When Haret finally came home from her overnight stay in the Capital City, she was tired but well pleased with her purchases. Not including the gifts for her girls, she had a lovely little present for Aroha; she hadn’t expected to return with so much and she was having to balance very carefully to keep the leashes from tangling with either her legs or around her arms. She didn’t want to have any accidents now that she had finally returned to their little home. She stepped cautiously through the door, calling out softly, ”Aroha, girls, I’m home.” She tugged on Boo’s leash as the female was a great deal more interested in something outside even as Spot was quite gung-ho about getting into the house and exploring. Or taking over, Haret wasn’t entirely certain which and she tried to not be overly worried by that thought even as the male coughed loudly and pulled again. She headed towards the main sitting room, hoping the others would come find her there as she was still struggling with all of the gifts. It didn’t take long for Kare to come trotting down into the room curiously. She froze at the threshold, sending the mommy here a curious look before focusing back on the bandersnatches with wide, pink eyes that obviously bespoke of some excitement and some trepidation.

Thin beams of sunlight were glistening extravagantly off of Aroha's latest piece for the Court of Hearts when she heard her love's voice call from the entrance to their humble abode. She was positioned outside on their deck that overlooked the sharp, jagged cliff face of Villa en Miir, manipulating and hollowing out precious stones into the intricate details of a fiddle. It helped that the deck, itself, was made directly into the rocks, almost appearing to jut and grow out of it. Her people lived as a part of the land and she took great pride in that culture. The jade accents sparkled in their silver settings all about her body, but the vixen paid no mind to them. A wide smile stretched across the soft, violet of her fur. Even though thirty-six hours had barely past, Aroha couldn't help the excitement she felt at knowing Haret was home again. A murr slipped delicately past her lips as she made one final tweak to their instrument before the blue swirls that surrounded her creation set it down gingerly. Only after her work was safe did the female's vivid blues focus towards the door. At the same moment, she lifted herself off the ground and twisted her way gracefully out the door in one fluid motion. Each step of her legs set a sway throughout her entire body, reverberating all the way down to her tail, which curved back and forth in a sensual manner. The faint glow that surrounded her dulled only slightly when she paced into the shelter of their home and down the stairs. There was a railing, but Aroha didn't care to grasp it. Her balance was exquisite. Still, her hands could not keep themselves still as she moved, opting to caress the obvious curves alone her corseted waist almost unconsciously. M'love! Her smooth, musical voice called affectionately, those deep blues sparkling the instant she caught sight of the Torque canine. She took in a sharp, though muted breath and rolled her tongue teasingly. All's you do is walk through the door and you still manage to take my breath away. A classic foxie grin spreads infectiously through her, but she softens as she approaches the other woman, swooping in through the leashes and banders with an intent to gather Haret up in a warm embrace. You've brought back friends I see. Only when she mentions them, does she gaze directly upon them, murring lightly and extending out her palm for them to sniff and inspect. They'd probably smell Meezer on her, the devious sand point that ruled the roost. It would only be a matter of time before the overly demanding female would realize a trespasser was in her domain and come to investigate. Meanwhile, Belladona was curled in a little ball in their girl's bedroom, napping, when her mother returned. If one were to see her in passing, they might think she was quiet peaceful. Unfortunately, the girl was anything but. Even at rest, she was trapped in the depths of her own mind. Waking or sleeping, it didn't matter. Her life was a living nightmare, with only a hazy barrier between consciousness and the world beyond. Often times, she'd wake without realizing the transition at all. Only on rare occasions, which were becoming in less frequently, did the child ever experience something akin to peace of mind. She never really had true clarity or freedom from her fears, but some moments were much better than others. This time, the shout startled her so greatly in the otherwise quiet house, that she woke screaming, NOO!!! Don't! Please don't! And leap to her paws with a start. Before her eyes had time to adjust, her limbs propelled her forwards at a dizzying rate, propelling her straight into the wall with a painful crunch. Deep in the back of her mind, a voice cackled sinisterly, though it made no further indication of it's presence. An icy burst of fear raced down her spin in response, matched by the fire of pain. She yelped lightly, partially out of shock, partially out of fear and a little out of pain. Where were they? They were coming for her. They'd find her this time. She knew it! What was she going to do?! Kare! She bellowed desperately. Oh please! Say she's alright. Where was she?! Did they take her?! She whined loudly, rising to her feet and wheeling backwards to keep from running into the wall again. It took her a few seconds for her eyes to find the door, but she hesitated not a second longer. Her disproportionately large puppy paws thudded across the floor clumsily as she darted into the hall and almost collided with the other side. Thankfully, her room was a bit back from the stairs, so else she might have crashed right into the banister, and maybe even gone through it. Her muscles ached from the first collision, but she kept running. Was she too late? Zephyr couldn't help but shiver as the image of that pale-eyed figure played before her eyes again, surrounded in a green-pink fog. Just the menacing determination it exuded made her want to vomit. Kare?! She called again, salty fluid spilled out of the corners of her eyes as she practically fell down the stairs. Then she collapsed at the base and she froze completely for one tantalizing second before her mouth opened wide, lips pulling back to bare her teeth and her whole body started to convulse.

Aroha was one to talk; Haret had the same trouble with her breath when the sensuous fox came gliding around the corner. Her hands clenched in the leashes as the only way to keep from dropping them and thus letting the two new banders escape into the house to get into who knew what sort of antics. The Ville's grace was just another part of Haret's attraction to the other woman. When the fox slipped next to her, Haret couldn't stop herself from leaning just slightly into the woman so the line of their bodies met almost fully down the length of their black and purple fur. She happily breathed in the scent of her mate watching as the fox let her hands down for the banders to inspect.
Kare's head jerked up as she heard the first scream. Oh, no! She hadn't expected her sister to wake up just yet. Before she could get moving, however, the sounds of fear were followed by a number of collisions and then the other kit was spilling down the stairs. Kare hurried to her sister's side, running her nose unhappily along the girl's jaw and murmuring very softly under her breath so only Belladonna could hear her, "It's all right now, I'm here."
