I'm new to this kind of role-playing, though I've certainly done RPGs before. I've actually been on a lurker on the site for a few months before joining and one of the things that prevented me from joining up was that the application gave a favorite breed and realm, instead of hoped-for-personality. So, instead of giving a list of types of animals and realms, I'll give the sorta guy I'm looking for. I hope that's okay.

I'm looking for a guy who cares about honor and chivalry, who might be a guardian of someone or something like that.

One nice thing about the site is that any character you get is able to become anyone you want them to; you really are not bound by the 'usual' characteristics of the creatures realm, nor by the bit of starter flavor-text you get with the character. That's just to help give you ideas and is open to interpretation and to change over time. Even a lowlander would be able to find honor if you plot it that way and give them some rp experiences or backstory to send them down that path.

One possible direction is to let your character become a guard for the palace of his suit or a member of the capital police force if you want to be in an existing 'protecting' organization, but the options are pretty much unlimited.

Ah, not to worry, the Realm and Breed set-ups are there to show stereotypes, not the necessary must for every person of the Realm.
You can have eerily freakish and intelligent Midoris just as easily as you can have a stupid and lazy Morganberry, anyone can be an exception to the rule and be played in any manner.
The setups are there so that people can see and get a feel for what is the normal, usual atmosphere for someone born and raised in that Realm or what the Breeds tend toward; as opposed to a strict "rule" it's more a form of guidelines for you to base your original character around the everyman.

I think I have just the gent for you, he's been sitting in storage ever since this summer and I've been waiting to get him out there.
I'll have him up in a quick run, let me get him.
