It was a sudden impulse she felt like following. She kissed Shelby on the cheek, a smile on her face. "No, you don't have to bother helping me. I'm sorry I caused such a mess... I can walk to my room all on my own, and this time I won't trip over myself."
He seemed a little taken aback. She couldn't blame him, it wasn't every day she thanked him for something. But he really was a great brother, and she was lucky to have him. If she had a sister... she was sure things would be a big mess. Boys may have been a "bad thing" but she really like her brother, and if he wasn't so bad... maybe the future Jack she had would be nice.
It was probably a long shot. Jacks seemed to be completely different from everything. She smiled at her brother before carefully hopping off.
(( OOC: herm... I think playing with them a bit older would be nice. Totally up to you if you want to close this thread and start a new one or just continue with this one. ))

((if we start a new one, you could use Fleur's pretty adult piccy! I vote for that.)) Shelby was expecting to just leave, one way or the other, after his sister's reply. What he wasn't expecting was for her to -kiss- him. Shelby's eyes widened in surprise, a small amount of pink coloring his cheeks as his whiskers twitched. She'd never...shown him such affection before. Part of him protested that it was girly to like those sorts of mushy family displays of affection, but another, larger part felt rather warm and fuzzy. Even Mom had never really been one for such open displays, or it might have just been that he was such a disappointment to her. Shelby was so flabbergasted by the display that he didn't even protest and insist on helping her, like he'd been planning before. He just...watched as she walked out of the room, a slow smile curling onto his face. " You're still a brat, Fleur," he told the door several minutes after she'd left. " But you're also kinda sweet sometimes. And I'm glad you're my sister." He'd never say that to her face, of course. Whether he was supposed to pretend to be a girl or not, it didn't mean he had to be all sappy. It wasn't really the Rabbit way. But...the feelings were there. Eventually, of course, he still had to return to his lessons, much to his chagrin. And while Mom might have gone easy on him, he knew his teacher certainly wouldn't spare any lectures...
