"SONNUVA!!" She screamed as she was slammed in the legs and knocked over (9). She managed to prevent her head from hitting the ground and any damage beyond a hint of soreness (18), though. Still, she growled, temper barely kept in check. this with being unable to open the window, she was an unhappy thing. She rolled to her side and got up, ignoring Davy and she went to find up something heavy. The rummaged about the room and found a lead pipe (4 on a d4 for items available). Perfect! The metal shaft in her leather-clad palms, she walked over to the window, pipe dragging noisily along behind her. She took a very strong swing, only to feel pain from the vibration in the pipe as if she'd hit a brick wall instead of a window. Motherfucker.
Mother.
Fucker.
Palms still stinging, she gripped the pipe tighter. Looks like the stairs were the only option. She ignored the other two. Every Card for themselves. Although, had she noticed Pan's whip, she would have been a little more inclined to stick together.
She headed straight for the door and began down the stairs without a word.
[bluh, sorry for the lack of interaction. Shift is a bitch. XD ]

Shift has gotten more than an aftershock pain in her hands! Hitting that window seems to have triggered some kind of burglar trap, set to go off if the window was tampered with. Tamper, Tamper...: Once a day, beginning as soon as the curse has been activated, the victim of this curse will begin spewing gibberish for a full three minutes. They are unable to control the badly mangled Common pouring out of their mouths, though their brains work just fine throughout it. The babble is loud, rude, and alerting. Hard to sneak around when this strikes at random once a day, is it not/
Pandora seems to have found a few coppers that spewed out of the door with Davy's tumbling form (5 for Pan, 6 for Davy), and an odd little thing, a bit like a jeweled pin...it tingles a bit, but other than that, and being a pretty pink color, seems to be rather normal. Down the stairs, all involved felt an odd chill, as though something were watching them. Once they reached the bottom, they found a half-unhinged door leading to the streets outside. The old kitchen area they have to walk through to reach the door is musty and full of moldy food. Been a while since anyone was in here, huh? Maybe it was one of the abandoned shoppes or homes from the last invasion of the Capital.
Outside is thick with mist and fog, chilly, and unnatural...but at least it's outside. The streets seem...off somehow, as though they're not in the Capital at all...

Shift paused, for once stopping to think. No. She couldn't leave the other two behind!
There was an obvious need for cannon fodder.
She paused on the stairs and gave an exasperated sigh then turned to call up the stairs. She stopped herself before shouting "you fuckers coming or not?" No, best to be amicable.
"Yeh losehs comin'a naht?" she snapped. Uh. That was... marginally better? Shift was beyond caring. She made a rather loud "tch" noise and moved on. What good was cannon fodder if it slowed you down? She moved on. If they wanted to catch up, they could. She clomped down the stairs into the kitchen of what looked to be a home. Her first thought was to raid the drawers and counter for the usable knives. Weapons first, then exploration. The went straight to the knife block and examined the largest one available. It was sufficiently sharp (10 on a d12), now to find some way to carry it in a way that would reduce injury to self...
