Innokentyi froze where he stood, looking around with wide grey-red eyes at the hallway he stood in. He had...just seconds ago... Katerinka had just been here, and now she wasn't. And Daddy was in another one of his meetings, so he hadn't been around. But where was Katerinka?
"Katya?" He spun in a slow circle, looking for her reassuring white bulk, pale and plain against the remarkable red and gold patterns of the Highlanders that were predominant in the Court. They weren't the only people, of course, but they were the most common. He wasn't sure, but he thought that he and Katya and Daddy were the only ones with their coloring, even if Daddy didn't have fur. It just meant that he felt different from Katya when they cuddled.
"Katya, where are you?"[/color] he called again, nervously looking around himself. Tail twitching back and forth, he crept along, because Katya wasn't here, and none of his other playmates was here either, and Daddy said don't talk to strangers without one of them there.
