Next in my series of random fun questions about your characters:

What was your character's first crush/relationship like? Was he/she similar to their currently preferred 'type'?


Just for character development/silly lols.

Dania's first crush is Faust! (She's a later bloomer or something, heh.)
Joel hasn't had a crush yet, but is open to developing one....
Alicia's first crush was The Emperor, and he's still pretty much her type: an elegant and gentlemanly Jack who treats his Does well but isn't too much a pushover.
(My other kiddoes are too young.)

Colin's first crush was Xenon's Raina, actually. XP At least, that I know of. He probably had others in the Villa before. His 'type' is very much pretty Avians with a high Rank or at least the ambition to get such a Rank.
Eldy's first crush was...Seth, actually. XD Which she is very embarrassed looking back on. But yeah, her type is very much strong men with nice arms. E-yep.
Mirriam has/had a little crush on Sascha, I think...(wow why are these all Xenon characters? XD) I don't know that she has a type, persay...she's only just now getting to that age.
Seena is in love with Heike and before that no one really had her respect enough. She didn't used to be too interested in romance before she met him.
Felix...XD He doesn't have a type, persay...although he likes Villas a lot. His first crush was probably on the girl he asked to prom at school, but that turned out very poorly in the end for him.
Arkady has a HUGE crush on Castiel. >_> I dunno what his type really is either though, lol.
Graeme...I actually think he's only ever had one love/crush/relationship, because he's so in love with his money focused on other things. But that would be Goldie, his first and last love, who broke his heart but he still pines for her, sometimes.
Nellwyn is too messed up to have anything resembling a normal relationship. XD Her type is other Cards that are as crazy as she is. Currently that's Apocalypse and Lythero. But she's dating Menefer, who is NOT her type...XD
Aberforth. Is Aberforth. He doesn't do crushes or love or anything else that requires him to put himself out there. But he's...'content' with Iaso, I suppose.
Molly crushes on any male Card who is the least bit gentleman-like to her. XD I'm sure her first one was on a classmate at school who was polite and offered to carry her books for her.

The others are too young, or my two Leverets, who...yeah.

Alright, I'm not gonna bust out the -whole- list, but I will poke at some of my more interesting characters <3

Morpheus: Hands down first crush/anything was Greenie's Dysthymia, and that ended horribly, so he snatched up Mia's brother, Shini's Aphasia, and has technically been with him since he was like.... god, 15? lol. Despite have quite a few one night stands and keeping Spidey's Khizr in his basement. There's only been two important women in his life, Tig's Naylia and his own shadow demon Maraisa. But in general? If it's pretty and it's male, he'll tap it. <3

Osias: Dania shouldn't feel too bad cause his actual first ever crush, and relationship (and last one too, he says) would be Finistris. Everything before just doesn't count as anything but him being a douchebag.

Jarvis: In his younger years he was in love with a cute little Mouse out in the Marsh. She may have been suffering from a degenerative illness, but she was still full of all that crazy fire he loves. (Yeah, honestly, Resta is his perfect type of woman XD) She ended up passing away in her late teenage years and that's when he left the Marsh to pursue things that didn't involve the hunting and killing of Lowlanders (the family ;business'). Closest thing he's had to a crush since is on Satra's Heilyn, but he has far too much respect for her to say anything. Doesn't help that she gotten up there in years either <3

Jerome: Surprisingly, he's never had a thing for someone. But apparently he likes intelligent women who don't act like damsels in distress, but isn't a psychopath all at once. Never had time back home, but he's open to 'suggestions' nowadays.

Casanova: His first real crush was a pretty little 'coon, Morganberry/Kahmden, and he was with her for quite awhile. Brought her home to meet the family and she freaked out. That really rubbed him the wrong way and he pretty much shoved her out the door and told her to f-off. didn't date or anything for a year, and now there's Lauryn's Lariel, so he doesn't want me to put up what he likes in a woman, lol. <3

Alohilani: She's quite the little snob when it comes to romantic interests. She never really thought about it til the ticket contest, thought for sure her parents were going to find someone for her and that's who she'd be with. She likes guys like Mr. Todd and Nako's Orin, so we'll just be nice and say she likes spontaneous men who can hold their own in a brawl. Looks don't really matter, but they've got to have a bit of an intelligent streak every now and again to maintain her interest.

Takio: His first love was who he has children with. He's pretty gender neutral when it comes to relationships, but they HAVE to love music as much as he does. He's a little broken up since his lover died, but it might be nice for someone to try and creep into his life. He's not entirely closed off to the idea, but it'd be difficult.

Brokat: His first crush was Bee's Thalia, and all that got him was drugged, caged and experimented on for who knows how long before being dumped in an alleyway. Yeah, he'd be a tough one to get close to, despite being a sweet guy in an ugly package with an agitated persona up as an extra guard. Having someone would probably make his views on life less bleak, but he's convinced himself absolutely no one would love a guy that looks like him, so any interest would be suspicious.

Tavor: his first crush was actually Vyn's Xylia. however, he's with FP's Illana right now and he's pretty certain he's discovered his soul mate. They're so sugary sweet together it's kinda gross too.... as he does enjoy a woman who's soft, gentle, has a big heart and cares about flowers and things in life like he does.

As Kitty said, Mia was with Mo originally.. and that ended disastrously bad. He was pretty determined to stay stoically single until he ended up in a one-night stand with Christopher that produced a baby.. he then dragged Christopher across the realms in a fit of parental rage and had the misfortune to then fall in love with him. <3 As dysfunctional and violent as that love may be!

Vessie is/was with Shini's Quinn, having been basically pounced upon and dragged off in a jingly fashion at a very young age. After her one-nighter with Pale produced kids, though, she's basically detached herself from any sense of romance.

Pascha's first love was Malc, when he was still with Spidey. He hasn't found anyone else willing to put up with him since, though, so he's become a poor little chaste-birdy. He still loves him some beefy feathery boys, though.

Saethre's never been in love, and I don't think she has the emotional capacity to do so... but if we were to consider 'abject fondness' equal to love, then Bee's Helena's probably a good bet!

Zether's in perpetual puppy love with Blue's Kaleb. First and only love, at the moment.

Marigold's got a massive crush on Kari's Horatio, though it would take quite a bit of work to get her to admit it, even to herself.

Indivar loves the taste of a beating heart.

The rest of mine have never had any notable crushes, or are too young.

Lariel - Well, this girl was a little screwed up by her parents when she was young so kept everyone at a distance. One night stands were the closest she ever got to a relationship...... until she met Casanova. XD Honestly, he's everything she NEEDS in a man to draw her out of her shell and break down her walls. She's eventually going to fall head over heals for him. AND she's going to go kicking and screaming all the way!

Jeremiah "Miah" - EHEHEHEHEHE. Even though he is an absolute flirt and will hit on almost anything that moves, he's never really had feelings for anyone. His flirtatious and vain nature are ACTUALLY his defense mechanism to keep the world in handling conditions. He's as depressed on the inside as any good Torque, but he just chooses not to show it. He likes males and females alike, and although he definitely has a soft spot for Mice (*coff* Ayden *coff*), he's an equal opportunity lovah!

Pandora - She was just born, so hasn't had time to really consider this. If I had to guess, I'd say she would be attracted to a man with power - either mental, physical, magical OR political. Just....powerful in some way. She'll need a guy who can forgive her for her snarkiness and sometimes cruel nature and bring out the soft bunny inside her. Maybe someone who isn't afraid to have some fun with her on the darker side...

Bristol - He's my gentleman! He was also just born so hasn't REALLY had a chance to get to know too many people, BUT HE HAS A CRUSH ON CAT!! I think it's a mix between /my/ crush on Cat combined with her complete lack of deception. She is so innocent in her ways, even though she's a cannibal. She's bold, true to herself, honest, nice.... Yup, he sees her as a Lady. He would probably bring her flowers, watch her face as she figures out what the hell they're for, and take her out one night for some rare steak or something.

Geronimo - He's just a kid still so this isn't really a thing, but he really needs to get some distance between himself and Shoshanna.....or things could end up getting bad. But in a woman I'd say someone who is as gruff and abrupt as he is. Someone who could beat the snot out of him in order to get him to listen and be willing to lick the wounds after. XD

Phoebe/Galen - They're technically not "born" yet, so......no idea. XD (Although I'm seeing Phoebe as a happy-go-lucky Cat with an adventurous streak. She's personable and bold. She would need a guy like her, but with a gentlemanly streak. Galen is kind of a book worm, methinks. He'd have to have someone who is intelligent like him, but knows how to drag him from his studies in order to have FUN, which he would otherwise forget to do.)

Ooh, what a fun thread. Let's go back a ways and see if I can remember... starting with the dead people!

Serafino was kind of a weird Stu-not-Stu, looking back on him. But! I loved him dearly. His childhood perception of relationships was kind of effed up when his father ended up killing his mother in the middle of the night and stealing the Court with his Morganberry lover. Plus his natural... imbalances. Stuff happened during the time period between being ousted from the Court and taking it back with his uncle. He preferred men and thus his general distaste for the royal 'affiliation' with Lysaras, which ended disastrously. His only two 'loves' in life were Pravus and Gaston. Laugh, I know, but there was stuff that didn't get posted. And hey, I'm laughing, because it's funny.

Lani was a slut and a party girl. She waffled between loving gorgeous, beefy, brainless things and sweet guys to worship her. When she started getting tired of one, she'd attract the other. Vice versa. She never really 'loved' any of them, though. Zane was a fun time.

Femi loved her Kazifel. So, so much. That is all. Little freak.

Chai was too young, Dell died at 15 after a hermit's young life, Ace was fucking nuts, Alphonse was I believe developmentally stunted and incapable of such feelings (at least at the time of his death), Marie was a weapon perpetually stuck at age 12...

Will explore more of the living and dead when I'm back at a computer. <3

LOL probably not although I can't take the credit for that. XD Goldie was Scrooge McDuck's (the original's) love interest. I just borrowed and adapted her as a Card. XD

XD Aaaah, the Character Wayback Machine. Fortunately, a lot of my characters are little children and don't need to worry about this yet, but I have some definite ideas for others.

Helena and Iphis both had their first crush on the same person--Dark's Hadyn--aaaaand their first relationships with him, too. XD Hadyn ended up getting the short end of the stick on that one, considering Helena has magical ladysperm that knocked Hadyn up and ruined his life. Hadyn was Helena's type insofar as Helena's type is "pretty much anyone ever" and I guess going by his track record, Iphis has a thing for manly brooders, though he prefers the STOIC BUT SENSITIVE variety to the ANGST ANGST ANGST variety, why hello there Zeev.

Mnem's first relationship was with a pretty girl in her apprenticeship back in the Gardens; she doesn't have a name in my head but BOY WAS SHE HOT, which I guess says a lot about Mnem. It wasn't exceptionally deep and it didn't last exceptionally long. Mnem and "crush" do not really compute for me. She has pretty much the same "type" that Helena does, but it does slant quite a bit more towards Unnamed Hot Girl, especially as she gets older and feeling more deeply...Gardens-y, I guess you might say.

It's probably safe to say at this point that Lyr has a bit of a crush on Sophie. The girl's a nervous OCD wreck, and found her comparatively much more steady presence extremely comforting. Thanks for putting up with her, Sophs! I don't think Lyr has much of an established type yet beyond "girls". She's still a wee thing.

Thalia had no so much a crush as single-target sexuality with regards to Tosiek. XD They've pretty much been together since they were eight. Thalia is otherwise utterly oblivious to romance.

Zeki has Virtute, first and so far only love, and quite likely to be that for a loooooong time. As for what it's like, Xenon's fanart put it best: STUPID CUTE. Also eventually stupid sad.

Vishne had a small stint with a girl in his poetry circle as a teenager, back when he was reeeeeeeally emo. It was a short and not very fulfilling romance, and she would really not be his type anymore. I like to think he's matured a little since then, even if he's still sort of...*gestures vaguely in Vishne's direction*

Oh boy, this is an interesting question, indeed!

My characters in RP have been astoundingly asexual so far, but I think it’s just been the circumstances rather than lack of interest, haha.

Iso: Iso’s first crush was a silly little grade-school thing that she quickly got over after the usual embarrassment and flutterings that accompany primary school. She ended up dating the-boy-next-door when they wound up at university together (her parents were thrilled). It was a rather boring relationship and she eventually ended it because she just felt like they were “going through the motions” and she didn’t really have any interest in him beyond the fact that he wasn’t stupid.

Iso’s type tends to range in the “intelligent” and “exuberant about their work” category (hence the crush on Don), and generally prefers men for whatever reason. She finds Aberforth mindful and she admires his dedication to his iron work. Surprisingly, she’s learned to accept his help and presence and is beginning to actually grow fond of him (and could potentially learn to love him).

Farran: Farran is a turd and has had his ass dumped a few times because he’s so full of himself. He’s smooth enough to land dates (and sometimes relationships), but eventually he puts his foot in his mouth or gets too clingy and ruins everything. Farran’s still young, so he hasn’t been too far around the block, but he’s decisively against dating fellow Villas (as he generally hates the arts – a product of his father’s duel) and can’t stand Corvies. He likes the looks of the Yarrows, but they’re bat-shit crazy as far as he’s concerned. Right now he’s a little confused on what he does like, because he’s naturally attracted to spritely, wispy Cards but it reminds him too much of home.

Emery: Oh, poor Emery. He’s pushed romance to the faaaar back of his mind because it’s highly unlikely he’ll ever find someone that treats him as an equal. It’s an unfortunate thing, too, since he has so much to offer. If he absolutely had to tell you his type, he’d probably go for someone clever, can handle their own, and respects him for what he is without feeling pity, and generally treats others well. He’s definitely an equal-opportunity lover, men or women.

Fi: Likes food-meats? Fi likes them.

Marvolo: He’s a bit too young for it (considering he hasn’t technically been born), but he’s going to be on either end of the spectrum, falling for either delicate flowers that need protecting or FIERCE bombshells that are a bit twisted in nature. The more devious, the better, though I wouldn’t put it past him to have a sweetie of a lover that he dotes upon while torturing people on the sly. (Actually, Pandora’s probably his ideal woman. Too bad she’s so much older!)
