It would be my pleasure to escort you.
She dipped her head politely before turning herself in the direction of the fountain, hoping sonata would give up this suspicion that something was hiding in the shadows and come along with them. being around her brother as often as she was, her patience had grown beyond it's natural bounds, at least she thought so.
That was until something huge and strange came roaring out of the shadows, that is. Her eyes widened and her limbs went stiff with fear as she stared at the thing.
Sonata had been expecting someone to appear, not something. and the manner it appeared in scared the everliving snot right out of her. The Badger/Lion leapt up into the air, puffed out her fur and ran toward the group of Avingtons before skidding to a stop and whipping around. Feeling a little more confident with a bit of distance between herself and it, she assumed a defensive position and waved her tufted tail around behind her. What on earth was that thing? She'd never seen anything like it.
Through her fear there was one thing that spoke to Yantai, and that was the pathetic moan the thing made after it's voice cracked and it started to deflate. She had no idea what it was, maybe a corvie experiment gone wrong? but that sound it had made tugged at her. Her limbs loosened up and she slowly walked toward it, her voice shaky but otherwise still it's same soft, gentle tone.
You're hurt, aren't you?

The faces. They came -alive-. Delaney's maw opened but no screams came out, instead merely making quick and panicked noises as her breath tore in and out of her chest. Lightheaded. Hyperventilating. Eryn was already telling her it was okay. But this was not okay.
This was the worst thing to ever happen to her. Ever. She wanted her mother. Hell! She'd take her -father- right now if it meant she could get out of this nightmare. All the atrocious things the man had done in his life seemed less horrifying when things were coming to life, the shadows, that Delaney had been told all her life would not happen.
Keitha acted immediately, stepping forward with her head lowered, overgrown horns presented before her and ready to defend herself and her sisters. But the thing wasn't attacking. Damn idiot stranger.. picking fights. "Guys. Lets just… back away slowly.."
Even with her calm reserve, Keitha could feel her heart pounding. This was horrible. Almost as horrible as some of the things she knew.

Calm. Eryn knew she had to be calm, for the sake of her sister.
But when she was faced with something that unnatural, it was hard. Her eyes briefly flickered fear as she registered the beast that had appeared, and then she went very still. Things flashed through her, but it was not nearly as cohesive as her visions normally were. In this, all that she felt was emotion. Fear and pain warred with a profound sense of regret, the most intense she had ever felt. It was strong enough that when she came back to herself she let out a soft gasp, staggering to regain her balance.
As scared as she was, it was not nearly as bad as it had been before. In addition to what she'd seen, the thing seemed to be injured. She looked at her siblings, then ahead at the Tulgey mix, who seemed to be intent on protecting them. "I think... I don't think it wants to hurt us," she said quietly, swallowing and managing to barely keep her voice steady. She brushed against Keitha reassuringly, taking another step forward and ending up in front of the other girl, beside the Lioness hybrid.
She stared at the other girl oddly, head cocked to the side. Then, deliberately, she stepped forward again, bringing her even closer to the creature. She walked with Yantai, glad that she was not alone in this... endeavor.
"We won't hurt you," she tried to soothe, ears laying back and feathers fluffing. "Do you need help? Things got out of your control, didn't they?"

((The monster shudders, ink splattering everywhere around it as something reddish...blood? Drizzles from its face and eyes.
"Caaaaarrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnn'tttt shhhheeeeeeeee.........Rrrrraaaaaaggggghhhhhhh!!!!!!" It bellows, spraying the children with flecks of red and black.
It pushed itself forward, hissing and wriggling, its body seeming to strain just to stay together. Something stretches out of it...almost like an arm. "Shhhhhheeeeeee.....haaaaarllllllppppp."))

Every bone in Eryn's body shook. She wanted so badly to run away, but...
But regrets spoke louder than anything else. She knew some of what her father had done, and how little of it he even cared about. The same went for her mother. Both of them.... Both of them looked like normal, upstanding people. This creature looked like an absolute horror, but what it felt made her pity it. As she got closer to it, it became obvious that it was bleeding. Or at least doing something a whole lot like bleeding. Its words confirmed her fears, and she hunched down slightly, bouncing a few steps closer.
"I'm right here, don't be startled," she said softly, glancing back at her sisters. Her gaze begged them not to tell their parents about this - something in her assumed they wouldn't approve. Victor might, but she couldn't be sure. "Lean on me, we'll get you to help, we will." She shuddered, already anticipating how terrible it would feel to have the ink slopping through her feathers... But it couldn't be helped.
"What happened to you?" she asked softly, trying not to look at it for too long.

The Deer/Vermin was glad not to be alone as well, and welcomed the presence of the young owl. In fact, it made her convictions to help the creature even stronger and chased her fears away. It wasn't just her that was being a sappy soul, which meant the thing before them really was in trouble.
She didn't even flinch when it splattered her and Eryn's coats with flecks of red and black, the noises and words tugging at her heart strings all the more. Was it.... was it dying? Would they have to sit and watch as this poor creature breathed ti's last breath? She hoped not, but if it did .... it wasn't going to die alone.
When what appeared to be an arm appeared, she stepped forward and nudged her nose against it gently, almost like a nuzzle and definitely in the realms of reassuring. The waver in her voice finally gone.
Shhh, calm down. We're right here, no one's going to hurt you.
She then started to hum a little melody that she remembered her father humming back when they were all little and he was trying to get them to stop crying. Maybe the comfort she'd gotten as a wee little one would translate over into this poor, ailing creature.
Sonata stared at the two with open-mouth disbelief. Really? They were just going to march over there and not only talk to it, but comfort it? She closed her mouth and looked back at the two other sisters, her pink eyes still wide.
Are they absolutely mad, or what?

(( The monster swayed and bellowed, the limb the tiny Owl tried to grasp about as truly tangible as sap and drizzling into her feathers, but unable to touch or actually hold onto her. It bellowed again, clearly in some kind of pain as ink and reddish foam sprayed over all three girls currently at the monster's side.
Sonata and Yantai began to feel odd, tingling sensations running through them, before both crumpled to the ground in pain; writhing as they changed. Yantai felt searing pain all over her head and upper body as a bright red mane began to sprout all along her scalp, while antlers ripped their way through the flesh. Her shoulders are an agony as fully sized, pale white wings also tore out of her body.
Sonata's entire form crouched over as a similar agony caused her scalp to burn while her shoulders screamed in a rending, tearing mess. Silver spikes of metal ripped out of her flesh and hovered a few inches over the surface...almost like glowing, outlines of tiny wings...that cannot carry her, for how pretty they are, such a shame. Horns tear their way out of her head as her eyes begin to leak copiously...some strange blue-ish fog... Once a week, she can see five minutes into her own future with this fog, otherwise, it hampers her vision a bit and is just annoying and decorative.
The monster schlupps its self backward to avoid engulfing the Owl and wails. "No, no! Sssssssssoooooooorrryyyyy, not who.....not who.......ARRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHH!!!"))~Nathalia

It really was dying, wasn't it? Right before their eyes whatever, or whoever this was was slowly fading from existence and there was nothing any of them could do about it. She didn't flinch when the ink and foam splashed her, just closed her eyes .... until the burning sensation began and caught her off guard. The mane's growth wasn't so bad, it was tolerable, but the wings and those antlers? They brought her down to her knees with a cry that was a mixture of pain and surprise.
Instantly the creature apologized though, and the pain that was still radiating in her head and shoulders wasn't quite enough to pull her away from the creature.... despite having been mutated by it. She lifted her head, trying to adjust to the extra weight as she peered up at the ink beast, scooting her body closer and curling her long tail around it as best she could.
It's ok, I promise I'm not upset, or hurt. It's ok.
And, in a gesture to not only reassure herself of this statement, but to try and further calm the creature in what might be it's last breaths to come, she started to sing the lullaby she'd been humming before. She sung it in Sorgaire, it sounded so much prettier that way... .despite the fact that she had a mediocre singing voice, and scooted herself as close as she could to the creature. She just couldn't get her mind to consider it a monster, or a beast.... those just simply didn't apologize.... did they?
Sonata on the other hand, didn't fair as well as Yantai had. The Tulgey/Villa crumpled to the ground, the burning of her scalp soon forgotten completely when the metal came tearing out of her shoulders. She dug at the cobblestones with her large claws, a gift from her badger heritage, and let loose a scream of pure agony. Those metal wing like things and the horns had just been too much, but when her eyes started leaking and her vision dimmed a bit? She flopped over onto her side, breathing heavy.
It was a little too much to take in all at once and she just.... needed a little time to put herself back together and let her shoulders and her head stop screaming. Besides.... the blue fog that now clung to her line of vision was almost... .comforting at this point in time. Almost.

Keitha jumped back with her hair on end when the two girls transformed. What the hell was that about?? Not that it was… bad. They didn't seem hurt. The lithe pink rodent looked absolutely stunning. Her sister? Badass. Her head tilted to the side curiously.
The blood was horrifying, but slowly she began to realize that the creature seemed almost frightened, having went through great effort to bend away from her sister instead of toppling onto her. No.. not afraid of them. Perhaps afraid he'd hurt them.
"Eryn.. for the love of the Queen, step away from it. Even if it doesn't mean any harm…"
"Is it magic?"
Keitha looked back with some level of surprise to see that Delaney wasn't rolling in her own urine, having a stroke or some other sort of condition. The girl still had her tail tucked between her legs but she gave it a halfhearted wag.
"He's like magic jelly." Another tail wag. Well, at least she wasn't afraid of it any more.

((The monster seemed to hiss and steam a little, though not hot to the touch as it gazed hopelessly around at them all. It then seemed to slope over Yantai's form, gingerly leaking itself around her in a bizarre and horrible pantomime of a hug. When it slips back, body parts seem to have sloughed out of it onto her!))
One per Dealer:
Tamis's Stomach 12: Covered in black, inky slime, it oozes everywhere and tingles a little to the touch...wonder what would happen if all 15 pieces were assembled? (These pieces could all be brought together to create either an item, potion, or familiar. The Dealer would need all 15 pieces (all beginning with "Tamis"), each of them being worth about 50p apiece. Feel free to trade them about. The maximum number of dealers this can be split between is two, but it will be less potent.)
Tamis's Tibia 14: Covered in black, inky slime, it oozes everywhere and tingles a little to the touch...wonder what would happen if all 15 pieces were assembled?
