Oh man... Like Satra said ("at the risk of offending people..."), I almost don't know where to start now that the plot's over. Wonderland is essentially in chaos - there's so much to be done!
Emery can't really decide what he wants to do with himself right now. All he knows is that he can't go back to playing the pet and making himself completely invisible. He's had a taste of his own potential for leadership and will never be able to return to just scraping by and avoiding Ace vendors. He'll do his best to keep his ranking hidden, but if it comes down to it, he'll just carve his own flesh off if it means being treated as an equal. He feels trapped, because he doesn’t know how far he can get without being discovered for what he is, but he knows he can’t just stand idly by… Maybe thinking of getting himself into the Capital Police Force, worming his way into Court services somehow or even just helping with the Selkie/Lowlander support groups.
Satra: Emery will be hanging about Mr. Todd’s shop and the bakery with Alohilani for a couple weeks, so there’s potential for him to find someone leaving flowers.
Iso is also struggling with the aftermath of the contest. She’ll probably be giving birth in a “couple months” (oh, SoD time… haha), but she’s absolutely horrified that someone went to such lengths to wipe out entire realms. She’s interested in Selkie research – insofar as trying to find a “cure” for the poison in the waterways (she’s not interested in forced experimentation or the new drug explosion – she’s actually quite horrified that her fellow Corvies have exacerbated the problem). I could also see her wanting to help the remaining Lowlanders – helping nurse the wounded back to health (creating a clinic/Red Cross sort of thing for survivors) and working on a way to treat muscle rot through regeneration… Though I know Osias won’t let Corvies touch the surviving Lowlanders with a 10-foot pole…
So, uh, barring discrimination for Emery and Corvie distrust for Iso, they’d like to help. XD
