[Didn't have enough to say in one post, so i described setting. I hope that's OK XD] In the nicer west-side of the Outer Bazaar lies a small jewelry store by the name of Whiffiny's. The owner is a young Kite named Will. The inside is small, but many nice items line the walls, one such is a diamond the size of a Horse's head. Will sits behind his counter hoping for a customer. " I do wish someone would come by to buy something; the jewels look lonely with no one to buy them." He sighed. " Business has been quite slow, i do hope that i shall break even this quarter; else those thrice damned Loan Weasel's will charge me an arm and a leg. How would i walk i wonder?" He mused to himself. " If i could sell that large diamond. I am quite sure I would profit, get those Weasel's of my back, and maybe meet a friend. It is lonely here." He said with a frown. Ding a ling, rang the bell at the door, Will looked up from his thoughts wondering "Who could that be?"

The Outer Bazaar was generally the last place in Wonderland Graeme McDuck would care to find himself, but today was an exception. He'd been negotiating a trade of some extremely valuable and rare artifacts that very few Cards knew the true worth of, and some of the most knowledgeable of experts chose to set up shop in some of the oddest areas, at least in Graeme's opinion. Despite his obvious wealth, from the way he carried himself to his expensive suit and hat, most knew better than to mess with him. The last one that had was probably still in the hospital. After a successful deal made, Graeme was whistling and twirling his cane a bit as he strolled at a leisurely pace back towards where his personal carriage was waiting. He paused, suddenly, just stopped dead, and he couldn't, for a moment, say what it was that had made him do so. Turning, he saw a little...jewelry shop? What an odd thing to find here. It seemed so out of place next to the thrift store and small grocery that it was nestled between. With a shrug, knowing he had time, the Duck strolled casually over and pushed his way into the shop, the jingle of a little bell greeting him as he did so.

Will looked up to find a large bipedal duck enter the store. His obvious wealth and demeanor showed Will some one he should respect. "Hmmm he looks quite wealthy and a Highlander as well; i wonder if he would be interested in that diamond of mine." He thought to himself.
Will walked over to the door where the duck stood, gave a small bow and asked "Good morrow sir, can I interest you in some jewels? I have all the rarest and most precious available. Hisstor topaz, Tulgey diamonds, even a few rare black Torquehelm pearls. OH! Do please forgive my rudeness, can i take your hat or coat Sir?" He asked.
Will was quite embarrassed, he had not meant to suddenly leap upon a customer with his wares, but business was very slow and a chance to make money was exiting. He again gave a small bow and proffered a wing to his visitor.

Barely had Graeme had a chance to set webbed foot inside the little shop than he was accosted by the owner (or so he could only assume) in a flurry of golden feathers. He had to lean heavily on his cane to avoid falling backwards out of the shop from the sheer surprise of it. His eyebrows crawled up under his hat while he waited for the man to take a breath so he could actually get a word in. At least he seemed polite in speech, even if he was obviously overeager for a customer who actually looked like he could afford some of his wares. Finally, the other Avian asked a question and then, the Duck saw his opportunity.
He cleared his throat importantly and brandished his cane to get him to back up a bit. "No, thank ye, Ah'll keep wearing me effects." Because they still weren't in the nicest section of town, though not that he had a chance to look around, the small shop was well kept and all the wares were under glass. "Ah'll take a look at some o'what ye got," he agreed, and wandered over to one of the displays, fully expecting the Hawk to leap up with an explanation of what, exactly, he was looking at.

Will shook his head in assent to the duck for keeping his hat and coat, after all it was the bazaar. Will saw the duck walk over to a case and begin to look around. Will walked over silently trying to compose himself.
"Squawk i see you lika the necklace it very nice... Cough cough, Excuse me for that outburst. That is a rare Golfam necklace made with the most precious of topaz, Jasper, and amber." He said.
He walked over to another case and presented a wing. "This i think would be more your taste. It is a ring made of white gold with thin streams of regular gold and a large ruby on top. Its coloring is a match for any highlander, and it is not quite as expensive as the Diamond of Tash over there."

This Hawk did not disappoint. A faint smile curled the edges of his bill as Graeme heard the sound of clinking claws on tile, and then the store owner (he had to be the owner; after a bit more contemplation it was obvious) immediately launched into an explanation of his wares, complete with a rather inelegant squawking noise. Was it that odd to get a customer? The Duck could certainly believe it. "The Golfram?" He eyed the necklace doubtfully. True, a few treasures could come out of that swampland, and he knew that better than most, being a treasure hunter of no small accomplishment, but topaz?
Still, it was clearly of value, though he pivoted neatly to see the other display. Gold? Now that was more to his taste, and he took a subtle sniff to verify the claim that it was as pure as the Hawk said. Interesting. He strolled over to the case with the ring and rested an elbow on it, streaking his finger over the very clean top. Free of dust. Clearly, this man was very dedicated, which bore the question...
"Forgive me for askin', lad, but why're ye stuck in this dump?" He pointed his cane at the windows, lovely, except that the view outside showed a dingy back alley and a dirtier road.

Will saw the duck examining the necklace and then marching over to smell the ring. "This fellow is quite wise when it comes to these jewels, I do believe i have a buyer, now to just sell that diamond." He thought to himself.
The biped's question brought Will out of his reverie and back to the world. "Well I beleive, it is that I wanted to go out on my own and make my money, in the stead of inheritance. I would have liked to start out somewhere nicer, but my money was quite short and this was available. Though dont think my wares are cheap or fake, because of the tightness of my purse." He replied.
"If i may be so bold, sir; may i ask why a fellow of your obvious wealth and status would come to some dingy corner of the realms?" He inquired.

Graeme nodded in quiet approval at the answer the other man gave. "Ah, well, Ah understand the desire t'make your own way in th'world! There just are nae a lot o'customers lookin' t'buy jewels around these parts. And Ah hope you've taken precautions against thieves and other ruffians!" The Duck seemed to be getting quite excited now, wings flared slightly as he paced in front of the case with the ring, gold-orange eyes glowing slightly. (This was actually due to the same ability that allowed him to smell gold, not that the Hawk would know that).
By this point, he'd all but decided he'd probably buy -something- from the Hawk, was long as he could verify its genuineness. The Highland mix valued dedication and hard work more than he did any of these actual jewels, though of course he was hoping he could buy something worth a lot and resell it to a collector.
"Ah think ye'd do well, lad, t'try and move out o'this dump. It's all in the location, ye ken!" Graeme paused in his ranting as he realized he'd been ask a question. Drawing himself up to his full height and setting his cane on the ground with an authoritative -clack-, he peered through his spectacles at the Hawk. "Ye may ask, but Ah don't care t'answer ye," he said mildly. "M'name's Graeme McDuck, by the way, owner of McDuck Enterprises."
