The hawk always could be found here these days, at least that was what it seemed to him and it annoyed him all the time when he pondered about the fact again, having nothing better to do. It never seemed more than a few seconds that he visited another place before he was back in this forsaken place, dragging himself through each day that he was here. Searching for something and he didn't know exactly what. His purple eyes roamed the ever familiar sight again, taking in the buildings that decorated the sides of these streets as he always did. He maneuvered out of the way sometimes when one didn't look up in their hurry.
Angavar was too used to it and that was one aspect that didn't bother him as much as it had done before as his head lowered to stare toward the ground like a grouchy child. He frowned, wing moving lightly and brushing against the side of his beak. His steps almost stopped, before a push in his shoulder had him moving again, a barely muttered apology and then he was walking again, frowning more and staring toward the direction the stranger had disappeared into. He quickly shook his head and briefly patted at his own wing to get the feathers straight again. The heart wouldn't settle with anything else, one could call him vain for it.
It was a luck for them that they didn't see the rank and symbol on his chest, otherwise they would have reacted differently and made everyone focus more attention on him and what was happening. He didn't need the attention right now, satisfied to deal with only his own business right now. It would become more difficult if he had been an even higher rank, a eight, or like he hoped. A King or Queen once, both would give him power that he couldn't deny that he craved for sometimes, although mostly it could be denied and made him focus on his art.
Not today however.

The bipedal little girl, decked out in a white vest that she'd be surprised to find out that her mother had gotten her, was out and about today doing what she loved best, magic. not the type that they were all born with, no.... illusions. She'd been practicing for a while on her brother's and today was her 'debut' as a street performer. She even had a little jar set up for tips, and it had a few coins in the bottom of it. She did the usual card tricks, some vanishing coins, etc .... but she saved the very best for last. She just needed the perfect subject. Aha! The newly arrived Villa would do just fine. Cheerfully she stepped over to the avian, picked her hat off her head, tipped it and offered it to him, a smile on her face and her eyes, well, you could imagine that the blank, white visionaries were peering at him. Tell me sir, what would you like to see me pull out of my hat? Nothing dangerous or vile now, something fun!

He was still minding his own business, when he heard someone addressing him. He slowly blinked, before focusing his gaze onto the small card and opening his mouth to speak, sound however didn't want to leave him yet. His beak shut again with a small click as he tried to formulate a reply that wouldn't make him seem too awkward. It didn't help that he found those white orbs scary, they seemed to stare toward him and yet he couldn't say for sure. He realized that he hadn't spoken for a while and snapped himself out of it and shook his head "I cannot think of anything now." He offered.
Angavar hoped that it would be enough so that he could get away soon afterward. He didn't favor staying here, already he could see a few curious gazes aimed to his direction. He moved his wing however and placed it in front of his features "Hm, what about a... crystal." He threw the first thing out now, staring at her for a moment longer and then shifting his gaze away. It soon focused on her again, she had something fascinating about her, the eyes where enrapturing him and still making him uncomfortable.
He was quite curious, wondering what she could do. He didn't found it spectacular, but sometimes it was thought of as amusing.

Her little ears flipped forward as she watched the avian, still holding out her rumpled top hat and looking up at his expectantly. It wasn't a hard question, it really, really wasn't, but the villa seemed to be making it a hard one. A very slight frown tugged at the edges of her maw when he said he didn't know of anything right then. Had she known him better, she'd be inclined to sock him right in the nose for such a response. However, you didn't gain an audience by beating people in the streets just because they didn't give you a satisfactory response.
however, she was damned and determined to get him to give her any sort of idea, any at all, and wiggled the top hat a bit in his direction. She never took her odd eyes off of him either. She'd get him to respond, she knew it.
And then, finally he did and a little grin returned to her muzzle as she retracted the top hat, said a few hocus-pocus sounding words she'd learned in the Hisstor tongue, and stuck her hand in the hat and rummaged around. She removed a closed fist from her hat, flipped it upside down to demonstrate there was nothing inside, and flipped it back atop her head. She held out her hand and, in the fanciest way possible, lifted her slender fingers from around the object she clutched. There, in her palm, was a tiny, heart shaped crystal. She held it up for the few people who lingered to watch her 'show', before offering it over to the hawk.
There! A crystal! Can you take a look at it and confirm that it is, indeed, a crystal?
She smiled, moving her hand a bit to indicate that he was supposed to take it and give it a once over. She was totally mimicking the street 'magician' she'd seen a few months back but she thought she was doing a pretty good job. She was still just learning after all.
Jack's Ability: Once per week, she can reach into a hat - any hat - and pull out a small object of minimal value that would be extremely useful to her in her present situation. This object will disappear into nothingness after ten minutes. She is also incapable of pulling weaponry from the hat. If she is trying to extract a knife to eat with, then she will find one. If she's trying to find one to stab someone with, the hat will give her a flower instead.

He didn't truly notice her reaction, the hawk was still searching for a way out. He focused his attention on her soon again and nearly winced at the expectant look that she carried. It had him nearly wincing as well when the corners of her mouth tugged down and he almost wanted to apology to her, before gathering himself together and hissing mentally to himself that he didn't need to apology to a child, even with eyes as creepy like hers. Angavar shifted his weight for a moment and then blinked when she moved after his suggestion of a crystal.
The hawk could appreciate it still that she moved her hat to prove that it was entirely empty, made it more real either way. He leaned back lightly, slightly awkward with his shape and eyed her as she spoke a few words in what was no doubt hers as it didn't sound like anything he heard before, not that he heard a lot of them before. He sometimes may find it amusing, but he also distrusted it, sometimes. Especially when he wasn't sure what could happen and even more so when it possible could harm him.
She, however, pulled something entirely harmless out of her hat and he once more nearly blinked. His eyes followed as she swayed the heart-shaped crystal in front of his beak. She spoke again and his attention focused on her again and then to the crystal when she urged him to take it. A slight hesitation, before he extended out a wing to accept it from her. His eyes already peering closer toward it as he stepped lightly closer "It is indeed one." He answered her, still admiring the little stone "A very nice one as well." He wasn't even speaking about the shape.
Angavar wasn't exactly not greedy, but still he decided to ask. He wasn't about to steal anything from another "Do you want it back?" He asked. His tone perfectly neutral, but something in his gaze suggested that he would love to keep it, as short as it may be. He still watched it, raising it briefly to let the light filter through it.

When he took the little crystal to inspect it, her ears tilted forward with intrigue and just a touch of hopefulness. She clasped her hands together when he appraised it and that little grin of hers returned. Well, at least she'd done a good job, right? Now, she just had to finish off her show, didn't she?
She stood up and twisted herself around, leaving her feet pointed at the hawk, and took a little bow for anyone still watching. There were still a few people, and she heard a few more coins go into her jar as she tanked them for coming. When that was all said and done she twisted herself back around to face the hawk, laughing a little bit when he asked if he could keep it.
Sure, just be warned that it doesn't last forever, so I wouldn't recommend selling it.
Cheerfully she made her way back to her little coin jar and picked it up, there wasn't a whole lot in it, but her smile broadened none the less. It was more then she'd been expecting, and she'd definitely have to share this with papa! He'd be the one that was a little more excited about her 'success'. Mama would be too, just.... in his own special way.
Did you like my show?
Her grin was broad as she tilted her head to peer back at the villa, unaware that he'd only caught the tail end of it.

He still hadn't his full attention focused on her, although he slowly did raise his gaze to look toward her. He pondered who she was, how she could pull something like this off and once more he found him wondering about those eyes as well. The small shiver that ran over his spine was ignored pretty much by him, trying to keep anything like that away, after all. The pretty crystal told that she wasn't all that bad, right? It was something that he wouldn't ask, not right now at least, if he ever gathered enough courage.
The hawk was fingering more of those coins himself, the ones he always kept on him when he went to the Capital City. He rarely took it with him in the Villa en miir. He looked up when she laughed, frowning. He only relaxed when he realized that she wasn't laughing to hurt him. Angavar would never admit to it, but he was rather sensitive to that and he was known to hold a grudge and it could last some years before he finally calmed down or at least pretend again that he liked the person in question.
"Selling it?" He echoed, before shaking his head as if the thought was something scandalous "Not likely." The thought that it wouldn't last forever was taken with a slight nod, truly a shame. Angavar held it loosely, not truly wanting to put it somewhere out of sight right now, although he also couldn't keep admiring it and risk ignoring someone who shouldn't be ignored.
Watching, he saw her walk away again and pick up the jar. The question entered his ear and circled a few moments in his mind as he finally nodded toward her. His wing finally extending and dropping some of the coins that he had held onto in the jar that she still held close to her "Very much." He finally spoke, ignoring the fact that he only saw the end of it really. He looked down to her, still trying not to stare into her eyes and get uncomfortable again.
"How do you do it?" He finally questioned softly. His eyes drawn to the crystal again "It is.. perfect." He silenced awkwardly, shifting his weight, having found himself questioning what he wouldn't. He was thankful that his blush wouldn't be seen.
[Sorry for the late! I hope that the length compensates some of the waiting time >.<; ]
