with her.
The oil she is coated with actually smells extremely good but is highly toxic--the result is that she tends to attract people very easily, but makes them almost deathly ill if she gets too physical with them; she gets intimate with NO ONE, and does not even allow people to touch her. Her parentage has seemed to hook up her genes all wrong: she doesn't breathe ANY air easily, and would pretty much be crippled by debilitating asthma should her mask (which modulates it into something almost bearable) be removed. She is extremely reticent and secretive, and would likely not even give out her name under most circumstances.
Also, Fennec foxes are tied with sugar gliders and margays for cutest animal in the world. Lookit those ears! So yes. That is the Uber from Bee.

Your Name: Yuiven SD or Rabbit?: SD Realm/s: Corvistowne Rank: 10 Breed/s: Ferret Suit: Hearts Mutations: Mechanical Corvistowneian. Most of her head, both of her ears, and her right eye are completely mechanical. This cybernetic mutation was caused by spell-bound soft leather strap that has one goggle lens left on it. It's an off shade of soft bottle green, and slightly cracked but looks rather charming.
Allow me to introduce Heterodyne. It isn't her real name because she lost her memory under mysterious circumstances. Thus she adopted that name based on the radio signal processing method, which is the combination of two or more frequencies to create new and different ones. Heterodyning is also an extremely complex way of humming of which she is uniquely capable of performing. This special ability aids the ferret in concentration in addition to allowing her to think more clearly.
Heterodyne is brilliant and creative, although somewhat scatterbrained. She has a tendency to lose a certain sense of perspective once she dives headlong into a project. Her colouration is soot black with geometrical electric green stripes that, coincidentally, resembles circuitry. The cybernetic upgrade on her head is metallic grey and her right eye is a uniform shade of electric green, just like her markings. She is devoted to Mechanics, especially talented at creating and repairing mechanical/electrical devices. In recent times, she's become inspired by the works of the infamous Mad Hatter, and has begun to focus her genius and efforts into learning how to construct her own clockwork creations.
Heterodyne's major hobby, as well as means of support, is collecting. She lives to collect junk. Travelling all over the world, the Corvistowne ferret constantly scavenges for bits and pieces and then tosses them onto her handcart. Heterodyne keeps stuff that she might need, carrying things for months or even years until she can either repair it, make something out of it or meet up with someone who can use it. All the while, she seeks to find the answers to her past.
Far from weak, Heterodyne defends herself forcefully with her innate magical abilities, teeth and claws, and a large wrench, good for building things and whacking people. (No self-respecting Heart is going be without a weapon!)
Why do I consider Heterodyne to be the Ultimate SD?- for the reason that her character came into existence so naturally and easily to me. I believe that the three quintessential ingredients for a memorable character are 1) an engaging personality, 2) a unique appearance, and 3) a story that's begging to be told. In my humble opinion, Heterodyne comes to life with all three of these qualities. While she does have an interesting back-story, she still has plenty of room for character development, taking her own path with every new opportunity as her story progresses.
There also has to be a "unique" quality about the character that helps him or her stand out from the crowd. Something about the character that only you can imbue. Heterodyne is, above all else, a techno-geek at heart. This chick digs robots! She thinks, lives and collects the technology. In fact, she even looks like one. People often don't get her and this can frustrate Heterodyne to no end, but she perseveres in her endeavours regardless.
Last but definitely not least, Hearts are at the top of the proverbial food chain, and my favourite out of the four Suits. She's smart and she can kick your butt! What more could I ask for in the Ultimate SD?

Your Name: Shinigami SD or Rabbit?: SD Realm: Torquehelm Rank: Queen Breed: Feline (Cat) Suit: Spades Mutations: Full-sized bat-like wings, long mane
Tall and elegant, she wears long, flowing robes to accentuate that grace, both in her bipedal and human forms. Her fur is entirely black, with the only hint of purple being her eyes, claws, and the webbing of her wings. The wings are full-sized, and can easily carry her in flight as well. Her mane is a long, dark fall down her back, and is usually left free; it is straight and rather fine stuff, silky-smooth and a pain to actually keep in a particular style if she ever does bind it up.
Based on appearances, she would seem to have no binding, but it instead takes the form of something far more mental than physical. She does not speak. It does not mean that she isn’t capable of it – she has fully-formed vocal chords, as well as perfectly functional lips, teeth, and tongue – but refuses to speak. She has not communicated her reasoning for that lack even in writing when given the opportunity. Despite having a binding, even if not physical, she does not have the white wing marks on her back.
Her slithy tove is a soft silver color, and tends to curl around her neck like a heavy necklace for the most part. Its magic allows it to, once a week, cause itself and its master to fade from sight. They don’t become invisible, but rather translucent and difficult to focus on.
Why is this my ultimate SD? Well, I’ll admit that the physical appearance is very much based off of my fursona, but it’s also because I think that it’s absolutely gorgeous. Torquehelm has always been one of my favorite realms for the color combination, I adore the bat-like wings, and of course I have a hair fetish. The lack of voice means that she would have to communicate entirely through body language and the written word, both of which are things that interest me, and so I would love to see how I could work with them in my RPing. As to why a Queen? …why not? *grin*

Entry two!
Your Name: Shinigami SD or Rabbit?: SD Realm: Midori Beach/Villa en Miir Rank: Jack Breed: Mustelid (Raccoon) Suit: Spades Mutations: Long dreadlocked mane, webbed feet
This raccoon is mostly Midori when it comes down to it. She’s got the characteristic green and pink, and her dreads are almost eye-blindingly bright. Her face is bright and mobile, always ready to change from one expression to another at the drop of a hat, even though most often it’s in a big grin. The only hints of her Midori heritage are at the tips of her hair – which fade to a light purple – and in the writing across her body, with “Worry” in blue and “Happy” in dark purple. Okay, so they clash with the rest of her colors, but she isn’t one to let that stop her.
Okay, so there’s another sign of her Villa heritage: she sings. All the time. It’s actually pretty difficult to get her to shut up. Almost all of them are happy, feel-good songs as well, because she says that she doesn’t feel like depressing herself just to sound dramatic. Her mother was the Villa musician, and she was always a bit disappointed that her daughter never wanted to head back to the cliffs like the rest of her siblings to become a professional musician. Her father, on the other hand, was perfectly happy to have her stay around and become a beach bum just like him. He was the one who taught her most of the songs she knows, actually.
In the spirit of her Villa heritage, her mother did give her a stone to wear as jewelry. She did her best to make it line up with her heavy Midori influence though, and so got her a set of elegant pearls, set in silver that’s crafted to look like ocean waves. She loves it, and wears it almost all the time, even when swimming. It got to the point where she actually started a small trade crafting and selling pearl jewelry, occasionally taking a turn as a pearl diver to get herself even more pieces to work with.
Her slithy tove is just as relaxed as she is, and its only magical ability is that whenever it “sings” with her (that is, hums along), it is always in harmony with her. Otherwise it tends to just chill out and soak up the sun.
Why would I want this? Because I love Midori Beach, and I want a character from there. Especially a happy, outgoing character who I could have a lot of fun just playing around with. The Villa part comes from the fact that I love music, as well as the fact that I can’t get “Don’t Worry, Be Happy” out of my head whenever I think of her. Maybe she isn’t particularly dramatic or amazing, but she would be so much fun to play!

Heh, I hope that the deadline is the midnight after the 20th rather than the midnight before. XD I would like to say that I already have my "ultimate" which is Heilyn, but, really. We all here more than we all want to about her, so here's something new! Not exactly an "ultimate", but I enjoy her, so why not? She's been in my mind undeveloped for a while now. I just put the fragments together. To be honest, it still doesn't feel complete to me, but whatever. Might as well try to get an entry in. ENTRY 1 Your Name: Satra SD or Rabbit?: SD Realm/s: Midrange Rank: Jack Breed/s: Fox/Kangaroo Rat Suit: Club Mutations: Aiko was born to two Spades. However, despite their own suit being a black one, they feels Clubs are inferior. On top of that, they were both 10’s. She was born a ‘2’. Disgusted with the blemish on their daughter’s chest, they replaced it with the characteristic bleeding wound of the Midrangers. Her father was a Martial Arts Master and her mother was a housewife (originally from a noble family). She spent her life as basically a servant while her higher-ranked Spade siblings received special treatment. Though she was not treated well by her family, she made several friends and found many good role models among the rest of the servant staff. She cleaned the dojo, fixed broken shenais and found alternate uses for broken bokens, tended the gardens, fixed, cleaned, and maintained training equipment, etc. However, she would watch her father’s lessons whenever she could and, though tired at the end of a day of work, trained by herself while everyone else was asleep. Eventually one of her brothers found her training by herself and threatened to tell their father. However, knowing despite her brother’s inflated ego, he was one of her father’s worst students, so she made a deal with him. If he could beat her in a spar, then he could tell, but if he lost, he had to keep the secret. Cocky and arrogant, the untalented whelp agreed. And lost. It was several years later that she surprised her parents with packed bags and a word of farewell. She never found out her brother had broken his promise and had told their father. However, when her father managed to squeeze the information out of him that not only had he lost (the bruises were a big hint) but he had also broken an oath he’d made, he did nothing other than punish the brother. Aiko now travels the lands in search of learning martial art from across the world with the goal of becoming a great master herself. Her general outlook on life is optimistic and outgoing. However, she still thinks she is a very low rank when in fact she had risen quite high in her rank. Through her sheer determination to better herself in general, she had accidentally and unknowingly triggered the rise of her own rank.

Entry 1
Your Name: Kasatsu SD or Rabbit?: SD Realm/s: Torquehelm Rank: 3 Breed/s: Cat (Black Panther) Suit: Clubs Mutations: Ankle length hair that exudes the vaguest scent of vanilla.
Nathaniel was born in the form of a bipedal black panther his parents bound his forearms together behind his back. The tightness of the bindings causes him pain in his shoulder, back, and neck. (He's double jointed and so can pop his arms to in front of him for short periods of time to help relieve tension and allow blood flow to his hands). Having the bindings in this manner since his birth has caused for him to build up a tolerance to the pain while also causing him to become masochistic towards it, needing it to be used to cause him pleasure and to feel safe. He and his older brother were both regularly abused by their father when younger and one night when his father’s rage was more than usual, his older brother came to his defense and was killed by it.
Though he has a dependency problem, as well as other small problems commonly found on the board – all of which can be worked through with therapy, Nathaniel is my favorite character from a book series. His personality, form, smell, and name are all things that make me squee and definitely improve my mood. It is because he brings me so much joy and I really enjoy the idea behind how he would be as a Card that he is my ultimate card. I am not sure if I can otherwise explain my utter joy at the idea of him.
((Card based off the char Nathaniel from the Anita Blake series X3))

Entry 2 Your Name: Kasatsu SD or Rabbit?: SD Realm/s: Josiggy Marsh / Morganberry Rank: 10 Breed/s: Equine/Vermin (Mouse) Suit: Hearts Mutations: Her hooves are rather hot to the touch, they won't burn through most materials, and most people are exempt, but expensive rugs may meet their death around her. This one I had to think about a great deal, long and hard as well. When this answer kept coming to me I finally decided that maybe I did indeed have the answer before me. I have noticed that ever since we came across the *cough* wonderful *cough* idea of having the two Queens breed after getting their drinks spiked, then later, were given the wonderful Raider babies I have been very content. To me, the whole batch of all ten kids are the ideal characters (oddly enough my head considers them one [Raider] rather than individuals XD; I simply adore how all ten of them came out, Spite, Blight, Vicious, Brimstone, Zehen . . . It is Fey, however, who takes the cake on ideal. She is the most perfect combination of her parents, being both equine and vermin at the same time. Her horns and feet mutation being inherited from her father Ader, she has just the right genes from Rai to carry on his line as well.

Your Name: sera SD or Rabbit?: SD Realm/s: Highlander/Josiggy Marsh/Morganberry/Selkie Lakes Rank: Queen Breed/s: Snake/Horse/Mouse/Sparrow Suit: Heart Mutations: Fire forefeet It is. . . the Dynasty Card. Her family heritage includes part of the major dynasties on the board: Serafino, Shinrai, Aderlass, and Theofilus. Born a Queen of Hearts, she reflects her heritage with scales and snake eyes, mousy horse ears attached to a horse head with mouse fore paws that have the same firey abilities that Aderlass has, bird back feet and a selkie mane that runs from the top of her head all the way down her lithe body to the tip of her snake-esque tail. I also just remembered that I have a picture. xD; She is the ‘ultimate’ SoD character in the vein that she reflects the major players from the board and is a culmination of the most powerful Cards. xD; /amused xDD;;;
