Yuri was not particularly given to jealousy, but the revelation of his brother's new ability caused a small stirring of it, and also sadness; he thought it would be curious, if only for a short time, to return to some kind of primal matter and merely drift through the world. But he did not dwell on it. Laika had made a good point and there was probably reason to worry for their brother's safety.

"Some people will snort just about anything," he said, with a despairing kind of awe, looking at Arkady and imagining him being sucked up someone's nose. How awful. "We shouldn't test it," he added, because getting wet purposefully didn't seem less potentially terrible than getting wet accidentally; their brother would just be dead in front of them instead of dead in front of someone else. He did not like that idea at all. "We should just assume something awful would happen and Ark should just avoid the bad stuff." He gave Arkady a wide-eyed glance. "No dust when it's gonna rain, okay? And stay away from people's noses!"

Arkady's eyes widened as his sister went into a lot of horrible scenarios. His mouth worked, but no sound came out and he ended up just shaking his head. He didn't know any of that, and now he was even MORE scared of using his power. His tail went between his legs and he fought to keep down a small whimper. He was never going to use the power. Ever.

He nodded to his brother, jerkily, still trying and failing to summon actual words. He didn't want to test his power. Not now and not ever. There were just too many dangers to being that insubstantial, no matter what his limited knowledge about the power was telling him. Those pills were horribly dangerous and he took a moment to lament the fact his sister had to find them. Though he supposed it could be worse. It could -always- be worse.

"No testing today, I don't think," he finally managed. "Why don't we just go play and maybe forget about this for now?"

Aww, Laika didn't mean to scare her brothers with the thought, even though Yuri looked more... something else... than scared at all the weird scenarios and possibilities she presented. But yeah, no testing things that might accidentally kill Ark. She would rather he not die up somebody's nose or in a puddle somewhere. She nodded solemnly at the 'no testing right now' rule.

"We have tons more stuff to figure out about our powers, but we definitely don't want to do anything today when it's so fresh in our head and everything," she agreed. Her tail wagged once, twice, three times at Ark's suggestion. "But there are tons of games we can play now that the Great Mystery is solved! Just..."

She fixed both of her brothers with a very serious stare. "No telling. Anybody. If we do, we're gonna get in trouble and you both know it. So. Just us. Promise?"

He was glad that they were deciding against experimenting with Ark; going elsewhere to play and pretending they hadn't sneaked into a forbidden zone was probably the wisest course of action.

Yuri's eyes went a little wide at the mention of trouble. No no no, it would not do to tell anyone they had been sticking their curious little snouts where they did not belong. Yuri did not mind time-outs and punishments of that nature--he liked quiet time rather a lot and spending time along in his room was the opposite of unbearable--but as little children grew older they got better punishments tailored to hit them where it would hurt the most. What if Momma took his bug collection away? Unthinkable. This definitely needed to stay between the three of them.

He nodded with all solemnity. "Promise!" he said. Now all that was left was to make a break for it.
