The doe walked down the hallway at an achingly even pace, her legs protesting her every move. Her sword was sheathed on her back and she looked a tad bit worn out, her breath still coming in slight panting gasps even now that she was inside out of the warm sun. When she'd just started to finally relax, she heard it- a curdling scream coming from behind a door just up the hallway. She pinpointed which side and about how far up and bolted for it. Not stopping when she got there, her arm moving before her body reached the door to swing it open with her momentum, so that she could throw herself in through the opening. She almost tripped on the sudden appearance of stairs, but regained her feet just in time to fly down them. She didn't have much going through her mind, except someone could be in trouble. After the power shift, it would make sense for people to start challenging positions, but so soon? Someone was either ambitious, or in a sticky situation that might require her help. She was no Queen, but the powerful doe had a few tricks up her sleeve. And a pointy sword. That always helped. "Is everything alright?" She commented, her voice registering surprise and breathlessness when she reached the bottom step. Not only was there only one person in the room, but he looked absolutely fine. Ohhhh how her legs ached now... at least she'd gotten a good workout today, a bit extra than she'd been expecting. Crazy scientists.

Severus had been working in his lab, when suddenly the mixture in the couldren didn't like the timing of addition of the ingrediants, the fact that something wasn't pure, or something else of that nature and so decided to explode. Corrosive acid equal to that of sulfuric acid splashed everywhere. Usually he was not this absent minded in his work, but today his mind had been elsewhere, and today he messed up when he really shouldn't have. The blood curdling scream came from a rather large gob of the concoction that had landed on Severus' arm. Another from the fact that many of his most valuble things were now disintigrating into nothing. He quickly pulled off his top robes and tried to wipe off as much as he could, running to the sink and putting water on the corroding wound. Fuck did that smart like nothing he had ever felt before. He cursed himself for not paying closer attention. But once the wound had been sufficently dealt with enough to know there woudl be no further damage...it was off to save whatever he could from being eaten by the chemicals. He ran around his lab, topless, and like a madman, raving curses and just generally yelling at himself for his utter stupidity. He mopped up what he could with his already eaten away clothes, washed what he could. In the end, he salvaged alot, but not without alot of sacrifice. At any rate he had managed the problem quickly and expertly. Now he was just angry. He had a gaping wound in his arm, and part of his lab was destroyed. He shreiked in anger throwing his clothes at the other side of the room, beside himself with self loathing for his stupid and horrible mistake. It was then that he heard a voice, and the morganberry doe came into view. His face became bloodless, and suddenly he was very...very pale. There he was...for the doe to see, completely and utterly topless, and in his most embarrassing and shameful moment. He just stared at her. His embarrassment engulfing him completely and utterly, to the point where for once, he had no idea what to do. His body was thin, lanky, his fur ruffled, and his arm was bloody and raw. His ribs rose and fell with his breathing in a sickeningly visible manner. She might not know why it was such a big deal to have seen him so...naked (though he began to thank the suits profusely that he still had pants)...but Severus was an extremely prude human being...or well deer/snake being. This was the most humiliating moment in his entire life...he was sure. "Get out..." he choked, his words soft and inaudible as the words were forced out of his tightened vocal cords.

Oh...wow. The crazy chemist began to rip off his clothes suddenly, wiping off a substance that seemed to be eating through them, and when she spotted the gaping wound on his arm, she started in surprise. So That's what had caused the scream. Whatever he'd mis-mixed, it had been bad timing indeed. She felt bad not being able to do anything, but she was no healer, and no chemist, and would probably have just gotten in the way or caused further damage. When finally it seemed the situation was under control, it was all she could do to stand there and blink.
Before she could think of anything to say, he had spoken, and he didn't seem very happy with the situation in its entirity. She didn't know why he was so upset and shaken up, but something was bothering him deeply. Sekhmet could only assume he was embarassed that she'd seen him mess up, as the K on his chest indicated that he was an important person she'd yet to meet, and this probably wasn't how he intended for most of his meetings with other court nobles to go.
"You need to clean that out and bandage it." She said lamely, not knowing what else to do. The way he spoke, he seemed a little... sensitive, and she wondered then if being a little more robed might help the confidence that seemed to have escaped him for the moment. Glancing around, she saw a piece of black material, probably previous tablecloths for whatever the basement room had been before it was a laboratory. He hadn't bothered to remove them, but the dust on top showed he wasn't using them either. Shaking one off, she walked towards the shaken man and handed it to him.
"This place is freezing." She offered by means of explanation, hoping he didn't think she was trying to cover him up or insulting his physique. He wasn't as... thick as she liked her men, but he wasn't a monster. Just, generally, nobody liked to be naked in front of strangers. She tore a strip off of the material quickly and walked over to the sink he'd previously been using. The cloth would need to be much cleaner before going anywhere near the wound, all that dust would just make things worse. As she rinsed it off, without glancing back over her shoulder, she decided to ask if he happened to have any disinfectant supplies.
"Do you have anything down here to disinfect that with? I can go get something for you, if not." She assumed she'd be met with more histility despite her actions, but it made sense. In such a vulnerable position, she would have acted the same. She would have gotten over it eventually however, hopefully he was of a similar outlook. He didn't seem quite the kind to laugh it off, but if she could at least keep him from freaking out at her and calm, they could perhaps accomplish enough so that his arm wouldn't fall off. She knew of chemists and scientists and their dedication to their work. If she left now, he'd probably spend the rest of the day trying to correct his mistake, until his arm festered and put him in a fever, that is.

[OOC: Severus is planning to murder me XD...HAHA] He wanted to scream as she looked him up and down. Upon his face was plastered a look similar to that of a deer caught in the headlights, and still he couldn't manage to say anything or move. All that seemed to move about him at all was the rapid and disturbed rising and falling of his ribcage, indicating that he was panicing slightly. How could she have gotten in at all! He almost always bolted his door shut! Figures the one day that he fucks up royally is the day he forgets to lock the door properly. Another thing to curse at himself about. He wasn't sure how to make the situation better. He just simply couldn't believe that he had actually fucked up that badly in front of someone, been so completely unprofessional...and was now (at least in his mind) completely naked. He tried restoring his cold and stern usual demenor...but he was far to embarrassed to be able to do much of anything. All visible surfaces of skin were burning red from a bodywide blush. But he couldn't stay so completely embarrassed forever, soon his mood changed...and he was furious. "I AM FULLY AWARE." he snapped at the female when she mentioned the wound on his arm. What did she think he was??? An idiot??? The made up insult coursed through his veins. His rise in blood pressure only seeming to cause the wound to be far more painful and bleed much more then it was previously. He closed his eyes and tried to calm down a little bit. He didn't need to loose all control. Well...he already had...but he didn't need to loose it anymore then he already had. He took a couple of deep breaths, and opened his eyes once again. When he did, the woman had exclaimed that the place was cold, handing him a piece of cloth that he had lying around. He looked at the offering for a moment, before reaching out a lanky arm and grabbing it from her hands, maybe a little to roughly then would be appreciated. Calm, Severus....calm. He quickly rapped it around his body in what would look like a poorly crafted toga, so that his arms would be free while they worked on patching up his arm. They? Feh, HE would work on fixing his arm. He cursed silently, mumbling to himself. He wished he could cover himself more properly. All he had to do was go from animal to bipedal again, then his clothing would be restored. But in front of a fellow King...(GUH...a King had seen him fuck up that badly...and one he hadn't met yet either)...as well as the fact that he wasn't sure how the wound would affect his animal form, he was less inclinded to do that. So for now the badly crafted toga would have to do. He had been distracted by his own thoughts. He shook his head a bit before answering her question...conciderably more calm...and a little....less distressed now that he was 'properly' clothed. "Of course..." he moved to look at his shelves and shelves of ingrediants, grabbing the rolling ladder and rolling it to the location he needed to before climbing almost all the way up it. He grabbed a jar and brought it down. It looked like some sort of Aloe like plant that had been cut up and mushed into a rather discusting looking slop. He unscrewed the lid and put a hand in, before spreading a nice amount over the wound. His eyes contorted with pain, and he let a groan escape his lips, but he knew the solution would make it better. He just had to keep applying it every so often.

She only raised an eye when he snapped at her, which was just as well because he probably couldn't see her expression anyway. He certainly was being hard on himself to get so stressed out over one accident. It could have been a lot worse, in her opinion, and nobody was perfect all the time. But she, too, knew the standards one in the courts could hold for themselves were equally as damaging sometimes as those others kept for them. Even her successes seemed like failures if she felt she could have done better, regardless of whether or not it was logically feasible to expect that of herself.
"That's good." She responded shortly afterwards, her tone not rude in the least, but rather careful and painfully neutral. Not wanting him to have anything else to go off on, she decided to save her sarcastic humour for someone who deserved it. As she felt for the King, she was trying her best to behave herself. She had intended to meet and greet all of the other court royals sometime in the near future, but not this near, and not exactly in this fashion either... Ah well, getting a jump start on things was never a bad idea. Except, she had a feeling if she said that out loud, the man might just explode a gasket at her.
"I know little about chemicals, but I assume that's probably already caused all the damage it's going to?" She asked, watching him pull down a rather... interesting looking jar of salve-like healing aloe, or so it appeared to her. It just so happened she also knew only the most basic of things about medicine, and she was pretty positive that stuff wasn't court standard. Obviously a personal concoction, and she was intrigued as to how well it would work. As soon as he had gotten a good amount on, she considered leaving, but as she was already here... well she was a bit curious about what he'd been trying to do or make.
"I suppose I should introduce myself. I'm Sekhmet, I'm His Majesty Shinrai's current King but I assume he will be finding more soon enough." She didn't want to ask who Severus served, in case he was currently 'in limbo' so to say. It probably created ruffled feathers to parade that kind of achievement around to another aspiring King who hadn't quite impressed a Queen enough yet to be personally taken on. But chances were equally possible that he had been serving Serafino and was now just waiting to be... redirected, so to say.
