So I opened the pm from Satra before I looked anywhere else today, and then SCRAMBLED for announcements as fast as I freakin' could. XDDD Then I screamed and swore and made Tony and Cryo laugh at me. A lot. But I don't even care, I am so surprised and happy. I love my little catfish qwabbas, I just can't wait to see one in action. <3
Congrats to the other winners, you guys did a damn good job. You know what, this goes to all of you. One of the reasons I love this game is the creativity shown by its members, and this contest shows that so well. Amazing, amazing stuff, I had an absolute blast looking through the entries and wibbling about which ones I wanted to see most. Nat, you had a really hard choice ahead of you. @_@

Dude, I saw this and squealed and flailed around so much I scared my sister out of my room, which makes this a double win because normally once my sister decides to talk at me it takes at least an hour to get rid of her.  My incoherent squeeing, let me show you it. <3333 Seriously, this contest was so awesome. I'm an absolute nut for world-building, so reading everyone's entries was like crack. Beautiful, well-constructed, joyous crack. I think part of my brain has broken off to live in a super happy alternate universe where all of them exist. I'm so glad you guys are pleased X3.
I'd hoped the new Realms would be well received.
As it is, I'd forgotten to post this information about the new lands, so here you are:
1. Durum Veldt - rare It's as hard to get as Hisstors, Mid-Range, Lowlanders, and Tulgeys from now on, unlike the Bog-splosion that accidentally happened, these guys will be regulated. <3 Due to their background, it just seemed most fitting that with the thinning of their "herd", there aren't many of them.
2. Benyan Riverlands - Common Let them be EVERYWHERE! They'll be seen about as often as Kahmden and Josiggy.
3. Niieliye (Cranstone Moors) - Uncommon Harder to find, but their dilution through the massive amounts of Torques helped them to still stay easily on the map like Solandrians, Villas, and Avingtons, just not as easy to find as a damn Corvie. <3
4. The sekrit Nat-Realm - Effing Rare. <3 They've practically piously and prudishly slim-pickins'd themselves to death. <3
Also, the winners need to PM me whether they want their new SD hand colored or computerized.

Congratulations to the top three winners and the two runner-ups, and better luck next time to the other participants (because no one is truly a loser)!  There were so many awesome realms submitted for this contest. Creativity combined with their own special vision made each of the realms unique, but there was clearly something special about Durum Veldt, Benyan Riverlands and Niieliye. I'm so excited, I cannot wait to see these new realms, accompanied by the newest Nat-Realm, up and running on the board! Thank you Nat for holding such an incredible event. No doubt it can't have been easy to read every through every single entry, and then have to judge the best from all the amazing possibilities. |
