"LILAC! WAIT UP!"Two bullets shot by wary city-goers, one long, lean, limber and obviously in the lead; the other, much smaller and more compact, was behind her but not by much. The two sisters looked as if they were in a highly competitive race, but really, they were just going to the market since their mother had forgotten as was practically tradition. The two of them had been going for food for years on their own, despite the fact that they were barely in their preteens; they shopped for food that was mostly in their tastes rather than in their best interests, but Saethre hardly cared. She liked mac 'n' cheese and hot dogs just as much as the next otter. The two came to a crashing, smashing halt in front of the vegetable vender, Lilac managing to twist her tail out of the way of Marigold's hooves. The large crow just laughed, used to their weekly antics. They beemed up at him, then began exploring.

Nico was enjoying himself. The day was nice and he was getting the chance to explore the market (with his ever present guardian, of course). There were so many sights and sounds (much more sound than sight, but awesome nevertheless!) in the market. Nico's favorite were currently the Mangos and he'd spent a great deal of time studying them before he became aware of a familiar set of sounds bursting into the market. "O!" he chimed, twirling around to catch sight of the otter rushing by. "There's a Josiggy!" Nico loved the sound the Josiggy brindle made, it was wonderful. Jovan had been in the middle of attempting to purchase a mango for Nico when the fragile boy spun, trying to rush after new pair of children he'd just heard/sound. "Nico wait!" He shoved the coins onto the booth and clutched the mango as he galloped after his brother. "You can't just chase strangers around!" Not that that warning ever worked. Meanwhile, he could hear Nico's friendly greeting: "You're very spindly!"

"I want some cherries!" Lilac proclaimed, then dashed across the street to the vender with the cherries. The dour Torquehelm stared at her, trying intimidation, but she ignored him with her usual effervescence and picked several up by the stem and twirled them around.
"Li! Don't touch the produce, Li!" Marigold groaned, not sure why she was bothering. Lilac never did what she was "supposed" to do. What was worse was that her sister never seemed to try to be obnoxious.. she was just naturally born that way.
They both turned at the sound of another's voice intruding on their shopping experience. Two curious pairs of otter-eyes stared at the pretty white-and-yellow mix until Lilac suddenly grinned at him. "Hey! You have markings like Mari does!" She pointed at his Josiggy markings, then at her sister's face. "Neato!"

Nico seemed to listen just as much as Lilac did and though Jovan insisted Nico not run around chasing strangers he would undoubtedly do it anyway. Sure enough, once he rounded the fruit stand that he'd lost site of his brother behind he found him beaming at two... unusual otters. Urk, not that he could say anything about strangeness with the way he and his brother looked.
Two curious sets of eyes peered back at the otters, though only one deer presently stood before them. Nico's ears pricked as far forward as they could go and he bobbed his hear cheerfully. "Yep! I'm a Josiggy mix too! But I'm albino, that's why I'm all white. My brother is the same, 'cept there's no Corvie..." He trailed off at the end, looking around. Where did Jovan go? His ears fell back a bit. Uh-oh... He though he was right behind him.
Jovan sighed to himself when he saw the look cross his brother's face. That's what he got for running off! But the young King couldn't hold it against him, Nico was too sweet for that and it wasn't as if he meant to make people worry. He cleared the distance between them. "Yo, Nico! Who are your friends?"
