Notes
Oh, a Bipedal Insect! What incredible and amazing luck! Too bad he's a male born to a Yarrow...at least he's a rather unobtrusive male?
His bloodstream was very oddly affected by a small potion ingested by his Mother while she was carrying him. This resulted in a massive amount of plant cells being inserted into his bloodstream; unlike the vines on his prettier sisters, he instead managed to grow a rather impressive load of ficus leaves from his skull...he'll need to be out in the sun for at least five hours a week, or risk becoming very ill. It also affected his colors, giving him a bit more green, purely for photosynthesis purposes.
He has an intensely protective nature, and tends to direct it towards causes that he'll pick up and drop as he goes through life.
Basic Magical Ability[/b]
He can act charismatic and persuasive at times, whether or not he actually has the natural charm and grace to pull it off.
Moderate Magical Ability[/b]
When activated, he can decipher up to two languages of the player's choosing. These languages are in addition to the common tongue and the Diamond house language.
Strong Magical Ability[/b]
When activated, he can cast a lie-detector spell on a Card of the Suit of Hearts and of a Rank lesser or equal to his own, once per day. Cards of equal Rank would be aware of the spell, but Cards of lesser Rank would not.
Powerful Magical Ability[/b]
When activated, he can fly for up to ten minutes. Winged Diamonds can use this ability for effortless, perfectly controlled flight; sadly, in his childhood Bipedal form, his wings are fairly useless.
Insects
People don't tend to believe that Insects can appear in Cards, though it has been rumored to pop up every now and then. They are so rare that they are commonly thought to be a myth and no one has seen one in the past two hundred years. They appear in the form of spiders, praying mantises, and various moths or butterflies. Most of them have a muzzle mutation to enable speech.
Corvistowne[/b]
Residents are usually black with electric and/or neon colored patterning in erratic stripes, splashes, and/or circles. Their coloration can be anything from electric green to a dazzling gold; even white has been seen on occasion, though it is incredibly rare. Breeding two Corvies of different colors will automatically result in at least one child that has both of those colors on its body.
Those who hail from Corvistowne are an odd bunch. They tend to be erratic in behavior and excessively creative in their work and experimentation. Most members consider themselves to be inventors of some sort, and they are not above experimenting on other members of society willing to sell themselves, Banders, Toves and Momes, Aces...or on themselves. Corvistowneians are usually quite intelligent, though they may lack common sense in the way they view the world, some going to extremes for no reason other than for science!!! The town itself is poorer than most, with many buildings appearing dilapidated and poorly cared for. If one can worm their way into the confidence of a member, they may be able to bear witness to the underground labs of Corvistowne. Many are small and cramped, with piles of past experiments and lab equipment strewn about; those with power in Corvistowne have setups that are rumored to make the Queen of Hearts slightly nervous. The extents of these labs can stretch underground for miles. Corvies are rumored to be slightly crazy by many not of the Realm. It is a stereotype and of course there are some who are scholarly in their pursuits…but the label arose for a reason.
