Sabe moved about the capital a few days after everything had calmed down, still quite unsure of what had truly happened. He could however notice that many people where hurt in the effects of it, and it was up to the workforce of the realms to help piece back the Capital to what it was. He had called up and payed out large sums of money from his own coffers to afford as many undertakers and the such to help put this place back to peace. Though after reducing his wealth to almost anything did he have to ask permission from the Court of Clubs to take out a larger sum of money to start to rebuild the Realms Economy back, which in turn meant that the Capital and all of its industries vital to trade routs and the Realms to be placed back in order. This in turn would have opened many jobs for those that couldn't find anything elsewhere, and gave openings to those taking the places of those that had fallen due to random monsters and petty murderers. He gave a heavy sigh as he walked up to the shop that was being repaired at the moment to ensure that everyone was working and not slacking off, after all it was his money and the Clubs that was footing most of the bill. Thanks to the donations of several other companies and business holders that finished off most of the rest of the costs that these people were able to start the repairs and clean up. He gave each of them a smile and a "thank you" as he passed it by reminding himself that he had to keep it slow, doctors orders and all. With that done he moved to the next area and found himself rather tired and took a seat next to the large fountain in the center of town, watching as many were still at work cleaning up blood splatter. He didn't know what had went on here, but he knew it must have been savage. He gave another heavy sigh as he leaned forward cradling his beak in his good hand. This was however quiet depressing as well as he noted the chipped tip of his beak that was damaged from the Jokers spell. He looked over to his hired body guard and smiled, "It is good that you were not there, else you may have not come out of it alive." he said with a bit of a smile still keeping much of it to himself. There were just too many secrets that shouldn't be revealed in such a way. With Jokers, Rabbits, and plots to ruin all of the courts and the realms. It would have been devastating for something like that to have happened, and yet he was pleased that he was able to do as he had said he would have. He had protected everyone that he had told that he would. It was his queens honor on the line and he had fulfilled it. He gazed at the clear skies and wished for rain. It would have washed away all this sorry and all the blood shed that had been here. He knew full well that this City would never be the same again. No one would forget that day when it had all started. People would fear dense fog and turn back to their houses and light a large fire in the fire place. He himself gave a shudder at the thought of all those people just up and dissipating around him, even the accounts that he had read were the same. Suits... I need a drink... blast that doctor... he thought as he leaned back onto the stone fountains bench. He couldn't have a drop of liquor or beer until another month, let alone use any sort of magic for quite some time. He just was tapped both mentally and physically.

One hell of a week. Fetu had woken from her unconscious slump in the palace of Hearts, being tended by a Court doctor and told that she would be 'just fine'. Of course, the man had said these words even as she opened her eyes and experienced blinding, thought-stopping pain thanks to the bright and cheery sunlight streaming through the windows. Heavy sunglasses restricted the sun once again, though at the cost of adequate peripheral vision. She didn't see colors 'normally' anyway and so that aspect of the glasses didn't bother her. It was all the police could do to return the city to some semblance of order. The Capital wasn't a sane place to live in the best of times, but after a war in the streets, a massive magical evacuation, Selkies and Lowlanders dying all around them... and then the aftermath of all that madness elsewhere in Wonderland... She didn't even want to think about it. She merely thanked everything that she wasn't a Selkie or a Lowlander and left it at that. Her patrol that day led her past Fountain Square and she took a moment to pass by the water feature, letting the sound distract her for a moment. Only after she had passed over him several times with her eyes did she note the presence of the Queen of Clubs she had found in the mists and the madness. He looked... well, he looked like he'd been beaten halfway to Sunday. Considering the fight he'd been engaged in with the Queen of Hearts, much less whatever other dangers he faced in her absence, the damage had likely been much worse before he visited the doctors. With a moment's hesitation, she approached him and cleared her throat likely. Then she bowed, enough to show respect. "Your Majesty Sabe. I am relieved to see you well after... everything that happened."

He looked up from his daydreaming and smiled at her, she was all sunshine today. It didn't look like anything that had happened to her after they had to abandon her in the main hallway in the Court of Hearts. It was a relief that she was still alive and well. He had only learned recently that some of the people that he had met was still fine and well with what all had happened, not to mention the fact that there was a war in the streets of the Capital. He turned to her and gave her a warm and welcoming smile.
"Officer Fetu, I am relieved that you are still alive." he said as he stood up and dropped to a knee so he could look at her directly, so uncanny of a titled queen. "How fare you? Did something happen to you? I mean I would have carried you but... I had to break my own wrist to save my delicate wings." he said as he gazed at her through his good eye. He was a bit sadden that the demons that had swirled around him had cut right across his left eye leaving a scar that would be with him for the rest of his life. He could still see decently out of it but with some blurry effects.
"So what are you and the police doing?" he asked wondering how they were faring from the probable burglaries that could still be happening around the city.

The day was nice, although the reason for the trip was not. The destruction was terrible and Amherst was decidedly disturbed that he couldn't have done more to help. Before the police officer walked up, Amherst inclined his head to his charge. "All the more reason I should have been there. If I could have taken those blows for you, my lord..." But Sabe was alive. He had been severely beaten, but he was still alive. Amherst had been by his side ever since, protecting his new charge, and wishing he could have been there to help him during all the chaos. And it had appeared that the police officer was another survivor. Survivor of what, Amherst didn't know. Everyone had a different story of what happened that night. Amherst tactical mind had a hard time sorting it all out. If he'd been more of a strategy-minded individual, perhaps, but time enough to dwell on it later. The officer appeared cordial to Sabe. But it would not go untoward to keep an eye on the individual while they were chatting.

Fetu did not fail to note the Benyan's attention to her presence, but she left it without comment. She simply kept an eye on him in return. Her heavy sunglasses helped the action appear far less rude than it might have.
When the Queen moved to kneel in front of her, she started back for a moment before relaxing. Nobles... strange things. Even with her familiarity as a child, she still thought that. Or maybe even because of it. She knew first-hand how bizarre they could be.
"Majesty, it's of no consequence. I fared well enough under the circumstances. No further injuries sustained than those you witnessed, at any rate." And she would not - not! - comment on the various scars and wounds that crossed his feathery skin. However much she looked at them through the concealing lenses of her glasses.
His last question, at least, she could answer easily. She had been answering it all day. With a slight straightening of her spine, she tucked her paws closer to her sides in more of a 'reporting' position. It was polite, her commanding officers had told her, especially when addressing nobility. "Our first priority has been reestablishing communications throughout the city, Majesty. Families were separated and businesses were ransacked in the chaos. We've made good use of your own suit's natural mental abilities to help restore order, which is of course our primary objective. The overall causes of the disturbances are still being investigated."

Sabe nodded and stayed his ground where he was. He was tired of sitting and tired of laying around doctors offices... he was also quiet surprised for the fact that he had found some rather interesting things out himself. He had heard of rumor that he hadn't verified himself but it seemed that a large number of clubs that hailed from The Lakes had died, and that their was someone of his body guards breed that had come about the complete genocide of the race. He looked up at him and wondered if he knew of such a person named Jordan, but he wasn't going to question him in front of the police. It was something that was to be left alone to more private discussions.
"We do what we can to help out." he said and then gazed at her posture, "At ease soldier." he said with a bit of laughter. "I wasn't born a royal you know. Suits... I was lower rank than ya when I was born, so no need for such formalities." he said as his knee started to hurt and so he switched them out. He didn't want to stand, then it just look like he was towering over her... he really hated the fact of how tall he was, he blamed his neck the most.
"I haven't had the chance yet to ask you or if you may know Officer Fetu, but have you heard of the Lake's having been whipped out?" he asked wondering if they had heard the rumors as well.

With a twinge of embarrassment, Fetu relaxed her posture into something more normal, though her posture still remained 'good'. Years of habit.
"Of course," she murmured. "Sorry, sir." Much as the man might have hoped to get her at ease, she was rarely at ease around anyone, especially not on the job.
His inquiry brought an honest grimace to her face and she tucked her chin just slightly inward. "Actually, sir... we've been getting a lot of reports from the Lakes of late. Illness. Poisoning. The city is seeing Selkie refugees trickling in and I think we're in for more. Something's making them sick as a whole, all of the pure-blooded Selkies and a lot of the mixes. Our commanding officer is understandably concerned, being part Selkie herself, but at this point I don't have a lot of facts to report. Suffice to say that we're looking for a Benyan woman named Jordan for questioning in relation to the incident. If you happen to see her in your journeys, please notify the authorities as soon as possible."
More than she might have said to the casual citizen, but a Queen would likely have heard some of the story already.
