Happy belated birthdays, guys!
Hope they were wonderful and that you had an absolute blast. <3
Vyn:
Temptation in a Can - 2: How strange...
A small, metal can, with the word Temptation; printed in bold lettering across the top. It has a Spade marking burned into the bottom and the entire thing smells like...Cupcakes?
Hmm! Yum...however...it does lead one to wonder what's inside...a blessing?
Or a curse?
It looks as though this might be part of a set...I wonder what would happen if all four were united?
If united, there is something for each participant...but it will be different from what you would get if used separately. Less than four does nothing.
Varde:
Heart on Twine: This thick ball of twine looks perfectly normal when rolled up into a ball...save for the fact that it leaks a viscous fluid if left on its own for too long.
...Or the fact that it seems to pulse at the tempo of an excited heartbeat...
...Or the fact that it tingles like mad to the touch.
When this object is touched by someone who is curious about its intrinsic properties, they will suddenly find themselves in a considerable amount of pain, as the ball of twin unwinds, displaying 5 hearts contained inside of its main body. It will then pluck out the owner's heart for its "collection", before sealing again.
The character in question can now no longer be harmed by conventional means, only spells that directly target the heart can now hurt them...or if anyone happens to target their ball of twine...but why would anyone do that?
Their body will still take damage, of course, but it is slowly regenerated over the course of a day (even if they are reduced to ash), until they are once again functional.
Careful with that ball of twine, though...PM the Admin if it is ever stolen, and make sure that you never try to touch a heart that isn't yours...
Using this item means that the character it is used on will never be able to enter a battle for the Queenship, as that would be meta-gaming.
Lucca:
Golden Harp: Oh, sweet! A harp made completely out of gold?
Strings and all?
I'll take two!
Though by the rights of any form of physics, this harp shouldn't be able to produce a tune, when it is picked up, the one touching it will suddenly be overcome with the knowledge of how to play it perfectly, and be able to do so...nay, they will feel compelled to!
Only someone with a true love for power, will be able to make the harp sing, though.
The little harp appears to have the rather beautiful figure carved into the front staff; the likeness of a Bipedal Duck woman, with extremely long, flowing hair.
When she claims an owner, only they will be able to play the harp and use its abilities until their deaths, whereupon the harp will choose another.
Once chosen, the new owner will find that, once a week, they are able to play the harp well enough that it will start to sing as well as produce the sound of a normal harp. The song it emits will sound to everyone listening as though it is being sung by the most beautiful form of vocalist that they, personally, can imagine. Cards ranked 10 and under will immediately be filled with the desire to do nearly anything, save for anything that would injure themselves or others, anything the player asks of them, in order to keep the song going. This spell will last for a full hour and can ensnare as many people as are present to listen. After the hour has passed, those who were under the spell "awaken" having no memory of what they have just done and in an incredibly foul mood.
This item does not affect Cards who are deaf. They will not be able to see or fall under the effects of the spell cast, nor would any secondary affects stick out at them.
Xenon:
Fire Circlet: Oh!
How incredibly beautiful and impractical!
This fiery circlet, once placed on, is instantly extinguished and its charred remains sink into and vanish in the wearer's scalp.
Wow...what a let-down, huh?
The SD affected, however, will find that, once a day; they are now capable of causing an incredible inferno of a mane to sprout from their shoulders and scalp, all the way down their spine!
Though this is a once a day spell, once lit, the caster can keep the fire going for up to 15 hours if they desire!
Though this uses a lot of energy, it is quite plausible for them to permanently feature an ever-burning mane, save for when they sleep.
It's also quite the party trick to spring on the unwary when you're especially angry.
The fire burns without any heat and is completely safe to the touch...unless of course, the toucher happens to be a Calloo, or part of one...then it burns like blazes and gives off a horrible heat.
The flame cannot be put out by conventional standards, only the water from a Spade-spell will quench it, and even then, it will be back the next day, should the caster wish it.
The effect could be genetic, so be careful having kids (especially with a Calloo), and it may or may not be so harmless when coming out in the proverbial "wash".
Once a day, the caster is also able to control whether or not the flame keeps them warm. It will in the cold, should they like it to and don't wish to wear a coat, it can also extend its warmth effects to up to 2 other Cards.
