The little rat was curious, father wasn't here, mother and Cappy were busy ... thus it was the perfect time to get in some exploring. He slunk down the hall away from Aphasia's quarters, something he'd been practicing lately, and stopped at the end of the hall. He straightened up, pricked his ears forward and turned to the door .... nothing .... awesome! With that he forgot all about slinking, turned the corner and took off. He still wasn't entirely used to the bit of resistance the stretchy wire connecting his cuffs gave him, so his gait was a little... off, but really he didn't care much about that. It was rare that he got out by himself and he planned on enjoying every moment of it. Maybe he'd run into some of the older kids that he'd seen around? That might be fun. His little naked tail curled up into a half loop at the thought. Certainly they were more entertaining then his sister, right? [[ So don't need anymore threads, but he demands to be played, lol. ]]

Spy Cady slid against the wall, her eyes flitting back and forth as she watched the shadows, prepared to do anything that Needed to be Done to any enemies of the Court that might come skulking through, thinking there was no defense. But lo! Spy Cady was there, ready to protect her family from peril and danger! Hark! Paws and claws, making noise against the floor! Somebody was coming! Another spy, sent to map the layout of the Court? A rogue assassin, paid to come and murder? Or a thief, ready to come and steal valuables to sell to unwary victims? Spy Cady was prepared for any possibility! The ferret scuttled forward a few feet so she could peer around the corner, then immediately pounced on her unsuspecting victim without a moment's hesitation. "I've got you now, evil villain! Surrender or face Spy Cady's wrath!"

He relaxed even more as he made it further and further away from his mother's room. Freedom, sweet, sweet freedom! But now... .where could he be off to? Hmm. He knew there were other kids lurking about, his aunt and uncle's, only a bit older then him, were around here somewhere he'd been told. Maybe he could find one of them? Maybe ...
And a weight hit him, pulling a little ratty squeal of fright from him throat as he wiggled, trying to get away from the unknown source of terror. He froze, eyes wide and tail stiff until he realized what was going on. Mmhmm, the description matched... this was definitely one of the family members he'd been warned about. Mmmm, Spy Cady? A game mayhaps? Awesome.
He relaxed again, a little grin appearing on his muzzle as he peered at his captor.
Wrath, eh? Take this!
He curled his tail around and made the effort to try and tickle her side.... hopefully she was ticklish... if not... he'd have to re-think the situation a bit.

Spy Cady laughed in triumph, though the sound came out less terrorizing than she'd intended. She wrapped herself around her victim's torso, grabbing at whatever limbs were within reach to make the escape much less likely. "Yes! I'm a very threatening individual!" She replied spiritedly.
She frowned at the sensation against her side, then burst into furious giggles that didn't subside until she released him and rolled to her side next to him. Twitching from the sensation, she peered over at him suspiciously. "You don't look much like an assassin or a thief or a spy. Maybe if you died your fur a lighter color?" Cady offered up, then scooted around until she was able to sit up. Casually, she began washing one of her paws while keeping an eye on him in case he decided to run. Out of experience with her brothers, she knew very well that captured theives, assassins and spies tended to bolt for the hills at their first opportunity.

He flailed as she wrapped herself around him and it made him feel good that his sister didn't play like this, she had the same body style and he could see it getting old fast. But for now.... it was fun ... especially when she collapsed into a fit of giggles. Haha!
He rolled onto his feet and shook out his fur, taking a moment to put his dextrous toes to use and put his mane back exactly how it should be before tilting his head to the side and twitching his little whiskers at her for a moment.
Dye his fur? That sounded like more effort then he wanted to contribute to the game. He curled his tail up in a happy little shape as a thought crossed his mind .... he didn't need to dye his fur, he was just fine as he was.
Hmmm, what if I only tried to spy or assassin at night? Then you'd need to dye your fur!
A little grin curled onto his muzzle ... how would she like that?

Spy Cady watched the rat warily. Corvies were simply not to be trusted! (She would know, she was related to plenty of them, and they were all sneaky little devils.) They tried to weasel their way out of trouble all the time, and she was simply not going to have any of it. The ferret stood up and began pacing back and forth in front of him, an imperial expression on her face.
"How do you know I don't have an invisibility power, huh?" She replied in the manner of captor-to-captured, with just a touch of condescension to her tone. "Maybe I can make all my fur black with just a thought. Huh? Huh? What do you say to that?" She smirked, her nose tilted up slightly. It never occurred to her that he'd seen her rank marking and maybe he'd infer that she had next to no magical abilities whatsoever - after all, her brothers were capable of quite a bit, so why couldn't she be?

His tail curled up into it's happy shape as he watched her. Oh yes, he'd definitely found someone amusing hadn't he? He couldn't keep the little smirk of his face as she spoke either, this was just too good.
Invisibility? Well ... you didn't use it in your initial attack, where it would be most effective, so I doubt you could do that. And as for turning black ... you told me I don't look like a spy because my fur is too dark .... why would you say that if you could do it?
He tilted his head to the side ever so slightly, a little bit of his comb-overed bangs falling in front of his eye as he peered at her curiously. He didn't mean to sound matter of fact and know it all, really, but that's exactly how it came out, tone and everything. He'd spend far too much time around Grandma and Uncle Boston for good social skills.
