(( Oh NO! Yasmin appears to have been consumed in the smoke beast and borne away, screaming for help. Give chase and evacuate all you can, leave them with a trustworthy Leveret that isn't your blade-tailed companion...you'll more than likely need her to help you get back your Doe, won't you, Anubis?
Your goal is to head after the retreating beats across hills until reach the Highlands and Aleah. Maybe he can help you?))

As soon as he was nearly there, Yasmin disappeared into the ether with the shadow beast a second before the apparition was dispatched by the leverets tail. A gut-wrenching scream erupted from his maw.
"YOU!" He pointed at the leveret. "Come with me, we need to kill these bastards and get my Doe back." Fury and panic began to set in as he rushed through the Warren. Shouting rough orders and in the end, leaving the remainder of his Warren with Maezia, one of the only ones who seemed to have a clear head.
The thought of the three monsterous beasts still in the area worried and he wasn't entirely sure of what to do. Then he saw them, flanked by the lesser beasts starting to retreat towards the hills. They have Yasmin. . . This only thought going through his head drove him forward with Maeve in tow.

Maeve stared. And stared. Had she...killed her? The smoke creature had only been hovering over her when Maeve had swung her tail, but by the time the blade had cut through the creature... Maeve started to hyperventilate.
And then the Jack was turning on her, and she flinched, because surely this was it, but he didn't murder her in a pique of rage, and she saw the second smoke creature--the one who had actually grabbed the doe, it would seem--making a rapid retreat, crying bundle intact and struggling weakly.
Maeve released a shaky breath, dizzy with relief, and followed him without a murmur of protest. She didn't know how they could hope to track it down, and with the doe still alive, but at least Maeve wasn't responsible.
She trotted after the Jack, not bothering to glance back at what was left of the crumbling warran behind her. They would manage, and even if they didn't...the thought didn't set particularly right with her, but...she didn't plan to return.

Confident that things at the ruin of his Warren was under control Anubis moved forwards towards the hills over which the creatures were making their escape. After all that had happened, even this frenzied pursuit seemed like a lull in the action and he directed several questions towards the leveret that followed him.
"Which Warren are you from and how did you get here?" He asked as they moved forwards. Perhaps it was somehow tied to the rest of the disasters that had happened and it would reveal something. Maybe it wouldn't. But for now it gave his mind something to think about besides the fact that he prize Doe was in the clutches of something he couldn't understand.
With steady hands he checked over his armor as he spoke, making sure everything was secure. . . and ready.

Maeve glanced at him warily, trotting alongside and observing him as he checked his armor; there was no point denying him, though, unless she wanted to bring down his ire on her unlucky self.
"Remmington's, Sir. In the Selkie Lakes,”she responded softly, “As to how I got here...I am not rightly sure. A great wind came and swept me off my feet...and then I was here." It sounded ridiculous, but it was the truth. And though she had never particularly cared for Remmington's warren, it hadn't been a bad place really, and it certainly was much better in retrospect. What kind of nightmare had she fallen into?
“May I ask who I serve now?” she inquired nervously, afraid of the repercussions for speaking out of turn, but wanting to put a name to the male she was blindly following. There was a certain comfort in a name, though she took no comfort from her own; anyone who bothered to know hers had made a mental distinction between the amorphous, interchangeable mass of leverets and she, and that was the kind of attention Maeve had endeavored to avoid her entire life. It didn’t matter now, though; she had been noticed.
It was better not thinking about the future.

Anubis stilled mentally when he heard the name Remmington. A Jack he had dealt with before then. The very Jack he had traded with for his beloved Yasmin. The only Doe he had ever owned that had actually pleased him for more than a momentary while. His resolve hardened again and he picked up the pace.
He shot the leveret a quick glance as it asked for his name, but the quick anger was satiated by the wording the rabbit had used. Serve, yes. That was the right way for it to be thinking in this situation. If it didn't serve him it was a liability he couldn't afford to keep dragging along.
"Anubis, and I saw that your tail went through one of those monstrosities. I suggest you keep mind of that if one catches you off-guard."
He was silent for a couple moments before he spoke up again.
"I wouldn't normally discuss such things. . . but that Doe is ESPECIALLY valuable to me. It is important that we get her back"

"Yes, Sir," answered Maeve obediently, hating herself for it, but resolved to maintain a neutral, subservient attitude. She couldn't help but feel dread; he knew her, knew what she was capable of, at least partially, and he would be keeping an eye on her. It was obvious. She was no longer a non-entity. Please don't let him ask my name; she couldn't stand it if that final mark of individuality was forced from her, but she wouldn't be able to deny him if he asked.
She forced the thought away. Focused on scampering after him.
Valuable. Monetarily, or...emotionally? Perhaps, judging from his actions thus far, there was some emotion involved. Were Jacks capable of true affection? It was hard to imagine it, and she didn't care to dwell on it. They were all just numbers, symbols of His accomplishments; she had to remember that.
It was growing dark.

Anubis pushed on relentlessly, until even he had to admit it was too dark to see which direction they were going anymore. His pace hesitantly slowed bit by bit until gradually he came to a stop. His eyes searched the distance, hoping for some movement or light to show itself in the absolute darkness. After a few moments he finally spoke.
"We should make camp. . . we can continue on in the morning. I just hope those things can move too far at night."
It was an uneasy feeling as the Jack was certain the objects of his chase would keep moving through the night. Who knew if something made of smoke and shadow and . . .other things, ever needed to stop. The thought sent a quick chill down his spine but he stiffled the feeling and turned around.
"In my haste I didn't bring anything to eat, I'm fine for now though. If you wish you can go scout for something for yourself. Just. . don't go too far."
Was that paranoia? But of what? The mysterious leveret or the beasts that might be behind them as well as before.

How…generous. Maeve glanced at the darkened landscape and shivered. Her experience with that--thing--earlier lingered unpleasantly, and the thought of meeting one in the dark was terrifying.
She was surprised they had stopped at all, for truth; she had thought he would run straight through the night in pursuit of his precious doe. Perhaps she was not so precious, or more likely, he knew a twisted ankle or the like wasted more time in the end than a few hours rest.
Maeve glanced at the encroaching darkness--it was tempting, oh so very tempting, to slink off into the darkness and start running, to keep going until…what--and shook her head, “It can wait, Sir.”
It was the perfect opportunity to run, to rid herself of all the worry and bother once and for all, but where would she go? Back to Remmington’s warren? There were bound to be questions concerning her absence, and she most defiantly did not have satisfactory answers. She had nothing: no home; no friends. It was--depressing.
Maeve laid down, and sighed. It was doubtful, considering the circumstances, that she would get much sleep.

Anubis watched the leveret carefully for a second as if he could read its thoughts. Though of course he couldn't. He had seen some sort of struggle pass its face for the briefest of seconds, but any doubt that may have raised in him was squashed when the other rabbit decided to stay within eye-shot of him. He gave the leveret a brief nod.
The Jack was frustrated, and staying still just allowed the frustration to build and began circling within him. He couldn't move properly at night, it was more useful to get a bit of rest then move quicker come the following day. To have enough energy when they caught up, because for the sake of the White Rabbit, they WOULD catch up if it was the last thing he did, so that they could fight whatever horror they encountered when they got there.
He sat down with a small outward breath before balling up his fists and looking again into the darkness ahead. His ears, ever alert, swiveling to pinpoint any noise he may hear.
