Syraelia had been here a few times before, having relocated to just outside the city's borders. The hustle and bustle of the middle of the town was sometimes too much for her, but today there was something going on at once of the palaces and so this meant she could walk around fairly easily with breathing space to spare. It almost felt like no time had passed since she first met Peder and Pathos here, and then when she chanced upon the baby Astyana. Times had changed so much but she still felt the same. In fact, she felt free. A little lonely, but still free. Not much ever kept the Torquehelm feline down for long, which was an oddity in and of itself. Glances went by unnoticed now, not that they'd ever bothered her in the past, she just tended to smile back at the curious onlookers. You'd think they'd get used to seeing her region, as they were not rare by any means, but people just liked something to draw their attention now and then it seemed. Dusk had settled in fully, creating a rainbow of romantic reds and purples across the sky. A single star was out, and Syraelia was momentarily captivated by it. Her thick, muscled form stood stock still for a span of minutes before she started moving again. A single shop was just closing down, and she curiously wandered in, picking up a necklace and bumping into a vase with her binded chest. She forgot how those things got in the way sometimes. "Sorry about that!" She said, chuckling and batting golden eyes. Shockingly the man behind the stand did little more than grin and nod his head as she placed the necklace back down and stepped away. There was so much left of the evening and yet she had no idea what she wanted to do.

((Also, she has long fangs, one black eye and one white veiny eye that looks as if it's rolled into the back of her head, and small winglike protrusions from her back that have little skulls on the wing elbows. Scurry! DX)) It was quite a lovely time to be in the marketplace... maybe not for those trying to peddle their wares in the sparse crowd, but for those taking advantage of the fact they were trying to sell what they could before packing up was quite nice. Zuberi had gotten the most wonderful deal on some nice pottery, which she was having padded and put into a box as a Torquelhelm came forward to also peruse the wares. This in itself was not so terribly strange. On some days one could even find an occasional Lowlander coming out of hiding to do some shopping. Still, Zuberi couldn't help but think that the Torquelhelm were quite odd for their habits of binding. She'd rarely voiced that out loud, and certainly not to complete strangers. Out of the corner of her eye, she couldn't help but see the ample bosom bump into and nearly knock over a vase. Obviously even her bindings did little to contain them. Then she did the unthinkable; unable to hold her mirth, she giggled, her webbed hand belatedly flying up to cover her muzzle. Why did she laugh? Well, call her juvenile, but anything involving mishaps with boobies just seemed -hilarious- in her opinion. (Boobies! *giggles*))

((LOL Zuberi for the win))
The torquehelm's ears perked at the sounds of laughter, her eyes furrowed together in confusion before she caught sight of the one laughing. Was she laughing... at her? Syraelia blushed a bit and grinned widely before she looked down at the ropes (what she could see, anyway) that bound her chest. Yes, that had taken a while to get used to, and she was still clumsy with her bound areas.
"S'abit difficult to keep track of these sometimes." She responded, enjoying that at least someone else got a kick out of it. She normally laughed at herself afterwards, but now that it happened so often (you'd think she'd learn) it was more like a routine mishap. There was less feeling in that area as a whole, so often accidental brushings and bumping went entirely unnoticed. Oh well!
The strange woman was... well, strange herself. Sy had never quite seen anyone like her, and while the mutations might have been unnerving to most, maybe it was a Torquehelm thing but Syraelia just took them in stride. Walking over, she gave a friendly wave, eyeing the pottery the woman had almost dropped in her sudden mirth. "Maybe I sh'dnt get too close." She jested, smirking a bit before shaking her head. "I'm glad I didn't cause you to drop those, they're quite nice. My nams'Syraelia." She hadn't been speaking as much lately, especially since after Astyana left she spent so much time alone with no reason to talk to many people. She thought it was starting to show, this would be good practice for her.

Still grinning ear to ear, Zuberi made sure her pottery was secure in her pack. "Good point. As lovely as they are I'd rather not sacrifice me new purchase to dem." Even though her words might be the sort easily misconstrued as flirting, the way she said it seemed... oddly plutonic... like a slightly racy compliment of sorts.
No matter what, Zuberi seemed genuinely relieved that the Torquelhelm hadn't taken offense, smiling warmly holding out a webbed paw in greeting. "Great t'meet ya, Syraelia. Zuberi's the name." She was sure to pronounce every syllable of the woman's name, a habit she'd taken on long ago to help her commit it to memory. She might not always remember the name in the future, but thanks to that blind eye of hers she'd never forget the face. Speaking of her appearance, how lovely it was to talk to someone who didn't cringe at the sight of her! Then again, Torquelhelms were considered strange by many, so it wasn't a far stretch to be extended some level of acceptance by one.

Syraelia wasn't exactly one for the same gender persuasion, so she took the compliment in stride and didn't think much more about it, except that it was very flattering. Despite the unusual-ness of her apprearance, the Midori female was quite attractive herself. The feline had always been fonder of brighter colours than the dark and dreary appearance of those from her realm. Oh well, it kind of came with the shared personality, the one that she had somehow managed to escape. Too bad she couldn't say the same for the rest of her family.
"Zuberi... very nice name. You're from the Midori Beaches aren't you?" Her voice held a tinge of excitement, she'd always wanted to go. Apparently it was the be-all, end-all of vacationing spots. Very laid back and the weather always seemed to agree with the mood of the people. That explained why the woman seemed so chipper, if she had someplace like that to return to, well, she'd probably never be in a bad mood.
"S'what brings you out to the city? As nice as these pots are they can't beat relaxing in the sun." Laughing, she stretched in place, moving her wrists and arms about to lessen the chafe of the magical handcuffs which tinkered in a musical way when she moved them. The rest of the bindings she did well not to loosen, because despite how she felt about her region's beliefs, it made her mother happy when she returned home, still properly bound up. And if that small action lessened the depression the woman lived with, well, Syraelia was more than happy to do it. Maybe it was the mutations that she carried herself, but strangely enough the woman before her didn't seem at all, even in the slightest, intrigued or bothered by her unusual... decorations.

"Guilty as charged!" Zuberi exclaimed with a most mirthful giggle. She hadn't missed the change of tone in Syraelia's voice, and if her eyes were still capable of showing much of her emotion in them, they might have been flashing with that cunning look before she threw a pitch about how wonderful Midori beach was and how people should come to visit. The next question distracted her from doing so. "Oh, well you see I'm not from the main city in Midori... I'm from one of the little villages that still do a lot of things the old way. Having running water and electricity was actually a most recent addition, an only in the larger of buildings." Zuberi seemed oddly proud of this fact. "So when it comes righ' down to it, I have to go elsewhere for some of the finer amenities, and you'll always be findin' it cheaper in the Capital than in Midori."
Zuberi quite liked this individual; she was by far the most cheerful Torq she'd ever met, and admittedly with quite interesting bindings. They didn't get many Torquelhelms in Midori for obvious reasons, but then again she wasn't without some experience in dealing with them. "But even without all the hustle and bustle of the city, it's a great place to take a vacation, especially if you're really wanting to see the -heart- of Midori and you're not too keen on buying shells with googly eyes glued onto them.... but my uncle still makes them if you must have one!" She all but whispered that last comment for a comical effect, arching a brow with a grin. "Then again he ships them to the city to be sold; it's generally.. discouraged for him to attempt to sell them at market!" Hah! Uncles... everyone had one.. and if they didn't, they at least knew of one that acted like 'that uncle'.

As the feline listened to the explanation, she crossed her arms and squinted her eyes. "Really? That's terrible, it must be a huge pain in the ass for everyone there, but of course, if you can exploit someone based on their need... why not? Money talks." She shook her head and smirked, remembering the advertising paper she'd read about the beaches which were unusually eager for visitors it seemed. Well, that might be why. Of course, that didn't dissuade her from wanting to go some day, there were money obsessive dodgy characters everywhere, some were just more straightforward and obvious about it than others.
The cheerful aura about the female was admittedly a bit confusing considering her appearance. Although Syraelia was a bit of a dunce when it came to magic, she did know that people who had the mutations Zuberi did often didn't have them by choice... perhaps she just took an unfortunate mishap very well. It didn't look bad on her anyway, and not many people would be able to pull it off so well. "I... hadn't heard about those." Her thoughts were interrupted by the comical coment enough to bring about a surprised burst of laughter. She had a flair for the dramatics this one, she was a walking talking add for Midori with how she carried on. Probably pretty popular where she came from, too.
"Now he sounds like an interesting character, if I ever get up enough money to go perhaps you could show me around and I could meet the famous googly eye clam man." She could barely bite down another roll of laughter, just picturing what kind of person he would be. It certainly had to be in the genes, or whatever they partook of on the beaches. Oh, she'd heard stories, and all of them made her grin at the least.
