Gigi jumped with surprise as the see-saw snapped upwards. "A seeee-sawww?" she repeated quietly as she poked at the contraption with a curious expression. So it went up and down? That seemed like it could be fun!
With trepidation she carefully situated her self so she could sit on the see-saw hoping that nothing would go wrong. Slowly as she put her wait on the seat it went down, sending Ginger upwards. The giraffe let out a little surprised sound as her back feet hit the ground.
Now what? Did she push? Would that break it? What if the massive thing snapped under her weight? But this couldn't be it.... holding her breath for a moment she pushed up, which of course sent Ginger down towards the ground. It was really fun how this worked, why didn't they have one at the palace of Diamonds? Maybe she could beg Ez to bring her to the park more often!

Ginger nodded eagerly, her eyeless face staring right at the long-neck, a large, encouraging smile full of teeth in evidence. She resisted the urge to move as Gigi made her careful way onto the seat, but her small body quivered with anticipation. This was her favorite part! Sure enough, as soon as the other child's weight was on the see-saw, Gigi herself rocketed up into the air, front paws up in the air as a small bark of joy escaped from between her jaws.
It was her favorite part! She felt like she was flying, almost! "It's okay!!" she called down to the other end, because Gigi seemed a little nervous, still, and that just wouldn't do! They were supposed to be having fun! A lot of--the long-neck pushed off, and Ginger fell from the sky, trailed by a corona of fire streaming from her eye, bright even in the sunlight.
"Yes! Yes!" she yipped eagerly, and flopped over on the seat a bit so she could push off the ground with all four of her paws and go soaring into the air again.

This was fantastic. There was no other word that Gigi could think of that described this feeling. Up and down, soaring into the sky and then falling. She understood why people liked to fly even if she wasn't good at that sort of thing yet, now this would at least inspire her to learn how to fly properly.
For now she was going to have fun.
Until quite suddenly the see-saw protested the weight of Gigi, and suddenly cracked. The sound was enough to startle the giraffe so she slipped off of the seat while it was half way in the air. The fall wasn't too bad, though she made a surprised cry when her but hit the ground. Her seat snapped clean off from the sudden movement, and fell besides her.
The girl's ears were pressed against her head as she stared down at the wood that was besides her and then to Ginger. "You okay?"

Ginger was laughing, this was so much fun and it was amazing and she felt like she was going even higher than when she did this with her siblings and it was waaaay too bad that Sally could never do this with her and her tail was wagging so much she was surprised she didn't go flying off the seat and--and then, suddenly, she was airborne, and her paws were churning, grabbing at nothing. She was in the air and her flaming eye would have widened in surprise had it not been fully open all the time already.
Ginger got her wits about her in time to pull her legs in and land in a roll, hitting the ground and scudding to a stop. She slowly picked herself up, shaking her head a bit and covered in wood chips. What had happened? Her eyes roved around until it spied the broken see-saw and the Long-neck, looking at it sadly. Was she okay? She shook each of her legs in turn, testing to make sure none of them were broken. "Yeeeaaaaah I'm fine," she said, and then paused to spit wood out of her mouth. That didn't taste very good at all! "Don't worry oooooone bit," she added, and padded over to Gigi.

The giraffe still looked terribly heart broken even with the good news. She had broken something after all, not just the magical spell of joy but the see-saw as well. It took her a bit to come to a proper standing position and properly shake out all of the wood chips that had made it into her extra long mane.
She eyed the broken contraption briefly before looking back to Ginger. "I'm glad you're okay," she said trying to look up beat and failing a bit. "W-what do we do about the see-saw? Who do we tell that I um... broke it?" She poked at the wood with her hoof lamely.
Ez would have been utterly furious with her. Maybe that's why they didn't have outside things for children. They would break under her weight and misuse. She must have used it wrong, that was it wasn't it? But Ginger seemed to have encourage her so it mustn't have been wrong right?

Why did Gigi still look sad? Sad was no good, especially for friends. Ginger loped over to her, intending to make her happy again. After all, it was what Daddy wanted and it was what she wanted, too! Everyone needed to be as happy as possible, because happy was good and sad was not. Her circular thought patterns got her all the way over to Gigi's side, and she leaned up to lick her, right across the nose, with a typical lack of knowledge about personal space.
Only then did she realize there were words she had been supposed to pay attention to. Tell someone? Would that be the right thing to do? When you did a bad thing, telling someone only got you in trouble! And being in trouble was no good, either. "Noooo oooone," she said, tail wagging. "They'll fix it like they did beforeeee when someone broke the climbing bars." One day, the bars had been broken, and three days later there had been brand new bars! It was like magic, except that magic didn't really usually work like that, except that it sometimes did but it was more likely a park repair guy.

Gigi was a little surprised when she was licked, and blinked a few extra times. Did people do that often? Well, her family was filled with mostly birds, and they were a lot different than dogs from what she gathered.
"No one?" she repeated, the surprise in her voice was quite clear. Things didn't always work like that. When she broke things in the palace she knew who to tell, even if that resulted in a stern talking to. Though a few maids took pity on her awkwardness. She bit her lower lip in thought for a brief moment before pulling herself to her feet.
"Okay then... if it's all right not to tell someone I guess we can do something else. Um... that or I should get to the hotel I was supposed to go to." But she really wanted to play some more. Though... Ez would probably get angry or panicked if she stayed away for too long.

Ginger nodded eagerly, and felt the strangest urge to giggle. Why was Gigi so surprised that there was no one to tell? Did she want to get in trouble? Ginger didn't really understand why that would be the case, not at all. Getting in trouble was usually no fun at all, and it involved being forced to be somewhere you didn't want to, or perhaps forced to do something you didn't really want to do, like wash the dishes, never mind that fact that clumsy paws made that difficult and splashing water made you nervous for your eye.
No, being in trouble was no fun at all. So they should leave before someone came. "Weeeee should go," she said, nodding, tail wagging a bit. "Somewhere else, we can still have fun somewhere else?" It was part question, part invitation, as the little Coyote darted a bit back, tail wagging and held in the air as she forced her front half to the ground, eyeless gaze looking right at Gigi as tongue lolling out of her too-wide mouth. Her eye danced, a bit, the flames flickering brighter as she got excited.

Well, if she was inviting her to have fun... why should she say know? Ez would probably be fine. It wasn't like she was that hard to find, he would just have to ask people if they've seen a giraffe... she was "unique" or so she had been told.
"Okay, Let's have fun somewhere else!" she said with a decisive nod added for emphasis. The little giraffe would follow the coyote wherever she led. Obviously the girl knew where to have fun, and if Gigi felt uncomfortable she'd mention something about it.
For once in her short lived life she was able to ignore the cats that periodically darted into her sight. If she was going to trip on someone, she'd trip on someone and that would be that. She was going to try to have fun today!
"What other place can we go to in the city?" She asked.

The flaming eye flickered even brighter in excitement, and the little pup's tail was a blur as it wagged. More fun with her new friend! This was great! This was better than candy and toys and staying up late and no homework, even! She jumped a bit, practically whining with happiness and energy. "Okay okay yes yeeees!" she said in a rush, and her mind buzzed with all the possibilities of where they could go and what they could do even before the Long-Neck asked the question. First...first, they still had to get out of here, with the broken see-saw, because seeing it again might make Gigi sad and being sad was certainly not fun at all.
"This way this way Cone ooooon!" Ginger started off at a lope, eye swiveling to get a better view of where she was going as she left the park. Ideas ran through her head like ants, racing back to their sandy home-hill before the rain came to drown them. The other girl looked too fragile for wrestling, and somehow she didn't think a game of 'Finding Cool Things in the Dumpster' would appeal to her. She hadn't even liked the short way through the alley to get here! Automatically, her feet seemed to be taking her toward another favorite haunt, a corner of the Bazaar that was always filled with Cards and shops and noise and street performers. There would certainly be something fun to do -there-!
