(( OOC: I wrote this with the intention of being predated before the Ticket contest. )) Ezekiel had to remind himself that things got better. He had his Ceci. He had his family however much it was in disarray. He had the world in the palm of his hand if he really thought about it. But he couldn't help but feel dreadful. Things just seemed to be shades of gray that he was constantly struggling with. The sparrow stared at the bouquet of flowers he had bought in a vain attempt to cheer himself up. Brightly colored and freshly cut they seemed to mock him. At least they were pink. And maybe he could find someone to appreciate them more than he did. That way he wouldn't be wasting his money. And maybe he'd get a bit more out of it? A rather pretty young woman walked by in that moment. He froze as he watched her pass. Maybe he could...? "Excuse me, Miss... you wouldn't happen to know your way around this area? I'm looking for a particular shop." He said brightly.

Kama had arrived in the Capital the previous day, and had spent a staggering majority of both days wandering its streets in search of the little shop her parents had set aside for her. It should be around here somewhere, but then again, she could be in the wrong part of the city. Again. A voice just behind and to her left startled her a bit, and she turned back to see the bird card she'd just passed calling out to her. Did she know the area? Not really. But she was never one to pass up on a potential new friend. Her answer was rather amused-sounding, and, though her eyes remained hidden behind a veil of mane, but the corners of her lips turned up in a small smile. "I only just arrived here, myself, so your chances are a bit slim. But you never know, I may have come across it in my wanderings. What are you looking for?"

"Oh that's a shame," The sparrow said as he twirled the flowers in in his hand idly. "I was looking for a little glass shop that my brother used to frequent. I could have sworn it was around here but I haven't been in this part of the city in ages."
He plucked a flower out of the set and offer it to the young woman. She was quite a pretty one. It really was a lucky day. "Well if you're as lost as I am, I suppose we can be partners in crime. I do know that there is a nice little place to eat around here, and it honestly can't be that far. Would you like to join me?"
It was worth a shot. Playing dumb and innocent had gotten him fairly far before, and he really was a bit turned around so it wasn't a complete and utter lie.
