It'll be a few more days before I'm around, so I'm posting this here as an official warning.
My best friend's sister is in the hospital. Her appendix burst and they didn't realize it until days after (it just seemed like a bad case of the flu). They did immediate emergency surgery on her - they wouldn't even transfer her to the better hospital, that's how critical it was - and ended up doing a Y cut on her just to get access to all the damage. She was doing better but she's starting to vomit again so it's... it's really not looking good.
I'm going to be spending a lot of time with my friend and on Tuesday I'm driving her to her grandma's so she can hopefully see her sister asap - I'll be dawdling online but I don't have the emotional energy to really handle a whole lot right now.

o.o Oh CRAP. That's horrible and awful! I hope she gets better soon and I'm glad you can be there for your friend.

Oh my fucking god. Getting a Y cut is only something you should ever have after you DIE. o.O;; That would seriously freak my shit out.
I am SO SORRY. I know I'm a complete stranger to both your best friend and her sister, but would you tell her a complete stranger is absolutely keeping both of them in her prayers and thoughts?
[hugs you] I'm really glad your best friend has you to help her get through this!

Oh my god, I am... I am so sorry.
I remember when my Dad's appendix burst. Thank EVERYTHING he was already in the hospital. They were getting ready to discharge him because he put on a front and made like everything was fine. Then, laying in bed and waiting for Mom to come and pick him up, he felt it. Ten minutes later, they were prepping him for surgery. The poison is just so... nasty.
Eff. Bad memories. I'm so sorry. *HUGS YOU TIGHT* Your friend and her family are in my thoughts, as are you.
